Dear Witch, I think I somehow missed transferring some of the thread questions to here, but I did answer them. I'm sure you probably don't really need to hear more from me, anyway, as I have a problem with wordiness. But let me know, and I will track the lost questions down. Is there anything you would like from the Blooddrop Halloween update? Sure! Apples & Bones, Dracula's Daughter Crypt, Kissa yojoki, Hare, Newt, Vixen, Chai Tea, Elderflower & Spiced Pear, maybe Library, maybe Long Black Veil, Parlor Tricks, Pomegranate & Darkened Honey, and Summer's Remains all sound very nice. Also, Balck Currant & Tea Leaves, but I have no bath. Do you prefer to receive whole coffee beans or ground? I don't really do coffee, but if it's something flavored or for cooking, sure; either kind is fine. Are you interested in anything from the Haus of Gloi yule update on November 3rd? Which products and which scents? Sure! Snow Wolf, Three Treasures, Rosy Cheeked, Waning Sun, and Brown Sugar & Pear lip balm? I like Christmas Tree smells. If I made fairy, dragon or butterfly wing earrings, would you wear them? If so, which would you prefer? I would probably be tempted to wear them, which would involve stabbing them through my unpierced lobes. That would not be good, and then it would be sad. I would probably end up modding them into hair ornaments, though. So it would work out! How do you feel about nail polish? If you like it, are there any brands or colors in which you are interested? I like nailpolish. Zoya and Sinful Colors are my go-to brands, I guess. I'd like another OPI 'Let's Do Lunch', or colors in that vein. It was subtle and made my skin look healthy, which is awesome. What about makeup? What brands do you prefer and which products would you most enjoy receiving? I like mineral loose pigment shadows, and Korean BB creams, and lip stain... I like makeup. I try to go with more natural things, but am easily lured into buying awesome, highly pigmented stuff. Some favorite brands are Skinfood, Fyrinnae, Tarte lip thingies, Josie Maran stain markers... I've recently tried out some Meow Cosmetics shadows (the LE Rainforest ones from the summer, because this Forum is full of evil[ly awesome] enablers), and would be interested in more of those. I also love makeup brushes, Eco Tools and the black one from ELF are great. I like makeup, and would probably love to try most things I haven't yet-- cruelty-free and more natural are the best. I'm on a quest for a good concealer. I spent Birchbox points to get one from Juice Beauty, so we shall see. You can see the veins next to my eyes. I'm scary looking. Plus side, don't actually need a Halloween costume, because I already resemble the undead. Your feelings on Adagio teas: If you've never had anything from them, would you be open to trying them? If you HAVE had them and like them, name some favorites blends. I like teas, and would love things like Falling Leaves or Autumn Garden Spice. Do you like video games? Are there any you want to play? Do you have a large library? Yes; many. I have a small library. My thread answer was a lot more wordy, but it basically boils down to laziness on my part. Big in Japan is one of my favorite product scents right now. I love her scrubs. They are unbelievably fabulous. Do you like/have space to garden? If so, what do you grow? I grow plants; whatever I can. I'm coming to the conclusion that plants like okra don't want to grow here, because it is very dry. Herbs tend to be awesome out here, and flowers... it's weird. We have an orchard. I also tend to let the nightshade grow(it's only white nightshade, I would not risk belladonna around my furbabies[which is sad,I want one of those victorian horror/ Rappaccini's Garden type greenhouses of doom, which is so not going to happen, like, ever] ditto for growing foxglove or hellebores, despite how gorgeous they are. I did let some datura grow this year, and somehow got the one plant that smelled of skank, instead of the gorgeous floral growing in the desert-- don't know what happened there. But, oh well). I love plants, and plant things are always appreciated. Gift cards/vouchers - yay or nay? If you like them - which stores would you like one for? Sure! Here is a wishlist, onto which I have put just about every OTK, thigh high, and tight that looked interesting, in all the color variations that I might possible want (hardcore!). On the other hand, I do have a bunch of socks, so there is no need to go out of your way to snag sockdreams, unless it was part of your mighty plan. Is there anything in the Miskatonic Valley Philharmonic update that you're interested in? I might like testers of a few, but most have patchouli, so I'm kind of iffy on them. So, aside from my usual standbys of Sandstone, Aqua Mirabilis, and all the moisturizing massagy bars, I might love to try: Buche de Noel, Noriko soap(darn that SLS, though), Celebrate body lotion, Sikkim Girls body lotion, Santa Baby lip balm, Sandy Santa bar, and might even risk the SLS to try Sugar Plum Fairy scrub or Mr. Punch soap. If you really want to get me earrings, every once in a blue moon, I will wear a pair of vintage/antique dangly screwback earrings-- the dangly kind that are kind of delicate(to offset my kind of manly jaw). I prefer curry spice to chipotle-type spice(because you can taste the fruitiness of the pepper, but then, it's savory, and that just weirds my tastebuds out sometimes). When ordering spicy food at restaurants, I usually get medium. Historically, though, when getting food made by my Korean and Indian friends cooking regional, I kind of had to request if they could make it like they would if I were a tiny baby. Some peopel have a rather amazing spice tolerance that my tongue does not handle well. (spoilering mine, for length and reference ) Russalka, my immediate thought-- on reading the young-minded, twin personalities description-- was... two scents, actually: Delirium and Delight. Delirium : Non compos mentis, indeed! A contrary, conflicted scent, bubbling with merry madness. Contains apple, rose, and lemon. Delight: In ancient India it was believed that a specific combination of flower petals, when strewn across a couple's bed, would amplify desire and sexual pleasure. This blend is a blend of the same floral essences, refined into a gloriously sinful perfume blend. Frangipani, with rose, tuberose, and jasmine. Both are lovely on their own; youthful, energetic, and feminine-- without seeming generic. I think they might also play nicely off of each other if you layered them. Hi, WoodSage! What sprang to mind for you was Mokey Fraggle. She's introverted, intellectual, and a day-dreamer, and her scent capture a very introspective, slightly magical feeling that might suit you quite well. Mokey: Mokey is an artist, poet and philosopher. She seems to be in touch with some sort of higher Fraggle consciousness. Mokey is fascinated by the beauty and intricacy of the world around her, and is always seeking new ways to share this feeling with others. A gentle, contemplative fragrance: lilac blossoms, violet sugar, orris root, stephanotis, and osmanthus. For that stubborn, powerful streak, perhaps you might like something more like Wanda(Her scent is a deep red merlot with a faint hint of leather, sexual musk and body heat over crushed roses, violets and myrtle) or Hellcat (A soft, sensual, luxuriant blend with a wicked bite: hazelnut, buttercream, honey mead, rum and sweet almond ). Just got my decant. Imp: Musky, Herbal; a little reminiscent of snake oil with citrus. It’s dark and slinky. Can’t stop sniffing my wrist. Dry: creamy, musky catmint; ooey gooey and delicious. Verdict: I want a bottle, and can see wearing this a lot during the winter months.

