This starts off as sugary rum and sassafras. It dries down to a more herbal, clove scent.

A slightly fizzy, foamy beer scent for real, with a lovely, light floral background. Pretty cool, but not for me.

A notorious voodoo priest, who eventually rose to become one of the funereal Guédés, alongside Baron Cimitère and Baron La Croix. He is a Guardian of the Crossroads: the pathways between our world and the realm of the spirits. As a Master of the Graveyard, he ensures that burial rites are performed with skill, and he helps ferry souls to the dark realm. In his honor, we have created this scent: our spin on traditional Bay Rum. Not my favorite rum scent from the lab. This one smells like booze and alcohol in a bad, dirty way that reminds me of too many late Saturday nights and Sunday hangovers.

Name is spot-on. This dries down to powdery, herbal florals. Something reminiscent of old ladies, yes, but also abandoned cottages in the midst of dark woods.
-
This is all my death notes, yet I couldn't resist trying. Entirely patchouli and vetiver.

Curiouser and curiouser. Milk and honey with rose, carnation and bergamot. First and foremost is the cream from the milk--thinner and a little more sour than a true cream note, but this could also be because the second most prominent note is the bergamnt, lending the scent a slightly sour, soapy herbal note, spiced up by carnation in the background. Initially, this is really good on me--creamy and spiced florals, but the bergamot comes out far too strong in the dry down.

This is the BPAL almond I have been searching for! Not sugary sweet like Snow White and Dana O'Shee or overwhelmingly creamy like in Queen of Sheba. This is perfect almond syrup, sweetened by heliotrope and a dash of cinnamon. A grown-up, sophisticated but warm and inviting vanilla, spiced almond.

Something in this smells like licorice.
-
Straight mahogany wood, like a furniture store.
-
Wow--this is an amazing surprise hit on me. Wine generally does not like me and leather is hit-or-miss. This is full-bodied rose, sweetened by the grapes in the wine, with just a hint of leather/musk grounding the scent. Super, super sexy. Wow!

Sweet pear and rose. Bright and sparkly and young and pretty. Dries down to a straight floral rose.
-
I get something sweet, warm and floral. Pretty but nothing exciting. A deep sniff brights up over ripe peach and an aquatic base.
-
Gently carved wood warm with a maternal love that reaches beyond death: rose-infused amber and soft golden sandalwood. Warm amber and rose, touched by sandalwood. Soft, golden and princess-y.
-
This is very pretty--clean, fresh floral. I primarily get gardenia, which makes it smell like clean laundry/detergent. There is a slightly wet/aquatic tone to this, but it is primarily floral and linens to my nose. Fresh, clean and pretty.

Creamy, sweet incense. Strangely likable and less floral than expected, still not something I would wear on the average day.
-
This starts off a lovely floral musk on me, but dries down to a sharp, almost sawdust-esque sandalwood, with just a hint of vanilla in the background.
-
Wow, this smells like a tropical vacation--not the luxury resort kind, but a private island, in the rainforest kind. I get citrus and salty sea breaze, with a hint of green herbs in the background. Not something I would wear but a great room scent.
-
I get rose with a green, herbal dimension from the bergamot and a touch of sandalwood. I wouldn't call this a rose blend--the rose in here is not the star note by far. This is green, floral, slightly fruity sandalwood. Interesting and exquisite but not for me.
-
Something soft and dry--almost like the dust from cookies. It smells almost hazelnut-y to me. Hazelnut dirt?
-
No, something in this smells like licorice or bandaids on me.
-
This is incredibly faint on me, but it's a lovely skin musk-y amber, very warm without going to red. A touch of spice, but more floral/herbal/green spices. Very pretty!
-
This is so aptly named. I get almost a single lily note, just tinged by frankincense in the background. Regal and unique. Unfortunately, too much lily for me.
-
I was hoping this would work because patchouli is listed last, but unfortunately there is a giant cloud of patchouli hanging over all the other notes in this scent. I get PATCHOULI and then underneath that one of the best peach GC blends from the Lab and lovely golden amber. C'est la vie!

Whoever said wild rose earlier was spot on. This scent is a beautiful, more subtle rose floral, tempered against the coolness of the olibaum. It has a slight incense note, but to me it's wild roses mingled with a cool, soft olibaum base. I don't get honey on this--strange because my skin usually amps BPAL's honey note in an awful powder-y way, so yay!

I get all three notes in equal parts: floral rose, tart apple, and lemon. Strangely, although I love all three of these and they blend beautifully here, I just can't see myself reaching for this one often. I think the lemon might be a bit overwhelming and "cleaner" like.
