    Snow Moon 2024

This is almost pure pale ice on me. The ice note here is a little more pale than what I associate with the Lab's usual ice note. I would not describe it as soapy, but it's in that direction. I think it's the mentioned crystalline musk. I get vague hints of the fruit notes, but neither the apple nor citrus come out particularly strong on me. Overall, more of a frostbitten scent, like apples and citrus left in the cold far too long and largely covered by delicate ice.

    Lithe and Lascivious Regret

Deep blackberries. Definitely a berry scent, and is that deep, almost wine fresh scent more than anything else. Blackberry does strongly dominate on me. There is a touch of resin here, but it deepens the berry notes, instead of taking away from their freshness. The other notes add to the blackberry and give it this deep purple quality, though I cannot pick out those notes on their own. Overall, almost a blackberry single note on me, especially deep, purple, and berry fresh.

The Desire of Thy Furious Embraces

A very green black rose scent. The only note I can really pick out on its own is the rose, and it's noticeably a black rose note, deep, spicy, and slightly dry. I think the other notes are coming together to form this very green, chlorophyll note. I'm surprised as I'm not really getting any ivy or woodsy notes from this scent. I'm much more reminded of crushed rose stems than anything else. The spice of the black rose note keeps the scent from being especially fresh, but the green component of this scent is slightly stronger than the rose. Overall, I'm reminded of a very greenery heavy black rose bouquet.

    Just Before Penetration

A sweet fig and guava duo. I agree that the fig here, is similar to that in Dead Leaves, Vanilla Bean, Pink Fig, and Brandied Dates, though obviously this scent is much sweeter. The guava and fig blend together to make a very bright and sweet fruit note. I cannot pick out the vanilla on its own, but this scent is particularly sweet, though it's fruity, not particularly foodie. Overall, this is a relative simple scent on me, an especially sweet fig and guava duo.

    Heart Beet

I don't know how much of it is the blood note vs the beet note, but definitely the ginger does not dominate the scent. The closest comparison I can make is to a more spicy, root version of pomegranate, deep red-purple and almost fruity. I do get a hint of ginger, bringing a little zing and adding to the root quality of the scent. Overall I think the beet is dominating the scent. I don't get anything that particularly reads to me as blood. More a deep, almost wine like root scent.
  6. A woodsy pine scent with a splash of berries. The pine dominates the scent on me. The raspberry leaf is noticeable and both provides a berry note to the scent as well as adding to the greenery of the pine. I can't pick out the other notes on their own. The other berry notes are dominated by the raspberry. I don't get lemon at all and I think the green tea may be adding to the pine note. Overall, the combination makes for a woodsy, resiny, almost tar like pine scent. The freshness of the berries cuts through, but this is definitely a wood scent more than anything else.

    Several Penises

A light lemon resin scent. Definitely more of a lemon frankincense scent than a straight lemon scent. And while I don't get the cream note, there is a soft sweetness to the scent. I would describe it as hazy if it weren't so light. The sandalwood also doesn't stick out on its own and is enveloped by the frankincense, making it more cozy. And lastly there's whiffs of almost rubbery smoke, which I think is the tabac. It's a pleasant overall slightly smoky, slightly fuzzy, lemon resin scent. I think I'd like this more is Vintage Wise Man Blow Mold wasn't fresh in my mind (which is more lemony and less smokey and cozy sandalwood).

    Dubious Ginseng Formula 2024

This really reminds me of dried ginger used for tea. Strong and herbal while still being bright and almost bitting. More ginger than anything else on me, even the ginseng is shallowed. A relatively simple, almost ginger one note, but fresh and full of presence.

    Implacable Beautiful Tyrant

A pale oud scent on me more than anything else. I'm a little surprised how light this is on me, given the notes. Oud is the strongest, having a pale, musky quality to it. I think I'm getting a little bit of the amber, but not the resin of the frankincense. There's a slight zing to the scent, but it sits close to the skin and reads more as a general zest than ginger specifically. Overall, a surprisingly light oud scent, with just a touch of ginger.

    Chestnut Vulva

A cozy, warm chestnut scent, with just a bit of spice. Definitely a chestnut scent. I cannot pick out the vanilla or cashmere on there own, but there is a noticeable sweetness to the scent and a warm, cozy, roundness that comes from something besides the chestnut. I can just pick out the cardamom, though it's more subtle than I would expect. The sweetness of the scent really pushes back the spice. And I cannot pick out a caramel note at all. Overall, still more of a nutty scent than foodie, cozy, and more sweet than spice.

    The Rice Field

A honey musk scent on me. Honey is the strongest note on me, outside of the frankincense, I can't really pick out the other notes. There is almost a white musk quality to the scent, I wonder if that's from the sandalwood. The resiny, slightly spicy, smoke of the frankincense is just noticeable. Not a foodie scent, but the honey is on the sweeter side. Overall, a resin, musky honey scent.

    Apple Vulva Hair Gloss

Crisp apple with a floral backdrop. The apple is the strongest note on me, it reads as more red apple to me than golden. There is a haze of pale florals in the background, but I can't pick any out in particular. I also don't get any honey notes, rather a light minty undertone to the scent. Overall, I think apple lovers will like this one, a crisp apple scent with light florals and even lighter mint.

