    The Lantern Bearers

I could have sworn this had lavender in it. I don't get the amber or lemon. I think the ivy and cerulean musk, with a touch of plum, are combining to make this wet, almost lavender smell. Slightly musky, barely floral, but definitely purple and plant like.
  2. I'm surprised how plant like, almost vegetal, this smells on me. The red amber and orange blossom combine to this very green floral combo. And while I can't pick out the pepper on its own, there's definitely something else giving the other notes a real pop. Interesting, but not for me.

Black Rose, Nutmeg, and Smoked Amber

This is mostly amber and sweet spice on me. I would describe this as an amber scent more than anything. The nutmeg reads more as a general baking spice, giving the scent a strong sweet and spicy component. I don't really get a rose note, it may be absorbed by the deep, smoky nature of the amber. Was hoping for more rose, but if you really like amber, this may be more up your alley.

    Hunter's Moon 2023

The 'feral' musk is strongest on me. I definitely get the inspiration behind the scent, though the musk is hard to describe. It's a brown, almost fur musk, but without being cozy. And it has a pine edge to it, but without being an evergreen scent. And the various sweets are there as well. The musk is the star here, while the other notes are in the background. The feral musk is not a win for me, but I was curious and this scent is certainly unique and distinct.

    Bringer of Evil

Violet citrus, more violet musk than citrus on me. I really wanted to like this one, but it's too violet/benzoin smelling on me. It's definitely a citrus scent, but more so a 'purple' scent. The grapefruit note is taken too far away from fresh citrus for my personal taste. But if the idea of a more elevated, musky, violet citrus scent interests you, this may be for you.

    Slumber Ghoul

A loam and moss scent, with sweet lavender. I don't get any milk, but the lavender note here is on the sweet and calming side, as opposed to herbal. The other notes create this scene of moss covering stone, dominated by the loam note. I definitely get the inspiration, it smells like bed time in a crypt.

    Halloween Cat

A surprising mix of amber deep chocolate and bright citrus. I can't pick out the coconut husk, I think it may be adding to the musky nature of the chocolate/amber mix. The chocolate and citrus are equally strong on me, but in a way that isn't foodie. The notes also are well blended together, the scent overall is a bit of a head scratcher for me. I don't know quite what to make of it. But if bright citrus matched with earthy, amber and chocolate is of interest to you, this may be the scent for you.

    Elizabeth’s Imps

The molasses, cinnamon, and other baking spices are here, but the amber really shines through in this scent. On me, this is not foodie at all. While the amber warms the various spices, it also dominates the scent. This is more a strong amber perfume while making spicy molasses cookies, than the molasses cookies themselves.

    Vintage Witch Blow Mold

Elevated matcha white chocolate truffle. The green tea, which is more matcha on me, and the chocolate, a very sugary, light chocolate, are the strongest on me. The amber is there, playing support in the background, taking the scent away from being particularly foodie. As the scent wears, the green tea comes out more strongly, but the other notes are not lost. Overall, a very pleasant balance of earthy matcha, sweet chocolate, and warm amber.

    Pumpkin Spice Cranberry Vodka

On me, this is flat cranberry soda with fall spices as the scent wears. I don't get any booze and this definitely does not go into mulled wine territory. The scent is sweet and light, even as it warms up a bit as it wears.

Dead Laves, Shortbread & Crystallized Ginger

Just out of the oven ginger shortbread. The shortbread is the strongest on me. I can pick out the ginger, which definitely smells like a garnish on the shortbread. Also, the DL note is there, but I can't pick it out on it's own. Instead, the DL add a more roasted and almost cozy quality to the scent. Overall, not so much a dead leaves scent on me as a freshly baked ginger shortbread cookies scent.

Dead Leaves, Chocolate & Toasted Hazelnut

Roasted hazelnut made woodsy by the dead leaves note. For me this is definitely a hazelnut scent. I can just barely pick out the chocolate note and it does become stronger with time. But this is not a foodie scent, the DL note makes sure of that. Bottom line, woodsy, toasted hazelnuts.

