This is one of those foody smells I can't wear. The fruit & nut notes are just overpowering. How-be-ever--a dab in the aromatherapy diffuser in my bedroom, and oh my! Yummy. I have 3 imps of it (somehow) and won't be getting rid of them anytime soon.

Very nice! (applauds) I'm bicraftual (both knit and crochet ) and I find crochet less skeery...whether because I leanred it first, or because if you make a mistake it's much easier to rip back to that point & start up again without risking losing the whole dang project. lol!

My initial note on this one was 'fruity, maybe too much so'. I got brave & put some on, & after a while the fruity mellowed out & more floral emerged. Now it's a very nice mix. Me likee. *g*

Wow, I thought I'd reviewed this...LOVE it. It is mostly ginger & patchouli on me, spicy & warm & yummy. I hope short & to the point is ok. *g*

This is some luscious stuff. The floral and incense & sweet notes all blend beautifully on me. So why did I have to get this imp the day I swore off buying BPAL till I save up the money that was stolen from me this week? (aha...swap!!)

This goes totally cinnamon on me, and doesn't come back. However--I put some 13 (the current formulation) on over it, & the cinnamon was balanced by the slight sweetness of the herbs & cocoa. Kinda neat.

It's very brisk & nice--I like the champagne & mint notes--but it doesn't last very long on me! I like it so much though, I may just get a big bottle & carry it around & bathe in it every few hours.

Amber, amber, amber! And I love amber. Good stuff on me. I got imps of this & Black Dahlia in the same pack; couldn't decide which I liked better so I put a dab on one on one arm & the other on the other to road test em. After a while, both smelled great, but when I put my wrists together & sniffed both at the same time--wow. So I often wear them layered. BD has a hint of amber too, but the florals help balance out the resin on me.

Haunted goes very amber on me, almost single note, so if you want to go that route you might try that. Me, I'm taking my one frimp of Casanova to a certain party this summer & attempting to enable a certain very hawt guy i know of but haven't yet had the pleasure of meeting. (insert evil laugh here)

Wow, Sistinas could have written straight from my brain. I can't say much else! I got an imp of Bliss as one of my first frimps & really disliked it...so I was already cruising the swap forum looking for anybody who might want the 5ml of 13 I'd already ordered. I find I don't like foody smells on me at all. And when my 13 arrived today, I opened it & smelled nothing but chocolate & went 'oh no' But I screwed my courage up & dabbed a bit on...and a few minutes later the spices started coming out & the chocolate fading...then hints of herb & smoke...and it all blended so beautifully, I had to go dab more on before I went out to dinner. I'm so happy! This was my first full bottle order, let alone of something I hadn't even smelled, & I LIKE IT.

I HAD to get some of this, just for the name. lol. I got skeered while waiting for my lab order though, when several people said things to me like 'if you like boozy sweets you'll like it'. Well, I don't like either...but Hellcat doesn't really do either on me. I get more of the spicy floral than anything else! A hint of something more like butterscotch too. It's very nice, really. One of the scents I'l have to be in a certain mood to wear, but definitely a keeper. (whew...I'd have otherwise.)

My experience was very similar to yours astarinel. In the imp I got the plum & floral, and since florals & fruits often don't work well on me I was skeptical. But I trtied it on, and after just a few minutes the notes really began to blend nicely. I almost wore it today, but it smells sort of warm summer evening to me, and it's cool and rainy this morning. LOL. I'll be wearing it a lot though.

I put an imp of this in my very first lab order, mostly because of the name. But after trying it I find (strangely for me, lol) that I agree with a lot of what other people have said! Yes, it is reminiscent of some commercial fragrances. Not necessarily a bad thing, either. Yes, it's light, and green and cool. And yes, it lasts like a mutha! I like it a lot.

I too am sooo glad BPAL doesn't stick scents in boxes by 'gender'. I'm as girly as can be but my fave notes are things like sandalwood, amber, patchouli etc. It still kills me that a scent with a name like Faustus, which sounds like it should be so guy, is one of my absofreakinlute faves. *g* That said, I have imps of Ogun (frimp) and Namaste (bought before I read reviews & such) which I consider very male, and very nice, stashed in my 'dont wear but do something with' box. Now, to find the right male to put em on...hehe. ETA cause I got a frimp of Casanova in my last lab order...smelled it & immediately thought of a guy I know of but have not had the pleasure of actually meeting, who I find extremely hawt...& 2 days later a friend asked if I wanted to come with her to a backstage party with this guy. You better bet I'm taking that frimp to him & enabling my butt off. Except if he puts any on, & it smells like I think it might, I may just do unspeakable things to him in public.

In the imp: I make notes on each scent & I wrote 'interesting--need to try on'. lol On the arm: hints of sandalwood & amber, patchouli, cinnamon. Drydown: much more cinnamon, but blends so well with the others, particularly the amber. I love Anne Bonny too Brianne, but oddly this doesn't smell a thing like it on me! It's supposed to be an evil scent, but it's very warm and almost comforting to me. I FLOVE it. (makes note to buy big bottle...holds up catchers mitt for anyone who doesn't want theirs)

In vial: only smelled ok, hard to pick out notes for me. On arm: sandalwood, sandalwood, sandalwood!! And I looove sandalwood. I bought this one both for the name and for the description, despite the fact that I am fast learning I can't always go by the ingredients to tell if a scent will work on me. As it dried I caught hints of the patchouli & incense, but the sandalwood stayed on top. I wore it out to dinner with my dad tonight, and guys kept coming up to me...4 cute young guy waiters hovered like bees in a garden. *g* Needless to say, I love this stuff & must buy a 5ml asap.

Got this as a frimp...delicious! Like the previous reviewer, I can smell how the sweet and resinous notes balance each other. I hope this lasts and lasts on my skin.

This made me LOL! I love PP, and just got Wicked as a frimp...it is wonderful. Doesn't really remind me of PP scent-note wise, but it does have a similar richness. (I may have to hide it though...my mom smelled it & loved it too. Oh heck, I'll get her some for her birthday or something. hehe)

I see several other people called this a 'surprise scent'--same for me! I got it as part of an imp 'enabler' pack *g* and never expected to like it as much as I do! I'm looking forward to wearing it a lot this summer. Very light, crisp, refreshing. If it's ocean it's more like sea spray on me, very brisk & cool feeling.

I didn't note the nicotiana listed till after I'd ordered this one, so I was scared it would wind up stinking like tobacco...not to fear, though. I can't smell that at all, except maybe as a slight smokiness that takes the edge off the florals. Despite the musk & incense notes, it's not heavy at all, and has stayed on me (sniffs arm & consults clock) 3 or 4 hours, as of right now. I really like it.

Frankincense, hyssop, hibiscus, river reeds, orris root, palm frond, and olibanum. Couldn't have said it any better. LOVE IT.

MMMM. I bought a decant of this for a friend whose SN includes 'phoenix'...but after sniffing it, I dabbed a bit on...and the next morning a bit more...then I bought myself a 5ml. This is one awesome scent. The wine and myrrh notes keep the grape & violet from being overpowering on me. What a great blend. Between this and Faustus (the first one I tried that I went bonkers for) I begin to understand the fervor for BPAL.

My first BPAL, and what a surprise...should've read the reviews. LOL. I didn't expect to like it, but I do. The spicy definitely hit my nose first, but as it dries the violet comes out. It really is a little powdery, but in a very nice way, with a hint of spice to balance it. As I type I keep sniffing the inside of my wrist. *g* I'll dab on a little in the morning & then off to work & see how it wears all day.