    Winter Dildo Hair Gloss

Slightly lemony resin. The incense is the strongest note by far on me. I cannot pick out the amber on it's own and I think it's adding to the incense. The lemon peel is there, but largely smothered by the resin notes. And I can't detect the other notes. Overall, I'd describe this as a resin heavy hair gloss, with just a wedge of lemon.

    Gossip, Slang, and Cuss-Words

Soft florals among marshmallows and vanilla. The osmanthus is the strongest on me. I think the lavender is there, mellowing it out, but I cannot pick out the lavender on its own. There's a noticeable backdrop of bouncy vanilla marshmallows. From the distance the mix of floral and foodie notes almost reminds me of bubblegum. Overall, osmanthus on a bed of marshmallows, sweet and more floral than foodie., with a slight cozy roundness to it.

Dark Chocolate, Coffee Bean, and Labdanum

All three notes are present in roughly equal measure. The labdanum take both the chocolate and coffee notes to a very earthy place. So the scent ends up being far more of an almost oily resin scent than foodie. I would describe this scent as more a deep resin, with woodsy cacao and coffee bean husks.
  16. The pepper is not playing nice on me. I'm getting the three other notes, the chocolate being slightly stronger than the others, but they're all clearly there. The vanilla takes the chocolate to a more milk chocolate territory. The rose is noticeable, and a headier pink rose on me. Just unfortunately the pepper is too much. More than spicy or sharp, it has an almost powdery, biting quality. On me, it reminds me too much of a spilling the pepper shaker on bougie chocolate.

    Ruby Chocolate, Blackcurrant, and Pomegranate

An almost resiny blackcurrant and pomegranate scent. Blackcurrant is just slightly stronger than the pomegranate on me. The two combine to make a berry dominated almost fruit wine scent. The blackcurrant is more forward, while the pomegranate dominates the background of the scent, giving the scent a tart, almost resin fruit quality to it. The ruby chocolate does not register as such to me. More, it adds to the berry note, while being made a much more earthy cacao bean note by the pomegranate. Overall, a deep berry and pomegranate scent, with a resiny chocolate depth to it.

Ruby Chocolate, Marshmallow, and Rose Petals

Foodie raspberry, rose, and chocolate scent. The ruby chocolate is the strongest note, but it smells like raspberry far more than chocolate. I think the rose note is adding to the berry quality of the scent, making it more raspberry and jammy than floral. I don't get the marshmallow, but there is a sweet chocolate roundness to the scent, which is more on the sweet milk chocolate side. Overall, this reminds me more of a raspberry creme dessert with rose petals and chocolate shavings.

    White Chocolate and Taro Cream

Noticeably more taro cream on me than white chocolate. I cannot pick out the white chocolate on its own, but it adds to the sweet, creaminess of the taro, as well as giving the scent a warm and depth beyond a single note or duo. A particularly rich and warm taro foodie scent.
  20. Orange blossom with added sweetness. Orange blossom is by far, the strongest note on me. I can pick out the sugar note, but in the background. In addition, there is a sweet, warm quality to the scent, which I attribute to the white chocolate. Lastly, there's the slightest pop-iness to the scent, also in the background. The scent is too warm to be quite a sugared orange blossom scent. Overall, still a foodie scent, but more floral than anything else. I'd describe this as orange blossoms smothering a bed of warmed white chocolate, with a noticeable sprinkling of sugar, and the slightest note of carbonation in the background.

    Roses, Pearls, and Sapphires

Blue coconut! The coconut is the strongest note on me, with the blue musk not far behind. The blueberry and agave add to the blue musk, deepening it slightly and adding a sweet, slightly fruity quality to the scent. The florals are there, but just slightly, and it's more lavender than rose. Overall, a sweet, fruity blue coconut scent with just the a whiff of florals.

    Roses, Pearls, and Emeralds

Deep green rose stems. The various green notes come together to really strength the rose sap. It smells like the inside of a rose stem, very fresh and green, as if the blossom had just been ripped off. The scent is very green, fresh, and fibrous. I do get a hint of rose and pine in the background. The former also being fresh and dewy. Overall, I'm reminded of a bouquet of roses, but with the flowers all cut off.

    Roses, Pearls, and Rubies

Red labdanum. The labdanum is the by far the strongest on me. I can just pick out the rose incense, and it is more of a rosy resin than floral. I think the red amber is being absorbed into and boosting the labdanum, though overall the scent does have a noticeable red quality. I cannot pick out the rhubarb or the strawberry, but there is a slight sweetness to the scent. Overall a labdanum scent that's decidedly red, with a touch of rosy incense and sweetness to mellow it out.

    Roses, Pearls, and Amethysts

Soft florals among purple musk. The floral component of this scent is the strongest, I can't pick out any floral note in particular, they blend together to make a pale floral note. The plum surrounds the florals, giving the scent a purple oud quality and ever so slightly, a fruity note. Overall, the scent brings to mind pale purple blossoms.

    Roses, Pearls, and Onyx

A deep, jewel tone purple musk. I think the kyphi is the strongest, but I'd describe it more as resiny than smoky. I'm getting a floral note in the background, but it doesn't read as especially rosy. I think the black rose is combining with the pashmina oud to give the scent a slight floral and cashmere component to it. I was surprised by this one, given its notes. It ended up being a more resiny, purple oud scent, with a noticeable floral and cashmere quality to it.
