Gah! White flowers and jasmine *hiss* Jasmine smells like plastic to me and most white flowers smell like diapers or scented maxi pads. I'm having bad luck with florals lately. This one is definilty not me.

First sniff I smell a fruity amber, second sniff...plasticy flowers. Gah! On my skin the amber and fruit fade and the flowers and vetiver come storming through. While I like vetiver, I dislike it when it's mixed with flowers.

This smells like diapers or scented maxipads >< The floral scent smells like it's trying to cover up something bad. It's a hospital smell, plasticy and artificial. I just really don't like florals at all.

This one is very sweet, and sharp. There's something in here that reminds me of that honey mead note in Hellcat...I really don't like that note at all :/ On my skin this morphs into vetiver and vanilla (the the honey mead note in the backround). Overall....I really like most of the notes in the blend, I just don't think they work well together.

Anything with cedar in it I automaticy love. The cedar immediaty pushes it's way to the front of the line and overpowers all of the other notes. It's slighty sweet, slightly spicy, but mostly cedar. The dry down is ALL cedar on me, and I love it. There are other cedar scents I like better than this one, but Kathmandu is definilty up there on my favorites list ^^

Ohh the narcissus is strong in this one, it almost gives it a sort of plasticy smell. A lot of floral smell like plastic to me for whatever reason. On my skin this ended up turning to a plasticy myrrh. It's soft, powdery, incensy with the teeniest bit of floral. Unfortunatly, the narcissus ruins this blend for me. If it weren't plasticy I think I might've actually liked this one. :/

Coconut soap! This smells a lot like dish soap, but not at all in an unplesant way. It's fresh, clean and only slightly floral. The coconut isn't overpowering, but is well-balanced by the other notes. THis one is really pretty, but unfortunatly not for me.

This one is so strong and foul I wasn't able to bring myself to put it on my skin So I'll have to review it based on what I smell out of the vial. This is strong and old smelling. It reminds me of a hospital. It's very astringent smelling, medicinal, sharp and bitter. There isn't too much I can say about this. I really don't like it at all

Mmmm. This is all citrus on me, a very sweet, yummy citrus with a splash of pineapple. I'm not getting any amber from this blend, its pretty much all fruit on me. I think this may smell a little bit too much like lemon Pledge or dish soap. The dry down is a lot less "cleaner like" It's definilty a fresh, summery blend, not so sure I'd like to wear too much though.

The first thing I thought of when I opened this was the Haunted Mansion ride as DisneyWorld....not becasue of the name, but because of the way this smells! It's incredible! There's this part, during the ride (in the beginning) where you're ushered into a room....a voice will speak telling you about the paintings on the wall. After a while, the paintings begin to stretch, and at the end lightning strikes, the power goes out and the doors open to the part when you're seated on the ride itself. This smells EXACTLY like that little room. I've been to Disney World every single year since I was about 4 years old and the smell never changes. I can't believe I have it now, in front of me, bottled and even called Incantation Haha Anyway, I've never had a scent bring back so many memories before. This one is gorgeous just based on that alone. As far as the notes are concerned. This is citrusy and fresh mixed with vetiver. It's definilty a clean scent (without smelling like a dryer sheet). Final verdict, I love this one and am off to order a 5ml right away!!

The same thing happens to me, except I like it lol My favorite resiny blend is Urd, but that one may turn sweet on you (it defintly sweetens up on me, but not in a foody way). Masquerade is another nice resiny blend (without being, or turning sweet on my skin). To me, it's the more masculine version of Urd. I have an imp of Urd I could send you if you'd like to try it out Just PM me. Cathedral is another gorgeous resiny blend you might want to try. Good luck! I don't have too many reccomendations for you as I like to stick with sweet smelling scents myself. But Masquerade and Cathedral are both winners!

This wasn't what I was expecting at all. I was immediatly worried when I saw that it was bright red. Dragons Bood *hiss*. If there's one note I hate more than anything, it's dragons blood >< On my skin this is all Dragons Blood and some sort of flower. As it dries, the flowers turn powdery and the dragons blood smell stays entact. I had to wash this one off. Not me at all.

This is a very beautiful, aquatic, floral scent. This, to me, smells almost exactly like Mr. Bubble bubble bath. The flowers and aquatic note are really well balanced in this one, underneath the two is the smallest hint of spice. This is a fresh, clean, girly scent. I can definilty appreciate this one, however it's not for me. My skin hates most florals blends. __________ 6/26/2010 edit: Just received a frip from The Lab. I'm going to revisit this scent... Ha! Yep, I still think it smells like Mister Bubble. The gardenia note in this goes to bathroom spray on me but evertyhing else is really pretty. I can appreciate this one but it's not something I would wear.

