In the imp: Amber, baby powder, and something bitter. I wish I knew what was in this one. On, wet: Mm, it's getting sweeter and warmer, and the baby powder is fading. There's something in it that smells like it should make the back of my eyes sting. Drying: Wow, this smells really good. Honey? I think I'm smelling honey. Warm and feminine, and definitely sexy. A little bit fruity too, but like a warm fruit - like coconut rum. Something spicy, too, and also earthy (almost like frsh cut grass). It keeps changing smells. Dry: I like this way more than I initially thought I would. Yay for awesome frimps! Final Verdict: I love it. I'll definitely use my imp, and I may have to order a bottle.

In the imp: Kind of a golden smell - amber, I think. Something bitter too. It reminds me of incense. On, wet: Amber, incense, and powder. Why does everything smell like powder on me??? Drying: Something tangy and woodsy, and still kind of incense-y. The powder is fading, yay! Dry: Warm but still light, I'm liking this much better now. I'm also smelling what must be the black musk, which I don't know how I feel about, but it's not overpowering. Final Verdict: It sort of smells like a very nice smelling sweaty person? The bf said it smells too much like baby powder. Swap pile, I guess.

In the imp: Musk? Not rum. Also - ALMONDS. Agh. On, wet: Some musk and a bit of powder underneath something strong and kind of boozy, but it doesn't smell like rum to me. Drying: Spicy, with a little bit of a powdery smell underneath. It smells like a warm spiced cider spiked with rum you'd drink at a holiday party. But the powdery part of it is throwing me off. Dry: Mulling spices for warm cider. Yum. Final verdict: When I first sniffed it when I got the imp (about a week ago), I hated the smell of it - almonds just don't appeal to me. But trying it now, it makes me feel warm and cozy and like it's Halloween. I'll definitely use my imp up, and I want to see how it smells on the bf - and who cares if it's a guys scent? I'll wear it anyway, lol. ETA: And a few minutes later the powder is back. Now I smell like a nice autumn potpurri. I'll still wear it in the fall, but I'll be smelling like potpurri.

In the imp: A mixture of light florals with some sandalwood. I can definitely smell the primrose, too. I have a feeling this will smell powdery on me. On, wet: The florals are somewhere here, but I smell some type of bright herb, and definitely thet rose-y powdery smell. Drying: It doesn't smell minty, per se, but there is still some type of herb that's bright and sharp almost the way mint is. It's definitely heading towards a powder/rose soap smell on me. Still nice, if not what I was expecting. Dry: Rose soap. Nice rose soap, but still soap. The herbal smell is almost gone, and there's no more sandalwood. Verdict: I wish the sandalwood had stuck around. It's powdery, but still nice - I like powder, even this is not what I was hoping for with Libertine. I'm pretty sure it's the rose doing that. I'll use my imp, but I won't buy more. I'd give it a 2/5.

In the imp: Lemony and clean, but a light, fresh lemon, very white and gentle - no Pine-Sol here. A little bit of powder, and something warmer underneath, a little bit incensey, maybe floral. On, wet: Mmm, more florals are coming out now. Still clean, almost like a very nice soap (similar to those little Crabtree & Evelyn ones I love). Something spicey too, which is keeping it warm and from being too clean. Drying: Getting more powdery, but I don't mind - I love smelling like powder, and this one isn't too clean or too young, it still has elements of florals and a little bit of spice. Dry: A warm, clean, floral powder - it reminds me so much of Crabtree & Evelyn soap that I had to mention it again. There's still enough of the spice to keep it from simply being baby powder. Verdict: I know some people don't like that powdery smell, but I love it (and this is a much nicer powder smell than I've gotten from other blends that have gone powdery on me). Soft and floral, this is a really pretty scent that is perfect for spring. I'll definitely use my imp. I'd give it a 3/5.

In the imp: Cherry cough syrup and star anise. On, wet: Cherry, less like cough syrup, and very strong star anise - like black licorice. Drying: Fainter and a little bit less icky, but still like licorice, now with the barest hint of powder of some kind Dry: Mostly star anise, a tiny bit of mint or something similar - those hard, black licorice candies. Definitely no cherry that I can smell. Verdict: I know that I hate star anise, but I wanted it to be more cherry. Definitely not what I was looking for at all. Oh well. Off to the swaps.

Skin musk and honey, blood-red rose, orange blossom, white peach, red apple, frankincense and myrrh. In the imp: A green-yellow smell, almost like leaves? Something familiar that I can't place. On, wet: That same smell I can't place - it's something from my backyard at home. Lilac? Still green-yellow, like that bright green of spring. The barest hint of an apple is hiding in there somewhere. Drying: Starting to warm up and round out a little bit, getting sweeter. Very soft and feminine. Dry: None of the fruityness that I had hoped for, but still nice. Very faint, though - I have to stick my nose right against my arm to smell it. Still has that green quality to it, almost grassy. Verdict: None of the honey, apple, orange blossom, or peach that I had hoped for. Pretty, but not what I wanted - hopefully it will become more fruity with age. I'll use my imp, and if it ages well I may order another. I'd give it a 2.5/5.

