I'm really enjoying this, although IMO it definitely benefits from some rest. Initially, it was a pretty but fairly perfumey peach apricot with wisps of the other notes. Now, a few weeks later, it's smoother and more blended to my nose. It smells like sweet apricot (not as ripe as as one in Katharina, more akin to the one in Haloes), white peach, rice milk (so good with the fruit), and the frankincense and cardamom hover in the background, giving it warmth. I kind of want a peach smoothie now. This doesn't smell foodie to me, though; the non-foody notes, while ethereal, keep it out of gourmand territory. I hope the frankincense and spice continue to deepen with age.

My skin seems to eat this, so I wish it was a bit stronger on me. Lovely smoky vanilla, tonka, and hay notes, although I can't pick out the other notes very well. Maybe this will strengthen with age. It's almost earthy, but also sophisticated.

This starts off a bit soapy floral ish, but dries down into a very nice spicy hay scent with just a touch of florals. I really like the hay note! Everything blends really well and I can't pick out jasmine at all.

Seriously gorgeous. I actually find the throw fairly strong, although I think the longevity will get better as it ages. The Snake Oil and Smut blend really well into a bright, rich, sugared and spiced vanilla with sensual red musk. I can pick out the cardamom but not the leather so much, though it's probably making the scent more substantial. Glad to have a bottle; I'm sure this will age gloriously.

Ooh, this is good! I almost passed it up because I already have a lot of beeswax scents, but the mention of the vetiver being the same type as in Two Sheep and Two Goats made me blind bottle. And yep, this is soft, honeyed beeswax with the sweet, grassy, sweetly smoky vetiver of Two Sheep. It's almost vanillic and not at all BBQ-esque. Endless Corridors smells like a beeswax candle with magical vanilla-sweetgrass smoke. If you like the vetiver in Two Sheep and the Lab's beeswax note, this is a happy marriage of those two scents.

This scent smells like wildflowers, although like wildflowers, it's pretty light. The honey, vanilla, and strawberry give it a gentle sweetness but don't dominate. A pretty, well-blended floral scent, unobtrusive and springlike. Good for layering.

Wet, this is all jasmine and incense. The jasmine isn't indolic though; it has a sheer quality, like a gauzy veil that obscures the other notes. The dry down is slow but beautiful, with the sweeter notes emerging and gaining strength over time. This isn't as sweet or vanilla cream dominant as La Prostitution or Poinsettia Gown IMO, but it's definitely in that same family. I'm also excited to see how it ages. Strong jasmine can sometimes make me headachey, but wearing this under my shirt makes it the perfect amount of strength. Throw and longevity are great. I took a chance on this one but am definitely enjoying it. "Coy" is a good descriptor; the scent is bold and playful, with hidden depth.

This is so good, unf. Starts off smelling like fresh, warm, yeasty bread with a light golden crust and fluffy insides. Over time, the amaretto and almond cream sweeten it a little, and the spices add a really cozy element. My favorite bread scent so far (and I adore quite a few). I love it and it's wonderfully soothing to go to sleep to.

This is a lovely cherry blossom scent; it smells like springtime in a bottle. To me, it's almost like a cherry blossom SN, in the way that single notes are actually amalgamations of many scents that form into one. The cream makes it creamy and delicate, the honeysuckle makes it bright and almost fruity, and the gardenia adds depth and richness. I always have a hard time distinguishing plum and cherry blossom, so I can't really weigh in on that much, but maybe that adds some fruitiness too. This has similar notes to Every Day You Play in the Light of the Universe, but I like this better!

I'm so into this one, but I also adore honey and almond in perfume, so that isn't really surprising. Wet, the almond has that chewy marzipan quality to it, but it smooths out and blends with the honey as the scent dries. The honey smells bright, crystallized. This reminds me a lot of the way the filling in an almond croissant smells. Unf, it's so good and I'm really not doing it justice. I basically swooned when I first opened the bottle. Compared to Dana O'Shee, another favorite of mine, I'd say this has more honey and less almond once it gets going, and it doesn't have that soothing milk note. It also has more throw, so is less subtle; it's a sunny, flirty, queen bee kind of scent. π

I love this! The cacao is smooth and lightly rich without being foodie, the tobacco makes it a little rugged, and the bourbon (vanilla?) cream sweetens it a little. Very wearable, very swoon. Glad to have a bottle.

I tend to be wary of both jasmine and red musk, but have also found blends containing these notes that I love. I'm also a big fan of the other notes listed here, so I took a chance on a decant of A-Rovin' (plus, it's another scent for a good cause!). The jasmine and red musk tend to be pretty high-pitched on my skin unfortunately (not sure if because of skin chem or just my perception), so I miss out on some of the less bombastic notes until long into the dry-down. It's nice overall and I'm glad I tried it, but it's probably not one I'll reach for much. Edit: a year later, and I'm reaching for my decant more than I thought I would . . . It still gives me a headache if I smell it straight on, but if I wear it under my clothes it's gorgeous.

