Received as an imp today. The vial is dark, deep brown. I can tell this packs a hit before applying. Very manly, & wild. Musky, resinous, & invigorating. Like someone else said, I think I smell cinnamon or clove too. I'd buy a bottle just to enjoy it aging.

I love it. Reminds me of the fuzzy pink flowers growing on trees where I lived as a kid. Smells the same too. Sweet, floral, & simple. It smells like I imagined. Honey bells smelling like a toned down honeysuckle, while the osmanthus has a fuzzy pink warm but sweet play going on. I had to look up what these flowers look like, & I was wrong. I pictured pink puffballs for osmanthus, but no it's clusters of white flowers. Honey bells look like cigars.

I've had this bottle since 2018. I love it. It was my venture into something darker & mysterious. It has those qualities too. It's rich, sweet, airy & a little wine smelling. I wore this to work one day, but stopped for an energy drink. The guy behind me in line kept taking deep breaths & moaning. I dunno if that was me that did that to him, but it was very creepy. Anyways...

I've had my bottle since 2018. It smells like a bright, juicy citrus with a crystal-like crispness. That's best I can explain. It really rounds out to be more fruity as it fades. I would order a 2nd bottle of this.

I have 2 reviews. *This review is for my 2018 bottle. It is powdery, soft, slightly sweet, all skin musk on me. Coming back to this now, & studying the notes again, I'm surprised at what this has. The Star Jasmine is very faint. The myrrh & sandalwood are the beautiful stars in this. Combined with the creamy skin musk this is a very intimate scent. **This review is for my 2021 bottle. It has that heady quality in it from the skin musk. I get zero star jasmine. Some pink musk is there. Dried I smell the sandalwood, & creamy musk. Will have to age more.

Amber with sweet vanilla, sugary. There is something else in there grounding this. But it sings high & sweetly. I think I smell mallow just faintly there.

I love this special little imp. Smells like something bright, something that clears the sinuses. I want to say eucalyptus is in this, but I am not good at spotting individual notes. It's minty, clean, & fresh.

Received a decant of this. I feel so blessed! The sweet opium & lotus has a liquorice smell almost. I get amber & pine resin next. Finally, the rose otto amps the opium & they blossom after everything else fades. I wish I could get a full bottle of this now.

I've an imp of this, maybe 2 or 3 years old. Never really worn it or studied it. It has all the notes I love, so I think I will buy a bottle of this. Spicy, a hint of rose attar, deepened with sandalwood, myrrh & patchouli, followed by the Pinot Noir & jasmine. Lovely!

The Antikythera Mechanism

I've had an imp of this for a couple years now. Smells foodie to me. I get the warmest vanilla & slight tobacco, deepened with woods. Interesting, but not my taste. -
Swapped for a second bottle of this! This bottle smells sweeter than my first one. I don't get any stinky oudh in this thankfully. The rose sandalwood combined with blush amber is something I can't get enough of. Sweet vetiver & red oudh are playing friendly in this bottle. Oh it's so nice. Planning to give a decant to my mother.

Woman Dragging Her Aroused Lover Across a Bridge
Rane. replied to forspecial_plate's topic in Lupercalia
Rosewood, vanilla husk, & hinoki are the first impression notes for this blend on me. Slowly the wet oak comes out with the ambrette adding musk, & amber warming it up some. Gentle, embracing. Love it. -
A Karasu Tengu Copulating with the Knot-Hole of a Pine Tree
Rane. replied to zankoku_zen's topic in Lupercalia
Swapped for this. It's the softest rose, a hint of something gives it musk, with some slight pine, bark, & Terebinth sharpness to it. Just rich enough, not overpowering. It has a powdery, dusty finish to it. Makes me feel femme. So very happy to have acquired this experience. Oooh baby now I smell the Oakmoss! -
I just wanted to add that I could swear that I do not have the same thing everyone is reviewing here, because they are all so favorable & smelling nice things, but I do have the exact same thing. I really can't get over how it smells in the bottle. It's repulsive. Nothing like the notes people are getting. But once I put it on it changes to a completely different tune. It's a fun trick to pop on my wife. Occasionally I'll have her blind smell the bottle, gag, then she'll smell my wrist, & say "WTF?? It's amazing!" Everytime. Am I the only one experiencing this?

I bought this maybe 2020. As much as I love it, with the color being a slightly pale gold, it peels & scratches off easily. It is a one coat paint, which is lovely. I've tried many ways to put a clear coat on top without it turning or staying wet, even when the polish has dried first. Perhaps I'll try a UV top coat. So I just use it for my pinky nails now instead of all my nails. I plan to buy more bottles in the future however.

*whoops double imp reviewed this.

I have an imp of this. Warm, yummy honey, with subtle earthy patchouli. A touch of fig, with a slap of clove on top, fading into sweet ylang-ylang. Enjoyable but think I would pass. It's unisex, a little too food smelling to me.
-
I have an imp of this. Sweet, deep red cherries & currants finished off with woods. It's mouth watering.
-
Bought a bottle of this. It really doesn't last long on me. But the experience is super floral, all white flowers with damp dew on them. Then it fades to soap. Not bad, but man I wish this sang a little more. Very Ghost Flowers.
-
Bought a bottle of this. It's a lovely rose, powdered down by Spanish moss. The rose leaf keeps this from being too flowery. It greens it up more.
-
I have an imp of this. It's a nice high floral from the jasmine & tuberose, leveled out by rose, & an intense depth from the Frangipani. Like an incense almost but as it fades I get a gentle rose.
-
I have an imp of this. I get cherry & clove mostly, with a hit of dragon's blood & myrrh last. It's a spicy one that reminds me of a kitchen cabinet at first, but as it fades it turns into a complex & luxurious scent.
-
I have an imp of this. It's lovely. Dragon's blood with leather & smoke is a fantastic combination. Smells like burning dragon's blood resin with a whiff of leather in the background.
-
I have an imp of this. Smells herbal. I can faintly smell the essence of dragons blood, almost like I'm burning some. The cinnamon is very gentle too which I love. The red musk & patchouli blend kind of powdery. So this is a shifter. & I do think I'll be ordering a bottle.

Have an imp of this. Super herbal at first, but starts to blossom into flowers, grounded by the leather. The cinnamon is very gentle in this, which I love.