Very clean and white, a soft, pretty floral for people who don't want anything too overpowering. Smells a little bit (barely) like soap, but in a very good way (like Crabtree and Evelyn, almost). Good for the summer or anytime you don't want a heavy scent. Hard to smell unless you stick your nose right up in it, but I'll still use my imp. I'd give it a 3/5.

In the imp: Definitely smells like some kind of incense, a little bit powdery. A bit smokey, but not in an actual smells-like-smoke way, if that makes any sense. Is it the myrrh? On, wet: Still incensy, and heavy and warm. It also smells "smokier" now. There's something floral to it too, but like dark flowers. Drying: More floral now, and starting to get powdery. Like a darker perfume for older women - that's how I'm feeling about it. Dry: Mostly powder, with a little bit of smoke and some dark flowers. Verdict: A generous frimp, it's a nice smell, but not what I was expecting and not the right kind of smell for me. I'd give it a 1.5/5 or so.

In the imp: Clean and cool, a little bit bitter. On, wet: Ack! A little bit like lemon pine-sol, but cooler and cleaner? Hmm. Drying: Less pine-sol-y, but still citrusy in the same way as pine-sol. It's starting to smell more like a very pale tea, though. Dry: As it fades, it gets a bit like a white floral, but not enough to keep it from smelling like very cold, clean lemon pine-sol. And it fades fast. Verdict: As much as I love lemon, this is just the wrong lemon (and it's not even supposed to have lemon in it!). Too cool for me. To the swap pile it goes. I'd give it a 1.5/5.

In the imp: ALMONDS, OH GOD. Also something else, but not the butter. Seriously almondy. A little bit boozy, almost. On, wet: Ack, still almonds, almonds, almonds. Like some kind of almondy lotion, but more almond and less lotion. I smell no butter, musk, or myrrh. Drying: Slightly less almond, a little bit of the musk (maybe?) is showing up now. Oh, it's getting nicer by the second, but none of the smokiness other people are getting. Dry: Nice, but mostly like a dried baby powder with some type of almond-esque scent to it. It would be pretty if I were, um, older? Verdict: Not at all what I was hoping for - I wanted something warm and buttery and golden. A definite for the swap pile. I'd give it a 2/5.

Eris is definitely a very nice scent, light and fruity without being too sweet or overpowering. To me it smells (in the bottle and on me) like some light, floral incense I used to have that I can't remember, and my boyfriend said it smelled like watermellon, but the fresh kind, not that fake sickly kind. Overall it's perfect for a warm, sunny day. I'll definitely use the whole imp, if I don't buy a bottle. I'd give it a 4/5. ETA: It smells like the strawberry incense that I had when I was younger, but softer. Yum.

In the imp: Ack! Faux leather. I'm hoping it will smooth out into that buttery real leather smell that I love. Wet: Still faux leather. The bf got it perfectly: I smell like a couch. A faux leather couch that has never been tested or used, just sitting in the store. Also extremely strong, like strong. Dry: No good - it's just staying faux-leathery, if less strong and little bit like baby powder. Final verdict: Definitely not what I wanted. Off to the swap pile!

Oh! My first review! Here goes nothing... I had to find Fire Pig after reading about it, and lucked out when someone PMed me after I posted in the wanted thread...and boy, am I glad I did! In the bottle: Mmm, juicy and delicious. I can definitely pick out the tangerine - yay! But it also smells really warm somehow. Wet: Oh, tangerine, and a little bit of fruity candy or something that I can't pick out...it's very juicy and smells kind of bright pink. I still can't get over how excited I am about the tangerines in this. I love tangerines! Definitely a little bit of the bamboo, too. (My boyfriend thinks it's too strong, but nice) Drying: Wet, it smelled like something I knew but couldn't pick out, and I think it might by the lychee? I'm not sure. But it still smells deelish! (Made the bf sniff it again, and he's liking it better now) Dry: Oh man, I love this scent - it's like a warm orangey-pink glow, really fruity and warm and delicious. Final verdict: I am so, so, so glad I managed to get a bottle of this stuff. I'll definitely be on the lookout for more sometime soon, for fear of running out, lol.

Campfires, bonfires, fireplaces, burning wood and leaves...

Definitely add me to the list of people wanting that perfect woods and smokey bonfire smell. I love that smell...mmmm. -
I ordered imps of Lolita and Cheshire Cat already, but I'll definitely look into the others. Thanks! The search engine didn't turn up any results for satsuma, but I didn't even think to try the other two, lol. Thanks for the help! Isn't the Body Shop Satsuma just amazing? I've put Moxie on my list of scents to read about and possibly order an imp of. Thanks!

Hey everyone. One of my favorite scents is satsumas - the smell is just so juicy and happy and bright (especially the Body Shop shower gel...yum!). I've been searching the boards to see if some scents have satsuma-ish scents in them, and this is the list I've come up with quickly: Bakeneko Tweedledee (which is going in my next Imp order) Akuma Aizen-Myoo While these four sound awesome, I was just wondering if any of you experienced bpalers could point me towards some scents that i might enjoy - I love any and all citrus, but I'm mainly looking for that satsuma-y smell. Thanks in advance!