This smells like lemon tea with a lot of sugar and a drop of booze. I would definitely drink this if it were edible, and smelling like it is pretty nice too.

This somehow smells like the way black velvet feels. Very dark, but not burnt; scratchy, but soft. It's difficult for me to pick out individual notes here, but I think the cacao, vetiver, and tobacco are what give this such a deep, almost earthy scent. The florals are very well-blended; they seem subdued but I'm sure they're adding to the overall atmosphere. As others have noted, this is a really strong scent; it can linger on my skin and clothes for days. This isn't the type of scent in my usual wheelhouse, but I really like to wear it to help me sleep. It's like a dark, soporific cocoon. Of course, I made the mistake of wearing it today to formulate my thoughts on it better, and now I'm sleepy . . .

Soft, creamy-powdery orris and amber warmed by patchouli. The patchouli is light. This really does have a warmth and elegance to it; the chypre adds a lovely complexity. I can see why others describe this as smelling like a classic. It puts me in mind of a high-end perfume, except better, because it doesn't have that sharpness, just soft warmth.
-
I never thought of myself as a patchouli person, but BPAL has changed my mind! Silky Bat is my favorite patch scent thus far (and that includes BB/RR, which is also wonderful, but SB is just a bit more my jam for whatever reason). It's smooth, sugared, almost forest-y patchouli and it lasts forever on my skin. Makes me feel more confident/extroverted than I actually am. I adore it.
-
Starts off lemony, dries down to a cozy blend of hearthsmoke, oak, and a hint of whiskey. The red musk is light and just sort of ties everything together, but isn't that noticeable to my nose. My apologies for being such a gamer, but this is what an inn/tavern in Skyrim or Icewind Dale must smell like. Will definitely keep my decant for when I need that kind of atmosphere.

Maybe We Wear the Mask? There's a wistful quality to it IMO, and I think Tom and Galen described it similarly in one of their videos. -

This is *gorgeous.* I jumped on the chance to get a bottle of this one because I love honey and recently discovered I am crazy for Silky Bat, so a sugary honeyed patch sounded amazing and like something I was missing in my collection. This scent isn't as . . . crisp? focused? extroverted? as Silky Bat; it's soft and serene, dusted with cinnamon sugar and golden with honey. -
Lavender and White Chocolate Madeleines

This starts out smelling very similar to Two Frames---herbal lavender doused in creamy sugar---but the two dry down differently. Whereas Two Frames is mostly about the buttercream frosting, this scent is a bit more complex and dries down into a fluffy madeline cookie with a hint of vanilla extract. It's a pretty, delicate scent and doesn't have a ton of throw or longevity (at least not at this stage in its life), but it's definitely delicious and amazingly accurate. Yum! -
Fresh out of the mail, this is a blast of bright, sugary strawberry. It has way more throw than I expected! To me, the strawberry is the same as in the Strawberries/Cotton Candy/Lime trio. Candied rather than tart. The honeycomb must be what's making the strawberry so sugary, but it's definitely a lighter honey than in many scents. I'll be interested to see if it deepens or gets muskier with age. Overall, this is mouthwatering and aggressively cheerful; will definitely wear on days when I need a pick me up. Edit: If you like Honeyed Apple and wish there were a candied strawberry version, you'd probably like this. Also, even though I've never smelled Velvet Unicorn, this is kind of what I imagine that to smell like. Someone else will have to weigh in on that comparison, though.

This is one of those scents I've had hard time reviewing because I like it so much. It's a perfect chilly-minty but creamy-sweet scent, with the green tea giving it a light base that keeps it from being overly sweet/gourmand. And it goes so well with other scents I like. In my hair, it's noticeable but not overwhelming. Big, big win. π

Delicious sugary lavender and baked goods with a hint of smooth ale. It definitely isn't really boozy, just balanced by the ale note. It's also a more delicate than hearty scent. I'm not detecting fruit? but that could just be my nose. The cake here smells more like a honey cake or lavender scone, to me. I wish the staying power was a little better, but I'm still going to enjoy the heck out of my decant. I have so many sweet lavender bottles now that I'm trying to resist getting another one, but I'm certainly tempted.

I adore the dirt note here (it really smells like cold dirt), and the florals and maple-y fenugreek are really interesting together with it. It kind of reminds me of Destroying Angel, but if you added misty gray notes, flowers (which are gorgeous, I can pick out the iris and linden), oak, and a hint of sweet maple to it. Very atmospheric and calming. Decent throw, medium wear length.

The peach and pink carnations are the strongest notes to me at first and give me a bubblegum like impression. The scent becomes more complex as it dries down, with the light musk, hay, and rooibos making an appearance. I really like the hay and carnation combo, although I already have so many good hay scents that I'm not sure if I'll bottle this one yet. I adore the bottle art, though, and this scent does an amazing job of capturing that in a perfume medium.
