Yup, that's some eucalyptus! Eucalyptus and mint. Wet, that's pretty much all this is. As it dries, the violet and neroli begin to emerge enough to detect something else under the sinus-clearing front runners. When it's dry, that's when the violets come out. The violet note is lovely, and now it's a pretty floral with the mint lurking underneath. After a while, I seem to be getting a whiff of tea in there, though where that's coming from I have no idea - but it's nice. While not for me, it's definitely unique and pretty. Seriously strong throw. Too much of this one and I think I'd wind up with a headache.

Wow. This is awesome! Hot hot hot ginger blast when wet. It's loud and earthy and peppery. The strength of it backs off slowly as it dries down and the red musk pushes up. Yummy, sexy red musk. The ginger stays around, but the musk and patchouli are very much present when dry. It's very sexy in a very take-no-prisoners way. War has come into the room with a bang, and finally settled back with an air of power and an aura of strong sexuality. Definitely a scent for kicking ass. I love it. Three for three so far in the Good Omens line for me! I'm adoring this set of blends!

Yoghurt. Biting yoghurt when wet. At this stage I'm actually okay with Milk Moon. It's a tart, not-too-sweet yoghurt with the grape and pomegranate giving it a fruity lift. It IS reminiscent of a cocktail like Pina Colada. Then the dry down and it gets milkier. The tang of the yoghurt steps back and it's lactastic. This is where it loses me. My mind goes to very unsexy places when I smell this now, and it's not something I'm ever going to want to wear. I can't keep this one on, I'm afraid. Dana O'Shee's milk note was more like a very faint dash of dessert cream. This is straight-from-the-udder. Definitely not for me.

Oh, Beth has just outdone herself with Crowley and Aziraphale! I ADORE this! Where Crowley is growly-sex, Aziraphale is all sweet, gentle academic that makes me come over all :3 I get a big dose of the wibbles. Wow, YES bible accord! This is the smell of books! Dusty, wonderful books, with a gentle, soft masculine musk that really only comes out on the dry down. It's library scent perfection. It's a scent I expect I'd smell nuzzling the neck of a foxy, brainy gentleman with a liking for tweed and tea. Guh! Fetish! I am utterly smitten with this one. Thank god these are GC's, the bottle list is growing! MUST have a 5ml of this. GORGEOUS!

Adfkjdlfmsdvidlammbbbblll. I'm not sure if it's possible to hump one's own wrist, but this is making want to have a good crack at it. Whoa. The musk out of the imp and on the skin is enough to make me writhe around in smell-gasmy glee. SO good. SO sexy. Then as he dries, the cologne pops up with a masculine wave before the leather, citrus, woody notes all swirl about in a creamy warm haze. The dry down is a spectacular, perfectly blended mix of everything. No show-ponies, it's all working in harmony, and as far as guy-blends go, this is knickers-off awesome. Love. (*where's a "rutting smilie" when you need one?) Looooovvvveeee. Absolutely gonna get a bottle of this. *waves dismissively* Leave me now. I would be alone with this fellow.

Pumpkin. No butter (yay!). Delicious, warm, spicy pumpkin - a deep deep dark orange. And OH the sandalwood and orris just sing with it! Can it get any more perfect? The wood is such a gorgeous match for the pumpkin, taking away a bit of the foodiness. It's comforting and reminiscent of home-by-the-hearth but with a sexy edge. God I adore this! *Come on Pumpkin Patch '07!!*

I expected unisex with the lab notes for this one, but this one is definitely feminine on me. Wet, it's aquatic, and there's a floral note here somewhere. I can't put my finger on it. I'm guessing that the herbs are sweet - there's none of the grassy green I expect from herbal notes. The shea rises up on the dry down, giving it a skin-like edge. Slightly salty. It's summery, and reminds me of the beach. I get very little wood, it's dominated by the shea and the sweet, green floral. I go from "meh" to "maybe" with Ochosi. It's lovely, but I'm not sure if it's me. I may hang onto the imp for summer and see how I feel about it with a change of season.

Well, something in here doesn't play nicely with my skin. I'm getting sweet floral. For a second I checked the lab notes for jasmine. Nope. I'm not getting any nag champa, and the patchouli is drowned out by the odd sweet floral note. It's soapy and I'm going to have to wash it off. Dang. I had hopes for this one.

