Wet: A warm, thick, woodsy vanilla Dry-down. The vanilla gets richer and all the other notes work to compliment it. I didn't expect to like this scent at all, but I'm pleasantry surprised.

I am so glad I managed to track down a bottle of this. The earlier reviews talking about eucalyptus kind of scared me, but thankfully I don't smell any of that. This is a wonderful woodsy/floral/aquatic that at times smells floral, at other times honey, and at others such an ethereal, smoky, airy something. This is such a good autumn scent.

Gorgeous Such a beautiful white floral, with a hint of green. I love muget and orchid, and the sandalwood adds a richness and depth to the whole perfume. It's reminiscent of White Moon, with a more sensual, serious note. I am so glad I got two bottles of this

Ugh. Sour wine.

Wet: lovely floral incense, with a hint of rose. It dries dusky and mellow, but it fades too quickly.

Gorgeous, herbal, woodsy musk. It smells green and brown. This has to be my favorite "woodsy" scent.

I can't get over the lurid lime green jell-o coloring of this perfume. The scent is to be expected: pine. Thankfully, it's not pine-cleaner pine. On my skin: Yep, pine. 4 hours (and one shower) later: Still pine.

The lily scent is tempered with an herbal sharpness. It reminds me a bit of the overwhelming green scent in jasmine sambac. It's strong, and it throws, but it's very monotonous.

In the bottle it smells of tulips. It's a green scent, with hints of peony and an aquatic overlay. It's sort of meh on me.

Eternal desire, unquenchable passion: red musk, cocoa absolute, Nepalese amber, red sandalwood, aged patchouli, nicotiana, and blood wine. I got a frimp of this with my last order. I knew from the notes that I wouldn't like it, but I tried it anyways...just in case. While wet, and in the bottle it smells like red wine and incense. On my skin it turns to chocolate. It's so not me.

In the bottle, I thought it would be too strong, too heavy for me to wear. But luckily I spilled some on my finger and as it dried it turned lovely. Wet, it's smoky/grassy/dirt, which is a little overpowering. Drying, there's a sharpness, almost cloying scent. Dry, it reminds me a bit of Wicked and Clio, with that really good, rich, musky amber. It's a cool scent that's also warming. I like it a lot. I'm not sure about a bottle, though. It definitely needs more testing.

In the bottle: a lovely soft rosy vanilla. On skin: it starts off buttery and then sweetens as the gardenia comes out. Drying: A very sweet floral. Then the vanilla and jasmine come to the fore. It's lovely, all in all.

There's nothing golden or light in this for me. It's heavy, dark, woodsy, and smoky. There's a strong cedar scent. It's not a bad perfume--it's really nice and would be great in the winter. But the description so did not match up with what I smelled, so it throws me for a loop.

My switch witch gave me three different ages of Snake Oil, so I was able to see how they all age. June 2007 Wet: High, alcoholic vanilla. It smells like vanilla extract. Drying: The spices come out, it's almost resinous. There's a bit of powder in the background Dry: Smoky incense with a hint of vanilla June 2006 Wet: Still the alcoholic vanilla extract, but mellower Drying: Warm vanilla. Much smoother than wet or the 07. Dry: Incense/resin with warm vanilla. January 2005 Wet: Mellow, aged vanilla. The same aged quality you get from very good whiskey. Dry: Beautiful, rich, spicy languid vanilla. Sweet and rich. It's a very close-to-the-skin scent, it has no throw. It's intimate, which is good. My favorite age is the January 2005, which is 2 years, 8 months old. So I should get a bottle or two now and just horde them. It's a gorgeous scent, but I love Cottonmouth more. The florals add a dimension that just works so well for me.

Wet: high, herbal notes Dry: lavender and sage predominate. Very masculine, but of the high-scented cologne knind of man. Ultimately, I don't like it.

I love rose and jasmine, so when I saw a bottle of this on the forum, I grabbed it. If Rose Red is the perfect winter rose, then Helena reminds me of summer roses: the fresh roses that bloom in early June. The only drawback to this perfume is that it fades relatively quickly (within an hour), and I have to re-apply often. I like it better in the bottle than on my skin, so I might use it in a room diffuser, if I ever get one. It is a lovely, balanced rose scent with depth and character.

I found this to be very cologne-like. A high, herbal scent that didn't impress me. I really didn't get a sense of the rose, which was unfortunate.

O is all Oh.... in the bottle But on my skin it's all oh ------- I've never had a scent turn to major amping powder as fast as O, which is a shame, as it's gorgeous in the bottle.

Notorious for its properties for protection against werewolves and curing lycanthropy, this nefarious plant also has a fine history of use as a virulent poison. Clasically, Medea employed it in her many works of vengeance. This concoction of ours has none of the lethal qualities, but still personifies all of the herb's dark history beautifully. It smelled like dirt, patchouli, and pine mulch. And it throws. It's too heavy for me.

I love this floral. It's a sweet, high, late spring garden floral. It has both flowers and green notes. It reminds me a bit of jasmine sambac--how that is a more complex, richer, greener jasmine than plain jasmine. This is a complex, rich floral boquet, that still retinns the greenery and earthiness of growing things. I love it.

If you could smell the Platonic idea of orchid, it might smell like this. It's green and white at the same time. A lovely, deep, pure orchid. It has a lovely throw, and reminds me a bit of White Moon.

The cololr of this perfume is an alien shade of yellow-green. The color that the Mothership glows as the pod bay doors open and the flying saucer exits on its mission. It smells...complex. There's a freshness, an aloofness....It's full of high ozone scents, and dry, dusty earth at the same time. It's innovative and interesting, but it's just not a scent for me.

Ethereal musk, blonde woods, and dusty Bible accord. In the imp, it smells arid and dry, which is disconcerting, because I don't expect something *wet* to smell that way. I guess it's just the magic of perfume. Wearign it, it's strong, high, dry and dusty. A bookish scent. It reminds me of Mr. Ibis and Clio a little--maybe the papyrus, "dry parchment of scrolls," and "dusty Bible accord" are all the same note. It's a nice scent, but not for me. I have Clio for my books and academia moods.