As far as board games, during family holidays, we get together and play what I like to call Lazy Trivial Pursuit. Although, by the end no one really cares anymore, and everyone is just fielding really weird answers. It's more entertaining than it sounds. That's really the only board game played.

They will likely be even longer. It will be a surprise! Lush: is awesome. Sandstone soap is probably my currently available favorite, but there are lots of other things I love there. Even SLS inclusive things from there would get love here(much to my skin's unhappiness). Fruitcake: I like homemade fruitcake. We used to make huge batches when I was little. There was very little cake, and mostly nuts and fruits, with a bit of port(?). I'd love to try anyone's homemade fruitcake. Recipes: I love them. I don't always follow them, but that does not make them any less awesome. Baked goods: I would have them as a food staple, if I didn't have to deal with the health fallout. Clearly, what happened here is that I smashed my nose into the banister. That's why it's bloody. It also explains why the only thing I can smell is that polished, fragile wood smell. It smells a bit like fine sandalwood. It must have happened when I was following that elusive, spicy musk scent I got from the bottle. I know it went up the stairs, then... BAM!! Sandalwood. I say something pushed me. I'm pretty sure it's sitting over there, in those dark shadows, snickering and smelling fabulous. Verdict: Really good lasting power, *definitely* apply with a light hand. Can't wait to see how this ages. Recommended if you like refined, slightly warm, woodsy scents. ETA: Just layered a drop of Infernal Lover over this, and I smell fabulous. Take that, Slenderman!

