Mimicake

I am so glad this one works for me. All the notes are amongst my favorite herbs, and I love the fresh-cut green of this fragrance. It has that fresh out of the shower and into the garden scent. I love this one!

This is the first one that I've tried that my skin totally rejected, as it is actually burning and turning into a reddish welp on the application site. I normally don't have such sensitive skin and I worry about which component could be causing this. I actually like the smell of it however, and I could almost brave the burn. The florals seem sugary amongst the gritty notes of alcohol. I did not expect it to be this sweet and smokey. I would have loved for this to have become a club scent for me.

I think I use the word delicious too much in my reviews. Ah well, here we are again...this scent is absolutely declicious. It reminds me more of Christmas than Halloween. It smells like the mulled cider we used to leave out for Santa Claus as a child. Apples and a hint of spice swirled in cranberries. Punkie Night is a nummy desert. I am so glad I managed to get a bottle of this.

A stunning fragrance. Green and sharp, with fresh crisp cut herbs and bitter berries. I imagine I'd like to wear this when it is cold outside. I love it, the man thinks it is a little too sharp and strong but what do they know sometimes? I don't think I will buy a bottle, but I will cherish my imp.

I really liked this one, it smelled of dryer sheets a bit but that is the appeal to me. Sweet fresh cotton t-shirt with a breeze of floral. It is simple and quite appealing.

This scent on my skin was very earthy, the apricot was very very faint. I imagine if an apricot sat in the mud for awhile, this is the odor it would produce. It reminds me a little of college and smoking "special" tobacco in flavored papers. While I am enjoying the odd tones of it, I cannot imagine wearing it as a perfume.

One more to add to my favorites list! I wasn't sure what to expect from this little kitty after reading the description. I am still curious as to exactly what notes it contains too. It has a full rose scent on me, with a tad of spice. Is that patchouli I smell too? Most roses tend to go "elderly" on me, but this one stays brilliant and fresh. The perfect scent for when you would like to be risque and naughty. It literally makes me purr.

The Mad Tea Party scents are becoming my favored collection. At first sniff, this one was a little confusing, the mint came across but the other scents seemed to meld into a fruity blend that I could have sworn was cherry. It was probably the green apple though? On my skin, it all softened to a not-to-sweet but still delicious scent. If I licked my wrist I'd expect it to taste like a mojito/apple martini. This will be a fun summer party scent. Mock Turtle, I heart you!

I am so sad right now I could cry! I thought that Jack would be my favorite by the description. It -does- smell exactly as I thought it should in the imp, but on my skin it turned into a sickly buttered popcorn smell. I will keep it and try it in my scent locket because it is a dreamy fall scent, it just did not work with my chemistry.

This scent is light and soft, the pine giving the floral a crispness that I really like. I was afraid that the rose would make it a little sour on my skin but it didn't. I've found a yummy summer scent! Thanks BPAL!

This one is so beautiful, I think it will be one of my favorites for a long long time. In the imp, the peach is the dominant note. It reminds me a little bit of the wine we used to sneak and drink back in high school. I think it was called Boone's Farm. Wet, peachy peach peach! I can detect a mild hint of the amber and a little bit of floral. Dry- The peach settles into the amber nicely, a lingering dribble of sweet fruit. This one has excellent staying power, and has been co-worker approved as well. The boyfriend considers this one sexy and has given his stamp of approval as well. I love you BPAL for creating a scent that reminds me of happier days of summer.

This one was very pleasant to me. In the imp, it first smelled a little bit "old lady" to me, and the white musk turned me off a tad. On my skin though, it mellowed into a quite beautiful floral. I love the honeysuckle, and was hoping the lemon notes would come out more. Overall, a very pleasing and sweet floral. I will keep the imp for the occasional moments when I need flowery/pretty, but I probably will not order a big bottle.

In the imp- More sweet than I thought it would be, I don't detect much of the cherry but the clove seems prominent, which I like. Wet- MMMM. There is a hint of something I don't recognize, I assume it is the dragon's blood? It gives a more sharp edge to the cherries and clove. Dry- Oh I love this one, and I did not think I would. The blending of the notes on my skin is heavenly. I could detect the myrrh a little more, but the bite of cherry is what kept my nose attached to my wrists. This is a wonderful scent and I think I want a big bottle for days when I'm feeling a little dark.