With HUGE thanks to Ahania for this. This is everything I dreamed it would be. Absolutely nothing like the let-down that the 05 version was for me. The blend is WHOA cherry when wet. Sweet, juicy cherry. But on my skin this barely lasts any time at all before the tobacco wafts up. It's absolutely pipe tobacco - like the kind the old parish priest would smoke when I was in primary school. You could smell him coming a mile off. It's a gorgeous smell, and in amoungst it is the very warm, worn leather and woods, SO evocative of a kind, fatherly figure sitting in his lair reading a good book. It's comforting, and mellow, and I just adore it. I knew there was a reason I was chasing this one, and I'm SO elated to finally have it (thank you Ahania!)! Now to hunt down a backup. I love it that much.

Wet this is strong caramel. The same sort of burnt caramel smell in Sugar Skull, only this caramel manages to fade down a bit as it dries. I definitely get the sandalwood as it dries down. It gives it a dusty wood edge to take a bit of the sweetness away, and when dry, the patchouli is more noticeable. Finally the caramel backs off and leaves a sweet, dusty wood fragrance. I don't get any of the currant, which is a bit disappointing. The tobacco really only shows up softly underneath, if I really look for it. I'm a bit on the fence with this one. I don't think I'm much of a fan of the caramel/sweet woody blends. At least I'm not really fond enough of them to want more than one blend from this group. The sandalwood makes this one for me though, and does reign in what initially threatens to be too foody. I'll hang onto the decant and have another go at it later.

Okay, this is stunning. I had to try it just because it's a Slavic blend, and the description is just breathtaking. And wow. Wet - dirt! Wet, upturned earth - how does she do it? Oddly, the pine is barely noticeable in this blend for me. Given how it usually amps, I'm amazed. Instead it's like the smell of tree bark. I completely get the night-time woods in this. The mosses are sweet, not herbal. It's glorious! Dry, there's a sweet berry coming from somewhere. It goes momentarily floral, then the pine kicks in, and now it's berry. Berries in a wood with sweet night time air. Completely unexpected and unique. I love it!

I'm having a really hard time picking my favourite pine blend, as Beth just does pine SO well. Wolf Moon is another divine piney, evergreen blend. But being a moon, it's a marvelous morpher! Wet, its all cold forest, damp fir and tart hints of berry. Then as it dries, ahhhhh the musk does it's thing and steps in to make it creamy and warm and wonderful. It stays very close to the skin, but with a pine blend, this is a good thing. Pine really stays on my skin, and will tend to throw itself about with wild abandon. Here, however, it's much more subdued, and manages to step back for the other notes. It's warm, comforting and beautiful. So glad I've got a bottle coming!

Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmoss-tastic! If you love moss, this is a green, smooshy mossy festival! *huffs wrist* The lemony edge is luscious and right after it dries, the rich herbal quality of the wet stage eases back as the fig rounds the whole thing out with a breath of fruit. It's not as unisex dry as it was wet, there's a slight floral finish. But moss doesn't quit on me, so it's still mossy love! The Apothecary is goodly!

I'm freakin' loving this! The milk note scared my off trying this blend earlier, but it's a fine background note here. Wet, it's almond. Marzipan on the wrist. Followed by oats. There's not much by way of morphing as it dries, it just gets creamier as the milk kicks in. The honey is barely-there, the sweetness really only coming from the almond. It's like a big bowl of almond porridge, drizzled with cream and a little honey. The lack of sweetness makes this a "foody" blend I can definitely do. Love it! Might just add it to the bottle list.

Well, there is nothing about this baby that I don't like. Wet, it's a cinnamon and ginger spicy party of tasty joy. It's a far less sweet snake, both those notes lending it a woody quality that is just so languid and earthy. The strength of the cinnamon and ginger notes really cause the snake oil to lurk about in the background. Drying down, both the cinnamon and ginger settle down with the snake oil for a cuddle. Win? Hell yes. Adore this snake!

Mmm. All the great things about Beth's winter blends: Snow, slush, pine. And the wonderful warmth underneath it all. I also detect a slight berry note. It's got a wonderful little hint of baked goods just underneath. Delish!

