    The Air and the Ether

Testing the 2021 version! I agree wholeheartedly with starbrow, very much a perfect sleep scent. The version I have is pretty fresh, tested after resting a few days from the mail. In the bottle, a burst of herbal lavender. Woo! On the skin, it becomes a bit sweeter, vanilla far in the background. As it warms on the skin, the vanilla and amber swirl together with the lavender and they all become one. Omg. Some core memory is being triggered for me here. I feel like this is a tranquilizer, in the best way.

Soft May the Worms About Her Creep

This is a gorgeous summer perfume! The star jasmine is the main player upon first sniff but is beautifully blended into a creamy floral. The dry coconut husk and cream are just pillowy soft and smooth together, and the oudh comes out on the skin, steering this into a truly cohesive perfume. For those of you that have aversion to heady jasmine, fear not! Star jasmine is in its own genus and species, and does not stray into indole territory. Very happy with my blind bottle purchase!

    Shadow

In the bottle, I get clove and oudh. On the skin, it becomes a sweet clove and musky amber. I tend to amp clove on th skin, so I don’t get a cologne feel here as I think the clove is dominating the rest. It’s really gorgeous and I think it leans masculine but is easily gender neutral, bouncing between a muted brown-based grey feel in my minds eye.

    Le Pater

I received this in the mail yesterday and used as much self control as I have (which is very little) with intent to rest and tested a dab this morning. As of now, it’s reading as a single note oakmoss. Fine with me, as it’s one of my favorite notes. I’m getting a tiny smidge of leather 30 mins in as it dries down. These listed notes will all have to battle it out over the next 6 months or so in a dark box. I feel this has promise but needs time to meld. The bottle artwork by Mucha is beautiful, and I’m very pleased with my new Century Guild package!
  5. Tobacco, myrrh, then pink pepper show up on my skin. Then the tart sweetness and a lil buzz of ginger. Overall, I’m liking this and it’s not like anything I’ve tried. This is a chewy tobacco blend I can see myself wearing a lot.

You May House Their Bodies But Not Their Souls

I’m going there and am saying this is the patch from RR. Is it RR? No. But, it’s a less sweet, more commercial leaning (not that it is) patchouli blend. The amber and musk make this a different thing altogether. Still, fans of RR Ask the Nearest Hippie, and non gourmand patchouli lovers will love this. I LOVE THIS. Beautifully blended, beautiful cause. 🖤

Vanilla Husk, Nutmeg, & Hay Absolute

This is lovely! Totally agree with the above reviews on the lemon. One of my favorites of the trios I’ve tried in recent years. If you loved or missed out on Hay Moon 2020, jump on this!

    Sugar Cookie Peacock Queen

Im very sad about this one. It’s burnt brown sugar over a perfect red rose. It’s like sugar skull came in and ruined this. I was thinking this cookie would be more of a snickerdoodle or plain white sugar cookie. If you like the caramelized sugar vibe, or sugar skull with rose instead of fruits, this may work for you. My skin takes this to burnt caramel, not a flourmand.

Chibi Skull With Last Will and Testament

I was today years old when I learned: “The term "Bourbon vanilla" refers to the vanilla beans' provenance as being from the Bourbon Islands, most commonly Madagascar but also Mauritius and Réunion. The name comes from the period when the island of Réunion was ruled by the Bourbon kings of France and has no relation to Bourbon whiskey.” I was a bit stumped because I don’t have a lot of vanilla forward scents, and this was so sweet and not a trace of bourbon to my nose and now I realize after a smidge of googling that the scents I’ve avoided because of this type of vanilla were not ones to shy away from at all. Anyway … I very much like this. It does start out almost sickeningly sweet, but give it half an hour and you’ll be in sweet patchouli land. I totally agree with @Amazonia ‘s review above.

    Traditional Sheet Ghost

Hooray! It’s not the dreaded laundry soap of last year’s cozy sweater. I was hoping this would have a similar one to Boo, but it is definitely its own thing. Low throw, sweet but not foodie and I keep going back to my wrist to sniff. It’s clean and comforting.

