Pomegranate cider, what it says on the tin. It starts off dominated by pomegranate, which is very bright and juicy in this scent. The cider half quickly comes out and gets stronger with time, but the pomegranate is never lost. Fruity and fresh while still having that cider spice.

Lemon soda with blackberry and blackcurrant. A very bright and fresh, carbonated lemon scent. There's just enough of the blackberry and blackcurrant to notice, but this is definitely a lemon pop/champaign scent. Only negative is it didn't have a great wear time on me. Overall, would recommend for carbonated/pop/champaign lovers.

Bit of a morpher on me. Starts off and stays very minty for a while. And it's a sweet mint, with citrus underneath. I mostly get the mandarin, but I can tell there's other fruits in the mix. Over time, the mint gives way to the citrus more and more, but the sweetness of the mint (and the mandarin I suspect) remains. It reminds me more of a slushy, in terms of being a more cold sweetness, without being icy. Throughout the wear, on me, it remains more of a mint/cold scent, than a citrus scent.

Nutty, foodie hazelnut. Hazelnut is the strongest note in the scent. I can't pick out the coconut, but I think it's adding to the nuttiness of the scent and I almost get a butter quality that mixes with the sugar and cocoa powder to produce a baked goods edge to the scent. Overall, I'd describe this as a warm, very nutty, slightly gourmand hazelnut scent. I'm imagining roasting hazelnuts in preparation for putting into some baked goods. Pleasant, but not a winner for me. I was definitely hoping for more coconut.

A lighter, airy, ice scent with citrus and a dash of florals. In comparison to some of the other snows, this is more icy. In comparison to the original Whitechapel, the ice tone mellows it out and it sits pretty close to the skin on me. It also brings down the floral of Whitechapel, making it overall more of an icy citrus scent. The florals remain present enough to notice though. As a fan of the original Whitechapel, I do like this scent, though it didn't wow me like I was hoping. It's a little too mellow to be a favorite for me.

Blackcurrant baked goods during snowfall. On me, it's the usual Lab snow note: cold, atmospheric and I would describe it as 'fluffy.' Paired with blackcurrant pastries. The snow note makes the blackcurrant smell more juicy and fresh. Any rose is blending in the snow note, but I don't get much rose from the regular Knave of Hearts. I enjoy it, but not my favorite, I hoped the rose would come out more in this snow variant.

Like with other Zombi variants, the rose note in this one is toned down to nonexistent on me. It's much more of a first and snow scent. I would describe the snow note as a more atmospheric scent, the word 'fluffy' comes to mind. At least here, it's also on the pine side, almost minty. Really liking it, glad I got a bottle. I just would not describe it as a rose scent on me, much more of a dirt and snow smell.

This is almost a black apple single note on me. It reminds me of the apple note used in the Bobbing for Apples collection and the black apple note used in other Lab scents. My skin eats this right up and unfortunately, I barely get any pomegranate, let alone the pink pepper. I can't pick out the pomegranate on it's own, but it's there, making the scent more of a juicy, almost slightly wine like apple.

Magnolia and orris root. The white musk is there, in the background, but I cannot smell pine, juniper, or bergamot on me. A light, floral scent, without being airy. And the orris root gives it almost a buttery quality to it. I'm reminded of big, blooming magnolia blossoms. I'd describe this as a duo of magnolia and orris root, with other notes in the indiscernible background.

Pomegranate on the evergreen forest floor. Patchouli is the strongest on me. The moss and fir needle take it to a pine forest, almost dirt scent. The pomegranate is playing a supporting role, just noticeable in the background, giving the scent a sweet, fruity roundness to it. I would say must love patchouli for this scent.

