At first the floral was over-whelming for me, but I've never liked Jasmine. As I let it settle down the Gardenia becomes more prominent which is so delicious. It's crazy how fast a scent can change from let me go wash this off to wow I really love this. The vanilla's only subtly add to the creaminess of the Gardenia. A very nice blend! It has the teeny-tiniest plastic on me, like Mouse Circus.

Blueberry blueberry lavender! I love this for the summer. I feel like a little kid would love this its so fun and utterly delicious it smells like a treat.

I am a very tough cookie to please. Many BPAL blends are far too heady for me but this is lovely. It distinctly reminds me of a blend Lush would use in their bath products. I really think this could be a huge hit for people who are tougher to please. It is spicy and beautiful.

Delicious, amazing, exactly what I expected. Yes, similar to TKO and I love it.

For me, Sugar Cookie is that quintessential vanilla, foodie scent. I saw it being sold in the thread here recently... I'm going to try your AL + TKO combination. I'll have to wait for night though to test because TKO is associated with falling asleep on lavender marshmallow clouds in my mind, so I'm afraid it will be too relaxing for daytime wear... I did equal amounts of each for reference. Dry down was TKO heavy. Let me know how it works for you!

Hello! I'm looking to get recommendations for my next purchase and opinions on my most recent one. I'm trying to find a BPAL oil I enjoy (hopefully love), which has yet to happen. Here are the scents I have purchased in IMPS and tested on my skin (all aged a year): Aglaea Snake Oil- Just puts me off with how intense it is and I barely get any vanilla. Nephilim- The most offensive of the lot to me. The Rose- Disappeared on my skin. It definitely smelled like a fresh cut rose but it wasn't for me. Poisoned Apple Croquet Ü- Was ecstatic to find this at the mutter museum a while back but I was not interested in the scent. Recent purchase I have yet to receive: TKO (took a risk purchasing the full size as I saw it compared to Lush's Twilight scent) Eclipse Jack Miskatonic University Did I make good decisions with my most recent purchase? Did anyone else have such trouble finding their favorite scent? Any recommendations opinions? I love sweetness and I honestly kind of want to smell like a dessert (I'm a Taurus you see). PS Fruit Loops are my favorite cereal and any recs for perfumes that smell like that are greatly appreciated. I have also been eyeing mouse circus since it was released. Thoughts? The idea of cotton candy and popcorn is so delightful.

That you Sprout that really is an amazing list! I definitely saw a few to pique my curiosity And thanks as well Ziggy. Last night I layered Antique Lace and TKO and while TKO dominated as I fell to sleep when I woke up all bleary eyed at 6am I swore my husband was baking vanilla cookies. When I woke up again at 8 I realized that was what 10 hours of faded AL/TKO was. Delicious vanilla cookies. So now I'm on the hunt for a basic Vanilla cookies/Pure vanilla extract scent.

I tried Eat Me 4 years ago now and I really disliked it. Even though I usually love black currant Love's Philosophy really sounds sooo deliciously lovely though. I really hope I one day get a chance to try it.

thank you! I did check the plunder notes list and I wouldn't have ever pegged it as similar. But given that its GC I'll check out an imp.

I love thieves oil and was looking for a BPAL equivalent blend. I've looked on the threads and spreadsheets but haven't been able to find anything. My favorite iteration of Thieves is: Clove, Lemon, Cinnamon, Eucalyptus, Rosemary, Thyme, Bay, Lavender, Clary sage, and Tangerine. Anyone aware of a blend that is similar or close to Thieves? I noticed Over Acuteness of the Sense is a little similar (orange blossom, lemon balm, and clove.)

Thanks a bunch I'll give it a look right away!

This smells exactly like a slightly sweeter version of my Father's cologne. Which is a Polo blend in a green bottle he has had for ages. It's comforting to smell. It's definitely masculine to my nose. Smelling an open bottle reminds me of a halloween candy chocolate wrapper, where the sweet memory of chocolate was.

This is very beautiful and as it fades it just gets more beautiful. The rose isn't green, it's a full petaled blooming pink rose. This is a scent that truly evokes a finely decorated sitting room in a tudor mansion. Very very classy. I feel like I should be preparing for a grand ball. What a wonderful scent. However, I feel it doesn't suit my personality.

I accidentally ate some of this and it does not taste good haha. This reminds me of big red gum. I can see why some get cherries. This really is a nice basic cinnamon scent.

Flowery Shampoo! I like it. It's definitely a lovely sweet floral scent.

Oh wow! This seems kind of masculine to me. I really like it! This would be a delightful laundry spray. I wish I could somehow add this scent to freshly washed clothes. The rosewood is delicious. With those notes I'm so surprised this is pulling male on me. This shares only lavender with Wilde but I find them similar.

When I was little my mother bought my sister and I two pairs of rosary beads. My Mom dubbed it a miracle after praying to Mary that the beads took on the wonderful scent of rose. It was a full bodied sweet and woody (perhaps smoky) rose, of course the wood lent by the olive wood of the beads. Anyone have any suggestions for a BPAL equivalent scent? I have only tried The Rose before and it was much too green for my taste.

This was my first exposure to Dorian, yet from this scent I got grass. Grassy grassy grass.

If your top 5 scents are... Then try these!

Lots has changed in a short time. new list! 1. TKO massage oil (sweeter than perfume oil to me) 2. Stekkjarstaur 3. Moon reflected in every rice paddy Bit of a gap here because I adore the top 3 yet only enjoy the rest. 4. Antique Lace 5. Devos Unicorn -
In the bottle this smells like play dough with a few chocolate truffles mushed into it. However I only gave the bottle a sniff after I had applied it to my hair. This is an utterly gorgeous scent applied. So deliciously otherworldly, warm, and sweet. I truly love this scent that evokes a sight I have the luxury to see often in this beautiful country.

Ohhh thanks for the phoenix recommendation! I wouldn't be upset if a decant of Edith ended up in my grasp too haha. I'll check out Detestable and Sachs. Never heard of the latter.

I feel like I have a pretty good grasp now on what BPAL I like. There are still a few rogue anomalies like Jazz Funeral. Seriously, not one of those notes sounds good to me, yet it's a winner. Now I am looking for vanilla favorites. I seem to enjoy anything featuring it. My recent favorites are The Moon Reflected in Every Rice Paddy and TKO massage oil. And I did get a shot at Dorian but it's not for me or my husband. He seems to enjoy Wilde much more.

Chocolate and Cocoa, in every combination possible
Nilbog replied to mand's topic in Recommendations
Just checking to see if anyone ever found a sweet cocoa scent similar to the heavy perfume in The Too Faced Chocolate bar palette? I love the scent and the only chocolate BPAL scent I have tried failed miserably on me.
