I didn't get any of the wintergreen or root beer weirdness that people are talking about, nor did I get very much vanilla out of this. I got a very strong cream and saffron scent, which is perfect for me. Good throw, long lasting. I'm glad it's not sweeter on me, because otherwise it might be a little too much. As it is, its lovely!

I love this, but it's a VERY smoky patchouli with a little fig and benzoin. I expected it to be a little lighter or sweeter with the bourbon vanilla but I literally get none of it. If you're a patchouli fan, you'll love it, but if not, I'd try to go for something else. Long lasting, good throw.

I've collected most of BPAL's violet blends, and this one is pretty lovely. The sandalwood is light, and balances well here. This reminds me of a less sweet Bruised Violet Compound. I'll definitely be picking up a backup bottle of this!

I get a lot of strawberry and blackberry wine from this, but sadly no frankincense or champaca. I'm not saying I don't like it, but it sort of reminds me of a strawberry car air freshener. I think it'll be good for layering-- maybe with either The Candy Butcher or maybe even The Imperfect Enjoyment? -
When I first tried it on I got violets with a hint of vanilla, no gardenia (at least, as far as I can tell). As it dries, the vanilla really amps up, and it's all I can really smell-- I can smell some faint flowers if I put my nose right to my wrist. This is nice, but there are violet blends I like better.

This is my first Lunacy purchase and I am stunned. I get a lot of goat's milk and honey, and a friend remarked that it smelled a little incense-y. Overall, warm, with a bit of spice and honey. I love it!