What about Sugar Skull?--Vibrant with the joy and sweetness of life in death! A blend of five sugars, lightly dusted with candied fruits. I know it doesn't mention incense, but it has that vibe, and it is definitely sweet. Or maybe Devil's Night--This is the scent of autumn night, fires in the distance, with a touch of boozy swoon, playful sugar and thuggish musk. From the GC, you might like Sybaris--Bright violet with sweet clove, Mediterranean incense notes and tonka bean.

I've tried it and I will second this. Inganok Jewelers smells like marble slabs, in a vault, underground--at least on me. I think 'stone' in a description can range from evocative of an element to downright duplicating what that element smells like. One of the literary vampires gave the exact impression of cold stone, but didn't really smell like it. I don't remember which one. Aww, calivianya, I was waffling on that one! now you've made it sound more awesome!

Vanilla 323, if it's sticky sweet plum you're looking for, my vote would be for Bensiabel. It could just be me, but on the skin, it's almost syrupy, and has a pretty heady throw(and good wear time).

Hi! I ramble, so I will put it here and not take up tons of thread space. Ethically sourced creature things? I'm averse to fur, and dead bugs would make me sad. Someone just made a very valid point that their pets might eat it, so no thank you on bones as well. feathers and plants are perfectly fine, though. Especially plants. Who do I identify with? Probably, the Little Mermaid and Rapunzel(haven't seen Tangled, though)? But, partly because of the trauma of sacrificing your hair. I look up to most of the heroines in my favorite stories, I guess, wanting to have characteristics like them, but not necessarily identifying with them as such. I do prefer happy endings. But a dark twist on anything(so long as the baddie still gets theirs) is perfectly acceptable. And a dark aesthetic is lovely. Rat's Magic was one of my very favorite books as a small child. The only time I was disappointed by an animal to human ending was in Disney's Beauty and the Beast, when Beast turned into Michael Bolton. As a kid, in the theatre, I remember there being an audible audience reaction of "AUGH!?!" Which was awesome. I prefer humanoid fairytales, but I do still love animal stories(hedgehogs in a forest, etc.). Off the top of my head, I like the story where the monkey bets the elephant that he is stronger, and then bets the rhino the same, and then has them tug of war--because they are out of sight of each other. And, when they are both exhausted, he steals their bananas. Either it's an Aesop's Fable, or my imagination is even better than I give it credit for. I'm currently watching both Grimm and Once Upon a Time, and liking them. Haven't seen Lost Girl, but I kind of want to now. As far as folklore goes, I like vampire, ghosts, and any kind of magical plant. I'm not sure but I think I didn't include Princess Kaguya, or the Chinese version of Cinderella in my list of fairy tales. Of course, I probably didn't include a lot of them, but yeah. Like Sinbad and the valley of the shiny things(voyage #2, according to wiki), and also just for humor, there is a story of three brothers and a table that sets itself, a super strong donkey, and a club that smacks people. And the one with the three dogs, and the man who goes underwater and has to choose his true love from amongst her six identical sisters, and the one wit hteh super glue swan.... You know, I just like fairy tales, so you should pick something *you* will enjoy, and that will be awesome. And I should stop now. Also, vaguely related, *HUGE* King's Quest fan. Because, if it got erased, I would have to use my brain again, and lately, that hasn't been going too well for me. I love licorice, from actual licorice root. I like everything from the sweet to the salty, to the straight up ground licorice root(or, you know, whole licorice root that has been dried-- but a little of that goes a loooong way. Sonnet d'Automne Vampire Bride October(though it will likely not smell like I am thinking) the three evening in Hades scents Changeling!