I have 3 imps here of Baghdad. 2 are fresh from the lab from 2 separate, recent orders. The other one is something I received in a swap (this one also looks fresh..the label is in pristine condition) The colors of the oils are exactly the same (light, golden yellow), however the two imps from the lab smell COMPLETLEY different than the one I received from a swap. When I read through the reviews od Baghdad, it seems as though the one I got from the swap is the correct one...but I'm still unsure. The two from the lab have a strong, cinnamon/nutmeg spice scent to it, and only a hint of musk. The one I received from a swap smells more musky, rosey and well...exactly like the descrition. Could this be a case of mislabeled imps? Or is the imp I received from the swap just an aged version? I really love the labs, fresh version, but I'm afraid it may be something else. This one to me smells like Christmas spices while the other one smells like musky rose.

This one smells like white flowers on me >< Gardenias and Lilies. There's something else in here I can't quite pinpoint, maybe moss or something along those lines? The Hermit is a very pretty, girly type of a scent. It's delicate, soft and floral....and definilty not me.

Baghdad is confusing to me. I have 3 imps of it here. I received 2 frips with 2 (recent) separate orders. I lso have an additional one from a swap. The two the lab sent me smell of cinnamon, or are heavy on the nutmeg. I can't figure out which one. There definilty seems to be cinnamon in the two the lab sent to me. The one I received from a swap smells completley different...maybe more the way it's being described in this thread. It's a heavy musk with a hint on rose. I'm not sure which is the correct Baghdad. I really love the nutmeg/cinnamon one, the one I received from a swap isn't good at all. Are these two the same, but one is alightly aged? Or is this a case of mislabled imps? Not sure. I just know that the two the lab sent me smell like Christmas spices with a hint of musk. I'm not gettiing ANY rose at all. Maybe I'll order another imp from the lab in a couple months and see what that batch smells like.

Ohhh, very lovly. This one is cinnamon and berries in the bottle. Block Buster is a chritmastime scent. There's this store near my house called The Christmas Tree Shop (for seasonal home goods), this smells exatly like the inside of that store. On my skin it almost had a potpourri quality to it. Mmm Overall I love this one. I don't mind smelling like a craft store every now and then. I need a big bottle of this

Dana O'Shee is an extremly light, creamy almond scent and nothing else. This one is hard for me to describe as it virtually dissapears on my skin (as a few other BPAL scents have). I can smell this in the bottle, and on my skin wet for about 5 seconds and then POOF! It's gone. There is not dry down scent for me. This one would be pretty if it actually stayed

Wow. I was expecting this one to be more on the cocoa side, but it's more of a buttery, chocolate frosting scent instead. Delicious! Gluttony makes me hungry. Haha. This is THE ultimate foody scent. It's all baked goods, and yummy desserts squished down into a teeny bottle. I'm in love with this one. Everyone is raving about Midway, but I think Gluttony is THE BPAL foody scent.

Sea spray with an undercurrent of leather, Bay Rum, and salty, dry woods. Wow! This one relaly does smell like fresh, salty air! It's amazing how Beth can do that! ^^ There's definilty a bit of lavender in here, they weren't lying when they said it's a masculine scent. I'm not getting any run when I put this on my skin. This is mostly fresh, salty air, lavender and something maybe a bit woody. I really love this one, but it's much too masculine for me. _______ ETA (11/18/14) This starts out with bay rum, salty air and a bit of leather. It dries into a cedar-like woods (with maybe a bit of patchouli). This reminds me a lot of Old Spice with more wood. In 2014, the lavender never shows up for me.

Cassanova is almost pure lavender and bergamont out of the bottle. The two completly overpowr and drown any of the other notes mentioned. This is an older gentlemans cologne, very strong and mature smelling. It's definilty a classic scent. Something I can imagine well dressed Englishman wearing. On my skin this turns to pure mens cologne. The lavender and bergamont are still very strong and prominent. Again, all of the other notes are completly masked by the two. Overall, this one is very beautiful, just not me

Bewitched is all sage and berries out of the bottle. It's very herbal, incensy, and juicy fruity without being too sweet. The dry down is a bit more perfumy, but still very lovely. Overall I really love this one, but I'm still unsure if I'd wear it all the time.

Whew! I didn't think I was going to like this, but suprise, suprise, Amsterdam is gorgeous! This is all tulips and fresh cut grasss on me. Amsterdam is spring in a bottle. This one reminds me of Easter with my family. This one pretty much stays exatly the same in bottle, wet on skin and as it dries down. I can see myself wearing this April- June. Mmm..I can't stop niffing myself. I think my little sister will actually love this one. Looks like we'll both be owning 5mls of Amsterdam pretty soon ^^

Milk Moon smells almost exactly like White Rabbit to me (but without the ginger). This is Milky, fresh, and lemony...again almost exactly like White Rabbit. Overall, I like this one, but I don't love it. I much prefer White Rabbit over Milk Moon.

Wow, I was expecting this one to be a bit more floral than it actually is. This is such a gorgeous blend! Snow White has a sweet, creamy, delicate scent to it. It's amazing, this actually smells, chilly and cold with a warm, breath of flowers (without being floral...if that makes sense) and something sugary and sweet. This is exactly as I'd imagine SNow White to smell. Final verdict..this one sould be a regular scent and not an LE. I'm in love with this and really hope on getting my hands on a larger bottle sometime in the future. Please bring Snow White back!