    Pumpkin Trash Bag

An orange, floral/vegetal scent. The orange blossom is the strongest on me, the orange and orange candy are right behind, making the scent very distinctly 'orange.' I cannot pick out the pumpkin nor leaves notes directly, but there's definitely a fibrous, plant quality to the scent. It adds to the orange blossom, taking this scent away from citrus and towards a more earthy, vegetal side of orange blossom. Overall, I'd describe this as a fall take on an orange blossom scent, with other orange notes to support.

    Pumpkin Spice Dark ‘N Stormy

Lemon fizz with a little bit of ginger. I don't get any booze nor pumpkin spice. And this doesn't remind me of ginger beer so much as a lemon soda, or carbonated water with a lot of citrus. the ginger is there though. This scent also does not have great throw on me.

    Pumpkin Spice Espresso Martini

This scent is more pumpkin spice syrup on me. I think I'm getting a little bit of espresso, but it's reading more as chocolate to me. And I'm not getting any booze. The scent also stays close to the skin for me. I'd sooner reach for Pumpkin Latte or Pumpkin Spice Latte unfortunately. In short, this reminds me more of pumpkin spice coffee flavoring than an actual drink.

    A Little Silver Scimitar

I can pick out all of those notes individually on me, but they blend really beautifully together. The cypress and fir come out the strongest for me, but just barely. The moonflower, orris, and ambergris are coming in just beyond. Overall, I'd describe this as a silvery, night time in the woods scent. Woodsy, with pale florals, surrounded by this almost aquatic orris note. Very pretty, without being too delicate.

Don’t Play Fetch with a Teenage Werewolf

Deep honey biscuits. On me, I don't get the chocolate bar, mostly the honey biscuits. But they are more biscuits with honey poured over them. I can smell the buttery, flaky, doughy bread of the biscuits, along with the honey, made more earthy and amber like by the fur note. An interesting foodie, honey and biscuits (but no chocolate), scent.

    Make A Face

Very much a lemon scent on me. The lemon peel is the most noticeable note, though I can pick out the bergamot note, which is also very yellow. It reminds of Sour Moon unfortunately, in that this scent is very weak on me and doesn't have much of a throw. I don't know what it is about me with these kinds of scents, but I strain to smell much beyond the faint lemon peel.

    Pumpkin Spice Pina Colada

This is almost a pineapple juice or pineapple cubes one note on me. There is a creaminess to the scent, I attribute to the coconut and the rest of the pina colada. But I don't get pumpkin spice at all, just a very pineapple heady pina colada.

Dead Leaves, Balsam & Green Musk

This is straight tree sap on me. There is a noticeable green quality to the scent, bringing it away from the decay of the dead leaves note.
  21. samanare

Dead Leaves, Sweetgrass & Pine Needles

Smells like a pine forest floor. The pine needles and sweetgrass come together in this grassy, more fibrous note, slightly dominating the scent. The DL note is there, but more surrounding and supporting the other two notes. Overall, I'd describe this more as a grassy scent than anything else.
  22. samanare

    Dead Leaves, Pomegranate & Agarwood

More of a dead leaves and pomegranate duo on me. The dead leaves and agarwood blend together for me. Of the number of DL scents that I've tried, this thus has the strongest DL note. The agarwood is not completely eaten by the dead leaves, giving the scent more of woodsy, almost bark like quality to it. The pomegranate is definitely there as well.

    Pumpkin Spice Hot Buttered Rum

This smells like a foodie scent on me. I don't get any rum or booze in general. It reminds me more of fall pie filling, fall spices, pumpkin, and very buttery. It's not quite pumpkin pie, IMO, but it's more in that territory than a rum drink.

    A Timid Twinkling Golden Star

Almost a tuberose one note for me as well. Strong and heady. The amber may be there for all I know, the tuberose note is strong and almost heady.

    Butterscotch and Candy Gummy Witch

On me, that burnt coffee note does not play nice with the apple gummies note. Though, the coffee not does go away, but leaving an also apple gummy one note. It ends up smelling like one just opened a bag of sour apple gummy worms. It's too sweet and artificial for my tastes.
