2008 version lighter and less smoky/incensey than 2007 but still Sugar Skully goodness. Swirling purple velvet. Sweet and dark and lovely. Makes me think of Stevie Nicks.

Strawberry taffy and cotton candy. This is so good. Not plasticky strawberry, but light and effervescent. eta: seems to have light throw until you start dancing to Peruvian music! Then it wafts delightfully. A hint of graham cracker crumbs - no idea where I'm getting that, but it's there. Better than average wearlength. Decidedly PINK scent. Great on skin and in scent locket.

There is lavender in this but I am so bad at identifying notes, I cannot tell you what else. I do know that it WORKS. I huffed this all the way to the Bahamas and back on a tiny prop plane and did not have a panic attack. Now that's a miracle!

On my skin and in the bottle, this is a chidhood memory: inhaling the sent of raspberry Kool-Aid powder upon opening the packet. Powdery, sugary raspberry. I know there are other notes, but that's what I get.

A friend picked this up for me at Comic Con. SGA defies description. So here I got trying to describe it anyway. There's some chilly apple. Something slightly minty/medicinal - like menthol or eucalyptus. Whatever that is, it reminds me of men's aftershave but not really. This smells cool and clean, unisex. Not foody at all. Almost aquatic? I want to scent my sheets, my closet, my house with this! Totally morphs on the skin from the bottle scent.

Irrelevant and Disturbing Surreal Crawdad Dream

Wet - blueberries and juicy currants Dry - hello benzoin, my friend, and green tea, oh how I love you! Blueberry green tea. The red musk is almost indetectable. It just grounds the berries and keeps this blend from being cloying. It's blueberries warmed by the sun, warm earth and green tea. The stuff dreams are made of! -
I can smell the snow. And the trees. This smells so clean, so restful, so peaceful and quiet, like the quiet of being alone in a snow-covered forest.

Very warm and golden. Calming yet uplifting. Amber, frankincense, and spices are what I smell. I wish I could wear this as perfume!
-
Amber, musk, and lilies. Very floral. Very summery. I will layer with the bath oil and report back soon!

Swoon. I get peach, amber and a hint of the orchid and carnation. Amazing throw. I put some on my hands and the scent lasted for hours. Never before have I had a reason to say to my friends "SMELL MY FINGERS!!"
-
Peach tea, a hint of citrus and florals. I was gifted a sniffy and immediately began my hunt for a bottle. I am happy to say I tracked down a partial which I love and pet and call George.

Smells like juniper berries. It's actually quite delicate. It is quite sophisticated. Spa-like. I am biased because I love a good martini and gin is my preference. This kinda smells like Bombay Sapphire minus the alcoholic tingle. Smells a bit cool - refreshing, like a Gin & Tonic on a hot day.

Fresh and clean but feminine at the same time. The perfect scent when you want a subtle scent. Think garden party or wedding. I wore this with a linen dress and felt fresh, cool, and 100% girly all day long!

Fresh, clean, light, summery. Definitely a light green - almost chartreuse - scent. Perfect for summer. Totally different from my usual florals and foodies.

Monoi de Tahiti, vanilla, white coconut, tuberose, ylang ylang, white musk, red hibiscus, and neroli. Tropical flowers and fruits. Excellent in a scent locket!
-
Very soft clean floral. The lavender fades too quickly for my liking but it would be a nice summer blend even so.

This smells exactly like caramel corn with toffee peanuts. Exactly. In fact, I am going to have to stop sniffing my arm now since it is making me have an uncontrollable desire for caramel corn. ETA: In the bottle it smells coffee-ish and I just realized what it reminds me of in bottle: Starbucks Toffee Nut Latte. Happily the coffee note is not present on my skin.
-
MARAE Vanilla orchid, Monoi tiare, gardenia, and light incense. *swoon* Gorgeously heady tropical paradise in a bottle.

wet: pineapple dry: mmmm pina coladas! and now I am singing.... if you like pina coladas and getting caught in the rain

Ripe juicy blueberries On my skin, the papaya comes out to play with the blueberries. Just a hint of lemongrass. All the notes blend so well. This is a wonderful fruity blend that is neither cloying nor overpowering.

In the imp: awapuhi - very sweet exotic floral Wet: awapuhi Dry: the sea foam and seaweed come out and the awapuhi is basically way in the background. This is unique. Wet - a womanly fragrance. Dry - unisex. Very fresh and clean. ADDED July 3: Begins All Awapuhi, All The Time. Dries down to something less sweet and more clean. A wonderful summer scent, totally unlike any other BPAL I have tried.

First impression: pink grapefruit! Juicy! wet: grapefruit & lime dry: still citrussy but not extremely tart faded quickly on my skin. This is spectacular in my scent locket - stays juicy and citrussy. So yummy it makes me want a drink that tastes like this smells!

Red velvet cake. Dries down a bit off (like spoilt milk) on me, but stays true and delicious in my scent locket.

Nom nom nom. Thin Mint cookies. Dries down a bit cardboard-y one week of the month. Great for migraine relief.
