This is floral, but with a slightly band-aid background scent(?). The opium comes out more as this scent dries, giving it an exotic air, similar to sandalwood, but I can't get over the band-aidness the opium is causing.

All I get is mild eucalyptus before this scent completely disappears on me. I definitely want to skin test this again, as it sounds lovely. Hopefully the second round will go better!
-
Vetivert strikes again, this smells similar to Hurricane on me, and I can't wash it off fast enough!
-
I wish I loved pepper and tobacco as much as they seem to love me. The sandalwood and other notes lighten it somewhat, but it still isn't enough for me to love this.

This smells very fresh and green in a nontraditional way, I can definitely distinguish the "green" of the juniper, cypress and eucalyptus. There's something almost lemon-y holding this scent down. It's very nice and fresh in a lemon-lime sort of way, this almost smells like Thai food. Nice, but not for me. EDIT: On a second test, this is a sugary lemon, almost like lemonade, but held down by the juniper and pine (it feels like breathing in mountain air!), the pine also lends an almost smoky after scent. After dry down, the lemon is absent and its all smoky, forest-y goodness. Very interesting and gorgeous, but not for me.

Very pretty! The wine is a sweet one, especially when mixed with the honey. I'm going to have to try this again, alone! EDIT: On second test, this is all winey and sharp when wet, with a slight honey note that gives it an almost chocolate? scent. As it dries, it becomes grape and honey, sweet and pretty, then the laurel comes out, a little piney. It's kind of a smoky, sweet, grape. Interesting, but not for me.

This smells like dark chocolate covered cherries. Sadly cocoa is a note that I'm not particularly fond of, so I'll pass.

This is gorgeous on me, possibly one of the best BPAL I've ever tried! It starts off a slightly fruity, very warm, rich vanilla (but yet so much more!) To me, this smells like a luxurious life on a tropical paradise. Mmmmmmmm! Definitely want a bottle someday! EDIT: 5 years later, still loving this, still no bottle! This will have to change very soon. Super creamy, sweet but not foodie vanilla with a hint of sandalwood in the background. Similar to Dorian, but lacking the musk/amber note making it sweeter overall.

I'm beginning to realize how strongly I amp the lab's tobacco note, as this is yet another tobacco scent in which I get nothing but smokiness. Into the swap box it goes!

This smells delicious on me! Complete musky lavender goodness! The lavender is sweet, almost sugary, but is tempered by the musk to create a beautiful blend. It's a pretty scent, and a little sophisticated sexy. Not a bottle scent, as I don't see myself wearing this often, but definitely ready to keep the imp! I see this as a very seductive first date scent or for days when I want to spice it up. EDIT: On second test, has a very pretty lavender-musk drydown for me, but when ultimately try the pennyroyal--which smells slightly dank, like wet metal, comes to the foreground.

On me, the pepper comes out very strongly, it almost tickles my nose. Equally strong is the syrupy sweetness of the amber/honeysuckle. Strangely, as it dries down, Hermia retains both these scents but also begins smelling exactly like an after dinner mint?! I'm assuming this must be the passion flower, as its the only note I'm unfamiliar with in this mix, and it has a slightly floral undertone. I get no fruitiness from this. I can see how this would work on someone with better/different chemistry, and it is a gorgeous scent, but its not for me.

This starts off green and almost pine-y, then morphs into salt water, I get little smokiness. It is a very fresh scent however, I almost feel like I just took a splash in the ocean and can practically feel the lush garden beckoning me from around the corner. A beautiful, interesting scent, but not something I'd ordinarily wear, as it's pretty unconventional.

The perfect scent to wear to your next bondage ball, dungeon adventure or sojourn to your favorite pleasure dome. Smoky rum and black tobacco with a whisper of steamy leather with a splash of crystalline chardonnay, layered over a sensual, sweet, and deceptively magnetic base of tonka. This is a slightly smoky, dark vanilla layered with something sweet (tonka?). I get little leather, tobacco, or rum, thankfully. This is a sexy, naughty but sweet scent. I love it! EDIT: Revisiting this years later and its still mostly the same. It's all tonka in a super rich, sweet vanilla-esque scent with just a hint of complexity. A little too straightforward for me nowadays, but definitely still something I would wear.

