A creamy, slightly powdery, almost vanillic white floral with a green undertone that kind of does smell poisonous. Unlike some white florals, this does not give me a headache or turn indolic. Strangely addictive and layers beautifully with vanilla.

2024 version. It smells primarily like vanilla cream (a note I love), with a hint of makeup and cherry. Soft, pretty, and mild.

I knew I should have just bottled this, because it's exactly what I hoped for from these notes. It's simple, creamy dark chocolate with a hint of whatever the blood note is. I'm unsure if it's a fruit note (pomegranate?) or dragon's blood, but it gives the scent a little bit of a perfumey edge that keeps it from being entirely hot chocolate. I'll update the review if I can figure out what the blood note reminds me of.

I really like this one, especially in the wet phase, where it's reminiscent of Streets of Detroit and motor oil/gasoline. It's dark, metallic, industrial. As it dries, the resins and vanilla sweeten the scent until it reminds me almost of a champagne note? This is a morpher, but it's also fresh out of the mail and I'm curious to see how the oud and vanilla age. So far, this is one of my two favorites of all the decants I ordered.

When I first got this I worried it would be too coconutty for me, but after a few days of rest I'm kind of obsessed. It's such a sweet, smooth vanilla that isn't as incensey or "dark" as some Snake Oil variants. A fluffy, cheerful Snake Oil, slightly gourmand and tropical but with that rich vanilla warmth.

I'm not usually drawn to orange as a note, but I loved the past vintage blow mold scents so I had to get this one. And I *love* it. To my nose, the crystalline amber is different from the plasticky, milky amber of the previous scents. It's lighter and quite ethereal. The white musk is the game gorgeous, gauzy note as in My Soul Aquiesced. The orange note is sweet, not at all sharp or high pitched. It reminds me of those chocolate covered candied orange slices. I don't detect much pumpkin. Maybe there's a hint of it if I really try to find it, but I keep forgetting this has a pumpkin note honestly. This doesn't have much throw, but it lasts forever on me. I put it on one night and could smell it all throughout the next day. It's a backup bottle contender for me, and I'm not even an orange lover.

This is so pretty. 🤍 I blind bottled thinking this would be like Tomie or Ava, and it has that fancy, cold vibe to it, but it also has a similar creamy, chilled vanilla as Snow White. I'm fairly neutral about white musk but I think it's really nice here, kind of floating and delicate. Overall this is a soft, cool, sweet rose that I think will be enjoyable for fans of Knave of Snowflakes, Katrina Van Tassel, and From Whose Eyes as They Glance Flowed Love.

To me, this is a hyperrealistic imitation of what it smells like if you put your face up to a lichen-covered branch that's damp from the rain (which I have done because I hike a lot). The frankincense gives this a faintly smoky scent as it wears. It's like a forest in a bottle.

To me, this is light and pretty and smells a bit like an expensive salon product, but also like classic BPAL (it has a hint of that effervescent cola-like incense to it). It's mineralic, but in a sparkly kind of way rather than an earthy one. It pairs well with The Grey Columns (grey and white amber), which is one of my favorite everyday scents. I wish there was a perfume version of this in addition to a HG.

Deer Moon: Golden Tobacco and Beeswax
feyofthefellwood replied to doomsday_disco's topic in Duets & Menage A Trois
Bless reviewers, because this wasn't originally on my radar, but as soon as I saw the petrichor comparisons I knew I needed it. And I love it. It goes on very earthy and petrichor-ish, but it dries to a beautiful soft tobacco note gilded with honeyed beeswax. I've tried other tobacco/honey combinations but those were much heavier and sweeter than this. Overall, this is unusual but lovely. -
To me, this is quite a sweet scent. It makes me think of white chocolate even though that isn't a note. The honeyed date note is most prominent to me and is absolutely gorgeous; it reminds me a little of Lush's Sticky Dates. A pretty, sugary, decadent gourmand.

When I first got this, I wasn't sure what to think of it. Now I'm really into it, which figures now that the Yules are down (at least I have a bottle!). IMO, this variety of lavender and plum initially clash and smell a bit odd together, but once they dry down and meld? Absolutely gorgeous. I can smell the flaky pastry and the caramel, but the caramel is never overly sweet or overwhelming. This isn't almondy to me at all. The plum note is so good and doesn't veer too tart or too sweet. Aside from Drow Yoga Instructor (which also features lavender but without the "clashing" phase), this is my favorite plum perfume I think.

I know I've tried a previous version of this but can't remember how it compares to this year's . . . Anyway, this one is gorgeous. The green and woody notes are gentle and the dry-down is a creamy beeswax vanilla that reminds me a little of Snow White for some reason. I'd definitely call it more of a vanilla beeswax than a honey one.

Worm Moon: Bourbon Vanilla and Teakwood
feyofthefellwood replied to doomsday_disco's topic in Duets & Menage A Trois
This one isn't what I expected, but I still like it a lot. Instead of the deep, woody teak note in Antikythera Mechanism and Glowing Vulva, this one seems lighter and "greener." With the non-foody vanilla, the scent as a whole reads as a "green vanilla" to my nose. It's fairly light and unobtrusive.- 6 replies

To my nose, this is more gourmand-smelling than floral or aquatic, but I know the floral notes are adding to its complexity. At first, the honey dust dominates the scent. While I don't mind this note, it's also not one I gravitate towards. However, as the scent wears the other notes peek out. Next I get some saltiness, which turns the honey into a salted caramel kind of scent. The grapefruit is tart; the florals stay very tame (at least on me). I think the cerulean musk and amber keep this from going too far into the food direction and generally give the scent a "sparkly" feel (similar to Awake, if you've tried it), but they aren't easy for me to pinpoint on their own. As the scent warms on the skin there's a bit of a "toasty" note I'm guessing is the choya nakh? But it's pretty subtle. I dig it. As for the ambergris, I can tell it's adding to the backbone of the scent and just adding to the prettiness as it wears over time. It's more perfumey at this stage. This scent lasts a long time on me and in its final stage smells like cotton candy. It's a very interesting scent overall with a lot of fun changes as it wears . . . just beware the initial honey dust blast if that isn't your favorite note. A lovely mermaid treasure of a perfume. 🧜♀️ ✨