This was sweet and delicious in the imp, but on my skin it went weeeeee jasmine! I think I just should give up the idea that anything with jasmine is going to work on my skin. I did use it in my diffuser though, and my house smells wonderfully sweet. A true delight!

I did not expect to like this one, as roses tend to go a little "old lady" on me. The earth note is what made me shy away from wanting to try it, but it also made me curious about it. In the imp- Dried roses and little bit of potting mix. Wet- MMMM! The earthy scent is not as strong, and the roses smell a little more lively. Dry- I really love this one. The earth scent binds the rose, and I detect something a little...I am not sure what word fits. Not spice, not musk...but just dry? Words fail me.

Curiouser and curiouser. Milk and honey with rose, carnation and bergamot. Oh I love this one. Opening the bottle, it is a creamy honey and spice dream. The fragrance reminds me of tea with my Great-Grandmother. It actually smells divine on me too, which makes me more interested in the honey notes that I previously had dismissed in other scents. This scent is also co-worker approved, though they think it smells like baby powder.

THE SNOW MAIDEN I love this one, it surprised me from beginning to end. In the imp- A candy pine, softened with green floral. Even with the softening however, it is still a little sharp. Wet- MMMMM. Green florals, berries come out a bit. Soft and sweet, but not too sweet. Dry- I can't keep my nose out of it! I don't know which note in this is making me so delicious for me, or smell so good on my skin because I'm not singularly familiar with any notes it contains. I love it. This one is a keeper, and I would buy a gallon of it. It breaks my heart that it is no longer mad! Luckily there is someone out there that can enable me as I crave more. This one is also boyfriend approved and encouraged.

In the imp- Sweet and delicious. There is something jasmine-like in the scent, I think it must be the muguet? Wet-The rose is a little more prominent on my skin when wet, and the lily a little harder to discern. Geranium is one of my favorite scents, but I don't pick that up either. Dry-Ah, sweet and soft. The rose fades some, allowing whispers of geranium to peep through. I don't get the autumn leaves smell at all. As it fades it smells more like downy fabric softener or floral soap. I do like it and will use my imp until it is gone, though I am not sure I would buy a big bottle.

In the imp- Smells strongly of lemon, and is the only note I can detect. Oily lemon, rather like lemon pledge dusting spray. (usually the oils don't actually smell oily to me) Wet- Powerful lemon, the jasmine is amped on my skin and it makes for a sickly combination. Dry-The mix of jasmine and lemon in this one is a little nauseating. I blame the jasmine. My boyfriend kept insisting it smelled like urine but I didn't get that. I really wanted to like this scent, the description and other notes listed made it sound so sweet and delicate. I blame my chemistry. This one is going to the swaps. Sorry Phantasm, I really wanted to love you.

In the imp- sweet jasmine with a hint of lime. Deliciously green. Wet- The jasmine seems amplified on my skin, drowning out any other notes. Dry- After it sets for a moment, I can detect teasing motes of the rose and lotus. It is beginning to smell like floral soap, with the jasmine still prominent. Sadly, the lime has all but faded out and I'm left with strong jasmine. I do like this scent, but I liked it better in the imp where I could detect the lime. My skin absorbs and amplifies jasmine, I had forgotten about that. As much as I enjoy this scent it is probably not one I'd want a big bottle of. I think I'll keep this one for when my scent locket arrives.

In the imp- the rosemary is there, but not as sharp as I'd thought it would be. The mint seems to soften it somehow, and I get the faint hint of lavender. Wet- The rose comes out, soft and sweet and I can now detect the lemon amongst the rosemary. Delicious! Dry- Very soft and sweet, it has developed into a minty rose on my skin, I can't discern the rosemary from the other notes. I keep smelling my wrist, looking for the grape that others talk about, I just don't seem to pick it up. I love this. This is my first purchase and first choice, and I'm so glad that it is working for me. This is going on my big bottle purchase list.

Hopefully my own address update got there in time. Me wants my goodies!

I love satsuma from the Body Shop too. It is the only one that my boyfriend can actively recognize and that he loves too. My supply is dwindling however which makes me go like this .