The lab's cocoa note never seems to work quite right on me (or I just dislike the scent of cocoa...), and Velvet is no exception. Wet, it's a warm, spiced chocolate. Dry, the chocolate tones down somewhat under the sandalwood, but is still the dominant note, I can barely catch a whiff of it behind all the chocolate.

A little cocoa and all "leather armor." Ugh, this scent definitely does NOT work on me, I feel like vomiting everytime sniff my wrist.
-
Orange, and a little spicy and herby when wet, more Orange and floral when dry, but still very sweet. Pretty, but not for me. EDIT: A second skin test leaves me with the same impression, the orange is along the same lines as Xiuhtecuhtli and Vixen, but more pronounced here, and there is a musky background that I would ordinarily love, but just kindof seems off with the creamy sweetness of the orange, its just a little too much for me. Too sweet, too rich!

This started off a little sticky-sweet due to the myrrh, but soon developed a musky, smoky note? I desperately want to like this scent, because I love Mina, but I think I might have to pass on this. EDIT: On second test, wet this was a white floral, then gained a slightly smokey note that added sophistication and complexity to the scent. I really like it, but I'm not sure if I'll wear it...maybe to business interviews (though the smoke might through some people off!) The smoke fades and blends with the floral into a spicy, incense/musk scent, giving it a hauntingly beautiful feel.

This started off straight floral, but after a while developed a more complex, "dry" note as the sandalwood came out. A beautiful floral, I definitely don't regret getting a bottle. The sandalwood balances the floral qualities of the scent perfectly to create a slightly floral, but not overly omg!perfume scent that's natural and beautiful. I just wish this weren't so faint!

Slightly sweet, light floral. Very delicate and pretty. Much like Rosalind, this scent makes me feel young and pretty, I would love wearing this on a spring day! After drydown, however, turns more soapy on me. Alas, I think I'll pass on this.
-
This smells predominately of sugar and sweetness, with an underlying floral carnation. I can definitely imagine a little girl's room smelling of this, but it's so sweet it's almost plastic on me, so I think I'll pass.
-
I think it might be the ozone that turns on me here, but something in Szepasszony turns into a wet, sticky scent that really doesn't agree with me. I can distinguish an aquatic background, but the sticky-ness is getting to me! edit: After a while the stickyness comes to pass, and the ozone comes out. It definitely smells cool and biting, like a storm is raging or about to come. Sadly, just a little too cool for me.

Incredibly crisp, green apple. Slightly sweet, but with a cool background. Something in keeps the apple very cold and icy. It's a beautiful scent, and smells amazing!
-
Wow, this is a scent I never would have tried based on its notes. What I get is completely different from the image the description conjures in my mind. On me, Anubis is sweet, predominately honey, with an underlying sliiiiiiiightly herbal and minty scent. I like it a lot, but don't see myself wearing it often. I'll definitely keep the imp though!
-
I get a white floral, which must be the magnolias, with an underlying dirt that is more fresh than dirty. Although its not something I immediately loved, I find myself sniffing my wrist over and over again. The extra spin on what would otherwise be a plain floral is really interesting! This is a surprisingly "warm" scent, and very attractive. EDIT: This dries down to a white floral, slightly sticky, not in a bad way, but like younger flowers that still have sap in their stems. Moss and dirt give it a slightly smoky air as well.

This truly does smell "shattered," but in a beautiful, refreshing way. I can definitely notice all of the notes in the description. The scent is light, refreshing, almost minty (but not in a gum type of way). Very pretty! I'm definitely keeping the imp, but I'm not too sure about a bottle, its too sharp for me to really like.