The Elephant is Slow to Mate

Red!!! This is juicy, red and black ripe and musky fruits, patchouli and resins with a chewy tobacco. It reminds me of Insects, and does share the fruit, patchouli and opoponax which makes sense! Absolute masterpiece. The roses are not reading as roses to me, just giving this a bit of a “floriental” vibe. The red musk is certainly a player but the blend is not dominated by it. Gorgeous!

    Tricksy

OMG yes yes yes. If you like BB/RR, this is THAT patchouli. The oud (aquilaria) is just sexifying this right up with some incense vibes, and the honey- pulling it together with a sweet note. If you don't like honey, you won't like this, although it's mostly dark, woodsy patchouli. I can't believe how good this is. It's not a gateway patch scent, like previously mentioned (another that comes to mind with same patch is SilkyBat), but they too share this patchouli. If you want something that says, "high, I'm a sexy, confident and badass individual with a compassionate side" this is it. I accidentally slathered this on my ankle, as I am testing a bunch of scents today and ran out of room. You don't need much of this at all. I can't wait to wear it for some yoga! This just shot up to my top ten.

    To a Wreath of Snow

This is so pretty! The husband loved it too, said it’s up there with the million I’ve had him sniff. I totally agree with the similarities drawn to Vision but I like this more but can’t put a finger on why! It’s exactly what I was looking for. I don’t think I can necessarily pick out certain notes besides the tobacco flower. It’s somewhat sweet, not gourmand though. It’s even more beautiful after a little time to warm on the skin. Yay!

    Teakwood, Moss & Salt

Surprisingly awesome. I had no idea what teakwood was going to do on my skin, but I grabbed this for the moss, as I’ve realized it really just always works on me, at least in the dry down when it’s makes things all dustified.in the bottle, it smells salty and fizzy. Once it hits the skin, the wood and salt blends and it takes on a somewhat clean smell, like clean and sweaty skin if that makes sense. As it dries, it’s like a memory of cologne when the moss shows up. Very happy I tried this in a free sniffer that rode along with some other imps. I’ll be grabbing a bottle to split with my husband (if he’s lucky).

    Gingerbread Invisible Man

This smells like a delicious holiday champagne cocktail. Like a French 75 with a bit of Yule? Yum. I don’t typically enjoy citrus on my skin, but this is somehow a surprise hit for me. If you want that gingerbread note, I agree with the reviews above, it’s not as much as gingerbread leather or the gingerbread witch. This is just a bit and it’s in perfect balance with the other notes to frankly make a really nice overall scent! I did upgrade to a bottle, it’s just so evocative of the festivities we all most likely missed out on this Yule season.

    Malevolent Visions

This beauty arrived in the mail today! I did not give it much time to settle but no matter... it’s glorious. In the bottle, the first thing to hit my nose is the frankincense, then the pink pepper and I think the opium. Wet on the skin, it reads as more floral and then as it dries down you can pick out the rose and clove. Now that’s it’s been on a few minutes, the clove and florals start to blend together beautifully an it gets creamier. I love pink peppercorn and that remains a top note so far. I can tell this is going to age nicely. Damn, nice job!!!

    Fir Needle & Smoke

Purchased a decant of this. It’s really lovely. The fir note is perfectly balanced with the smoke. I’ve never worn anything like this, so I have no idea what to layer it with but I love it solo. I don’t know if I’m upgrading to a full size, but out of the few duets I tested from this release, this is the strongest contender. I’m actually tempted by that cute birdie bottle artwork too. I think what’s keeping me on the fence is the fairly short wear. I’ll be retesting this and will at least enjoy my decant.

    Perfectly Normal Childhood

This was my first Lilith launch. I’ve purchased bottles and decants, and oh man... I’m turning into a gourmand lover. This decant was so good that I sprung for another and I’m still contemplating a bottle. It’s fluffy, white, and oh so comforting. The cardamom is nice and grounding. I definitely prefer this over pink lovebird. Cake batter and cardamom lead the way, and as it dries you can smell marshmallows, right out of the bag. Yum. ETA: I finally pulled the trigger on a bottle. The staying power on this is insane and I love it.