Pomegranate, Freesia, White Tea, and White Amber
samanare replied to Seajewel's topic in Halloweenie
A dry, plant leaning floral scent with pomegranate. I'm getting the dry note of the white tea the most, followed by the freesia mixing with the pomegranate to be a more floral than fruity musk. The white tea and the freesia makes this scent overall plant like, not vegetal, but not the heady floral one might expect. Overall, I'd consider this a white tea scent more than anything else.- 6 replies

A fruity/citrusy floral scent. On the initial application, I could pick out the apple, but it quickly melds with the lemon peel to give an overall all citrus leaning fruit smell. Still very fresh and bright. There a strong floral-mint component of the scent, that I assume is coming from the cassia mixing with the apple and lemon peel. Overall, a fresh and bright, citrus-floral scent, but I was expecting more apple.

Champagne with cake. Definitely a champagne scent, though the foodie, sugary cake note holds its own. I don't get pumpkin. And as this scent wears on, I get more sugary, particularly sweet champagne. Overall, I'm reminded of celebratory champagne with a side of cake pops.

Floral, fruity wood scent. I smell what I assume is the pearwood the most, wood with a distinct pear edge to it, the most. I can just pick out the coconut husk, which is very woodsy here and adds to the pearwood. I don't get carnation specifically, but there is noticeable floral component to this scent. I don't get frankincense at all, maybe it's hiding behind the carnation. Overall, it melds together in a floral, pear-y, wood scent. I'm reminded of a really nice wood polish, or what wood polish wish it smelled like.

Lilac and mint, rounded out with amber and ti leaf. On me, this is more of a lilac scent. The mint is definitely there, but more toned down than in other scents with mint I've come across. The mint is more on the herbal/plant side than a sweet or icy mint, which adds to the floral nature of the scent. I can't pick out the ti leaf and amber directly, but I can tell the ti leaf is there, adding to the mint. Overall, a lilac scent with mint that doesn't read as icy.

Praline, chocolate, and hazelnut in that order. This is definitely a foodie scent. And I get all the scent notes listed, but the praline dominates on me. It smells more like some type of praline based sponge cake with chocolate frosting and hazelnut filling.
-
Pomegranate and rose water, it ends up being much more floral on me than foodie. Pretty much equal parts heady pomegranate and sweet rose water. Though I would not describe this as a sweet scent.

On me, this scent is pomegranate with a side of tiramisu. The pomegranate is very juicy and forward in this scent. I can smell a sweet, dense spiced cake note, closer to the skin. But this is definitely a pomegranate scent. Much fruitier than foodie, imo.
-
More of a pumpkin spice muffin or sweet pumpkin bread on me. Foodie, sweet, and very much a fall baked good. I don't get the chocolate chips though above the general sweetness of the scent.

Dead Leaves, Vanilla Bean, Pink Fig, and Brandied Dates
samanare replied to Seajewel's topic in Halloweenie
I was surprised by how bright and fruity this smells. Very much a fig and date scent and it definitely smells pink to me. I don't get vanilla, but that may just be in the background adding to the sweetness. And I don't get dead leaves. Occasionally, I'll think I smell something else in the background of the scent, but I can never pick it out. I wonder if the dead leaves note is going more fermented in this scent and adding to the overall fruity-ness.- 9 replies

I don't get the Lab's dead leaves note in this one. I also don't get much ginger. I get more fall sweet spices with something underneath that takes the scent away from being super foodie. I personally find the scent underwhelming, but I tend to like really strong ginger scents.

I do not get horchata on me. This scent more smells like dead leaves, fall spices, and orange almost, or at the very least something vaguely citrusy. While the dead leaves note makes it more unique, overall it reminds me of a number of spiced orange scents.

More on a the subtle side. I get the dead leaves note, the vanilla, though I wouldn't describe it as sheer, and something else that's sweet and sugary, but it doesn't smell like praline to me. Neither half of the scent, the dead leaves, nor the sugary vanilla is super in your face and are both evenly matched on me, in terms of intensity.

The scent starts off on the skin as a strong dead leaves note with a side of scorched foodie sweetness. Quickly mellows out to the point where it smells like toasted marshmallows with fall/pumpkin flavoring and the dead leaves note is there, but in the background.

Very buttery, sweet, coconut cake. I'm surprised, as I'm not smelling any of the spices or rum on me.
