    Different smells/colors, same perfume

I think this thread might be a good place to bring this up, but feel free to move if I'm wrong. Is there a difference between the Springtime in Arkham scents and the Picnic in Arkham scents? Specifically I'm wondering about Miskatonic - since there's only one review thread I was assuming they're the same, but it seems like I see people talking about the scents differently (i.e. I usually see caramel mentioned in regards to the old MU but not the new one) - of course, that could just be a coincidence!

Bottle: Lemon... but sweet lemon, almost like sweet tea, actually. Except the tea isn't all that strong, it's like putting your nose into a glass of sweet tea right where the lemon is floating at the top. Wet: Very, very musky. But a little sweet. Not getting any tea at all, though. Dry: I think my skin just doesn't hold tea scents unless they're REALLY strong, which makes me sad. But still, whatever this turns into, it smells really good (just not like tea). It's strange in that after a couple of hours I can't pick out any of the specific notes at all, it's just a general nice smell. It almost seems floral to me, which I can only assume is the musk sweetened by vanilla. It's not what I expected, but it's such a pleasant scent that I'm planning to get more.

Bottle: Oooh, thin mints! Smells like a very sweet mint. That's it, though, just mint. Wet: Spearmint. Maybe something else just barely coming through... it's still a nice light sweet mint, though. Dry: ...darn. It's turned into dental floss. I don't get any tea from this at all now, just a sharp fluoride mint. I had high hopes for this one, but now I can't smell it without thinking of the dentist. o.O

    Creepy

In the bottle: Butterscotch! Ooooooh. I seriously couldn't stop sniffing the bottle. After the immediate whiff I also got the tang of the apple in there, and a little bit of booziness; it reminded me of something, but I couldn't figure out what... Wet: Okay, NOW I know what it reminds me of. I used to make this drink called a flaming apple that was a mixture of apple pucker and butterscotch schnapps with a thin layer of 151 on top, set on fire. This smells EXACTLY like that... which would make sense since it's pretty much the exact same ingredients. Dry: I think I'm in love. The apple doesn't disappear on me, just gets a little sourer, like a green apple. The apple smell reminds me a lot of the really old apple fragrance from B&BW in the pink bottle. Mixed with the sweetness of the butterscotch, this is really nice. Not something I'd wear all the time since it just makes me smell like candy, but sometimes you WANT to smell like candy!

    Snow-Flakes

In the bottle: Mint! Ooooh and it's wintergreen, I LOVE. Wet: Still very, very mint, but also with a hint of floral. My first thought is jasmine+rose, but I've no idea if that's right. I can't really pick out different flowers; it could be any of them. The combination is nice, though. Dry: Not much difference... mint, but perhaps a bit sharper. I've never tried Snow White, but maybe the similarity is from the floral background. It still smells a lot like rose to me. Later: Huh? It's gone! Darn, I really really like this one but apparently it doesn't last long on me...

In the bottle: Coffee! Woah, coffee. Actually, it makes me think of standing in a coffee shop sniffing straight coffee beans. I've seen a lot of people describe it as stale coffee, but I actually LIKE whatever this smell is. Wet: Still coffee, but something floral is fighting its way through, and not necessarily working. Rose, maybe? It reminds me of Ouiji. Dry: The coffee's all gone. Now it's just floral, but kind of a dusty floral... and the rose completely drowns out the jasmine on me. Later: It lasts, at least! Definitely fades into rose+jasmine. I miss the coffee, though.

    Ouija

Lush parlor rooms draped in thick velvets and gilded in gold, unearthly whispering in the distance, fleeting flashes of wraithlike figures rushing just outside your vision, the chill of a phantom presence brushing by your cheek, the inscrutable knowledge that disembodied eyes are peering at you from darkened corners… this is the essence of Victorian-era spiritualism: rosewood, oak and teak notes with wispy blue lilac, tea rose, dried white rose and ethereal osmanthus. Bottle: Wood... old things? A hint of something smoky, almost like incense. It smells like an antique shop to me. Wet: Old lady perfume. Went from antique shop to my grandmother's attic (not really a good thing). I can't really pick out the individual notes, but the woodsy scent got a lot stronger. Dry: Now THAT'S much better. There's definitely something very floral under there. Definitely getting the rose. I think what it evokes the most is dried roses, lying on an antique table. I actually like that a lot. Later: Wait long enough and this turns into pure rose. :-\ It's a better rose on me than some others, though, a little deeper, dustier.

    Wolf Moon 2007

In the bottle: Pine. Pine, pine, pine, with maybe a hint of juniper. Wet: Yup, still pine. It's like inhaling a Christmas tree. But not the one in your house, the one still outside in the woods. A very musky, sharp pine. Dry: Still pine, but... mmmm, a hint of something sweet. Must be the berry. Now that's actually a really nice combination. Later: Can't stop sniffing! Once the sweetness kicks in, this is REALLY good After spilling it on myself the first time I try to wear it: Well, I liked the way I smelled all day (and boy could I smell it). And no one wrinkled their nose and went "eww pine sol" so I guess that's a good sign. Still, I wouldn't recommend bathing in the stuff, LOL. I'm actually more concerned now that it's a little too masculine for me, but I like it a lot anyway.

    Death Adder

In the bottle: The first whiff is really sweet, but then something MUCH stronger takes over. My guess is... vetiver. Very herby, almost pine, but with more of a bite. And then that's pretty much ALL I smell, except for a slight background of spice which I assume is the snake oil. Wet: A little sweeter again... maybe that's the coconut? Yay! Dry: Nope, coconut's gone. The initial bite of the vetiver is much softer, though. Still, I think it's far too masculine for my tastes. I think I'd like it a lot on a boy though. Later: Boy does this one linger! I couldn't get rid of it even when I tried!

    Catherine

In the bottle: The rosemary jumped out immediately at me, quickly followed by... lemon? Makes me think of lemon grass. Wet: carpet cleaner. But not... BAD carpet cleaner, just a very strong, astringent smell at first whiff. But then it settles... is that the rose? I think it is! Dry: It smells very... grown-up. It reminds me of the perfumes I smelled on adults when I was a kid, which is probably why I get that feeling. I think it's mostly the rose now. I'm not getting the orange at all now, which is a bit of a disappointment. Later: Oh yeah, it's like PURE rose on me. A bit much for my tastes, too um... perfumey?