    Marshmallow Snow

Well, this was a surprise! In the bottle.. Slushy, cold pine with a hint of camphor? I expected a much sweeter opening. Wet on the skin, it’s a sweet pine. Hello YULE. As it dries, marshmallow starts to show up more and warms it up. I do like this a lot, but thought it would be like a marshmallow Snow White. This is a different snow note and it’s much more cold. Love it. Definitely happy that I blind bottled this, as I don’t have any of this snow note in my collection.

Smells to Work Out To - 30 Day Challenge

We’ve been naughty! Well, about reporting out, that is. WOSOTD: Kai Kai and Marshmallow Snow. I didn’t layer them, but tried Marshmallow Snow on the top of my wrists and Kai Kai in the crook of my elbows. Just testing my order that arrived from the lab yesterday and some other swaps and such. It was a great mail day yesterday! I love both scents and need to find more Kai Kai. 60 mins of yoga sculpt with weights was the game today.

Smells to Work Out To - 30 Day Challenge

Hi workout witches! Today I went on a six mile hike in the Columbia gorge with my husband and dogs. Wore my fabled Blue, Bloody Supermoon Lunar Eclipse. A kind would sold me her bottle and I’m so grateful! My man said it smelled like jolly ranchers. I guess the berries are strong once the skin warms up. I’ve been working out at least every other day, mixed in barre (Dailey Method) online, CorePower and weekend walks or hikes. Work has been super slamming, so I haven’t had much time to journal my activities since I squeeze the workouts in on my hour long lunch breaks. great job to everyone out there moving those bods when we can!💕

    Dusk in Autumn

Oh wow. This is such a winner. I am so glad this caught my eye and that I blind bottled it based on the notes alone. This opens with a good amount of smoky tea, dead leaves, and a touch of sweetness from the currant. As it dries, the mandrake root grounds the sweetness of the berries. I adore this. Not gourmand, no cake, at least to my nose. This is witchy woman goals achieved! The reviews above about this being atmospheric are spot on.

Smells to Work Out To - 30 Day Challenge

I hope you all are having a lovely weekend! WOSOTD: Snow at Dusk. I love the snow note in this. Pretty sure it's the same snow from Snow White. This is like goth AF snow white. Notes: Swirled grey and purple in the gloaming: snowdrifts shadowed with opium tar, wild plum, Siamese benzoin, champaca resinoid, muguet, and carnation. Today's workout was another hour long class, focusing on lower body. So. Many. Lunges. It was a really fun class that I have actually done 3x now, just because I know it really hits the spot for leg/glute day.

Hi all! @Lucchesa I actually am not at all sure about those coming down! HRv45 is my first TAL, got it off of the Etsy TAL page and it's still up! Adrien's day one did have a somewhat extended downward dog moment, but it was very mellow. Slow burn, she called it. @Amazonia you're kicking ass! Goblin is the freaking best. New love of mine for sure, agree with the sentiment re: patch in SO... same one for me as RR/BB and Grave-Pig? I just love PATCHOULI. I never thought I would , thank the sweet lab. WOSOTD: nothing. For shame. I totally forgot! Yoga sculpt with some intense HIIT thrown in, super fun! Then tore apart and cleaned both bathrooms and I don't think it was even this clean when we moved in 2 years back. I am unsure how many hours I was cleaning, but it was a while. I'm chuffed with myself, if you can't tell. LOL. Cleaned my makeup brushes, catered to my many indoor plants and took the dogs on a walk I am whooped. Took a bath, put on Dead Leaves, Pistachio and Marshmallow Cream, which I cannot get enough of. ❤️

@Lucchesa sorry to hear your shoulder is still pissed! Just ordered a bottle of GV and my long sought after Lithograph of a Mountain Goat from a forumite yesterday. I’m looking forward to trying GV, especially. Good job with the steps! WOSOTD: TAL Honey Rose v45. I love this one! It lasted for so long. It’s comforting, slightly sweet, perfect rose. I did some yoga with Adrien on YouTube. I needed to take a step back and really stretch and do some good old fashion yoga. The slow burn is real. It was day one of her 30 day thing. A few days late but I’m here for it.