(because of the name, and not because of the notes, because vanilla is often not my friend) Garden of Death La Mort Muse of the Night and ALL THE APPLES!!! but especially the golden one (and a quick BTW "the song of Wandering Aengus" is a lovely poem, and just makes me want to buy all the apples more. What colors/brands? I like polish. I'm not too happy with polish remover. I also am very lucky if my fingernail polish lasts three days without some form of fubar(which is usually incurred within two hours of application). I occasionally like to paint my toes, too. That usually goes better-- either that, or my eyeballs are far enough away that I don't notice the fubar. I like color, especially when it has miniscule sparkly bits that look like faery dust and are super shiny. I just saw a magazine add in a waiting room for crackle polish, and that could be potentially awesome. I tested a nail of BPTP's Bordello and it is also lovely-- and smells vaguely of roses. Of course, I could just be *special*. Favorite polish of the past: I think it was from Naturistics, and was basically clear with infinitesimal silver sparklies. Cones are cool, too. i've never tried resin, or a charcoal burner thing. I think Shoyeido is my favorite, but I haven't really tried a huge variety. The last you-must-wear-a-floor-length-gown event I can call off the top of my head was Prom-- and that doesn't count, since it was a last minute, but-your-friends-want-you-to-go thing, and the dress was literally bought a day before. It started falling apart(cheap prom dresses are not meant to hold in giant mammaries), and prom was a fest of boredom and uncooked food--for which we paid $60 a piece. I feel that lip balm is fabulous. I prefer the natural kind, without the petroleum products. My favorite brands that I have tried are Burt's Bees and Eos. Peppermint Burt's Bees is my favorite, and I haven't tried all of the Eos, so I'm not sure which one is my favorite of those. The only flavors you'd want to avoid I really hope they don't make lip balm of(tomato, etc). That would be odd. No savory lip balms(if they exist), thank you. I can use more lip balm. If you are crafty, what's your personal art style? I'm not talking just about what art you like to look at, but what kind of art do you like creating? Do you have a "process" while you're creating beauty? Ecclectic, eccentric, and creative? I draw in an anime/manga aesthetic(shoujo style, heavy on chibi/SD characters[eta, because Roogna had a good point, but how does one describe the varying comic styles?]) most of the time, and when I am drawing in front of the kids I sub, I try to pare things down to simple lines that they can possibly imitate with not that much difficulty. I like to paint watercolor, and the look I go for is kind of dreamy and blended. Doodling is done whimsically, with lots of plants, swirls, patterns and stars. , you can really tell this is not an artist speaking. Are there any Arcana Weenies that you MUST HAVE? Nothing that I *must* have. At least, I don't think... Dancing in the Boneyard, Haint, and Ruby Cow sound nice, though. So what say you? IS an "unexpected" visit/in-person witching OK? I don't know. I've been looking forward to trying this scent for a while. It just sounded so interesting. Imp: citrus, green things, marzipan Wet: creamy, delicious citrus spritzer Dry: citrus perfume; a light floral with just a hint of powderiness. This is very nice. It's fun, and girly/feminine. It will probably be even better once the weather really heats up. Light throw, fairly long staying power on me(5+ hours). It reminds me a bit of Sea of Glass. If you like that, this is definitely worth a try.

Imp: red musk, spices, and the unmistakable necrotic burning rubber smell of patchouli. Wet:flowery red musk, cinnamon, and patchouli backing it. Dry: when the patchouli finally dies down, it's a nice, spiced red musk. But I don't enjoy waiting for that drydown. Conclusion I love "Carmilla", but patchouli hates me. If patchouli is your friend, this blend could be that throbbing, sultry scent you've been longing for.

I'm unsure whether I have the original or the Resurrected version, as my bottle was a a wonderful gift. Bottle: cinnamon and clove. Wet: sweet cinnamon-clove; kind of like an herbal tea. Throw is also pretty strong. Dry: delicious chai latte. It's just sweet, creamy, and amazing. I absolutely adore all stages of this scent, and am very thankful to have some of my own. It also lasts a good while on(5+ hours). If you like cinnamon, cloves, or chai, this would likely be a scent for you.