Oh I love the snow blends! This is magnificent. Love the painting that inspired it, and the blend is a perfect interpretation. Wet: Mint! That awesome snowy note, but unlike Nuclear Winter, this is cold, frosty snow, not melting slush. The green, herbal notes in this stay cold and frozen. The frankincense is just a breath, adding just a touch of depth. Dry, the musks ever so faintly make themselves known. They add a creamy edge as pale musks often do, but they still somehow don't stop the blend from being cold and airy. I can imagine my breath steaming in front of me. How Beth's managed that, I don't know, but I'm awestruck! Bravo. This is divine. Might just get a bottle in the future.

Frimped to me by the awesome DenMother. *Sigh* This blend is clearly sex. I know that from one sniff of the imp, to the very initial wet phase on my skin. Resinous, dark, musky and complex. But Black Amber is the kiss of death on my skin. It's the one amber that just will NOT work, no matter what else is in the bottle. Add myrrh and it's all over. This would-be glorious blend went to doom-powder on me faster than it dried. You could almost hear it turning to powder. It positively pains me to have to wash off something as potentially superb as this - but my skin chemistry just will not allow black amber to work.

Well, I knew this one would be risky on me. Wet - all Dragon's Blood. Sweet, floral Dragon's Blood. Everything else in this blend has to just wait for this loud note to wear itself out before even getting a look-in. After quite a wait, it finally does - aha, there's the leather and myrrh. Hi. If the DB wasn't leaving behind sweet floral traces, this might be awesome. Alas, I smell no steel, which is disappointing. Once dry, this really fades on me, and it's almost certainly just a matter of time before the myrrh and my skin remember that they don't get along. I took a punt on this for one of my characters, but I'm afraid the search for a good, masculine warrior's blend continues. With DB, and my skin, it's just far to floral and sweet to evoke the right kind of images for me. Alas.

Straight up this is strong cherry. It's got that medicinal edge, so I know it'll take drying down before I can really get into it. And it's lovely when it does. Cherry is the dominant note on me, though despite the note's strength, the patchouli grounds it nicely, and the verbena adds a lemony zing underneath. The cardamon finally comes through once it's been on for a while, and spices it all up nicely. A beautiful cherry blend. Not a CD love yet, but definitely worth hanging onto this decant and see how I feel about it later. I've had a number of blends grow on me, so I think this one just might do that.

Mmmmm - another scrumptious tea blend. Lemony, luscious tea with the faintest breath of leather underneath. It goes wonderfully creamy on the dry down. Refreshing and sexy. Yummy!

I'm a bit on the fence with Velvet. The cocoa note is strong when wet, but that soon fades as the sandalwood takes over. I love sandalwood, but I'm actually not too sure whether I particularly like it with cocoa. It settles down when dry, and the cocoa picks up a bit again, and the softening of the sandalwood is much nicer. The myrrh (which I am just *waiting* to turn on my skin) seems to be behaving here, and adds quite a lot to the other two notes. I'm enjoying this stage. Overall I'm not sure. I think this is an imp I'll let age, then try it again. Right now it's nice, and if the myrrh holds out on me, I'll definitely hang onto it.

Guh. Oh my lordy yes. The familiar delicious snake oil is there, but there's a glorious, herby, woody warmth to it. The sage and sandalwood take the edge off the sweetness and lend this blend a divine depth. A slightly masculine edge, without it being at all a masculine blend (though it would no doubt be scrumptious on a boy). As it dries, the snake oil really backs off, so there's just that sexy honey'n'spice base. The sage and sandalwood just drift about. The leather is the soft, sweet kind, and compliments the other two. This is SO gorgeous. Absolutely want a bottle of this.

Oh wow, yum! I have been hankering for Beth's slushy note, and it's divine! There's evergreen with a wonderful blast of mint and a touch of ozone. The effect really is slushy snow. Initially the green, herbal notes warm the blend, like winter is passing - then the mint rises back and the snow dominates again. Drying down it softens up to a beautiful minty green, the grassy notes settling down. There's almost a hint of wildflower in there, but it's so distant I might just be confusing it with the creamy sweetening of the evergreen. Either way, it's gorgeous!

This is a dusty rose. Like dried roses. Given the amping powers of rose on my skin, I'm quite surpised that the amber and musk is noticeable. The rose is dominant, but the warmth of the other notes manages to get a hand hold, and drying down, this is lovely. Unfortunately, this amber and my skin aren't going to get along. Dry, it's gone to slightly rosey doom-powder, and has lost all of it's haunting qualities. I smell like granny. To the swaps with it.
