    Wolf Moon 2021

It started off a clean grass green, not soapy but definitely fresh with a sprinkling of berries and woods. Faint citrusy lemon scent on me, could be the musk? It's not bad, but wow is the throw extremely low. I can't smell this at all unless it's right up to my nose. While this didn't live up to my expectation, I adore that artwork!

    Muddy Armadillo

Dark cacao and tobacco with a faint boozy undertone from the bourbon cream. It's a little dusty and dirty on me, kinda musky too. This is definitely not a sweet chocolate like in Bliss or something, this is like the extremely bitter kind that has no sugar at all. The bourbon appears more than the cream but the cream is there quietly in the background giving this a very faint sweetness. A little darker and more bitter than the chocolates I tend to wear (and consume ), but I'm digging it! I wish the cream was a bit more noticeable, but sometimes you want dark chocolate instead of milk chocolate. Give this a try if you find most BPAL chocolate blends to be too sweet.

    Impeachment

I was expecting lots of peach and what I got was apricot. Like, there's peach but it's dark and musky. Definitely not juicy and sweet like you'd normally find. And honestly, not even foodie even with the apricot being fairly dominant on me. The honeyed rose appears, but not until well after drying. And wow does this last a long time, going strong about 8 hours later. I initially thought it was fading fast, but really it was the apricot calming the fuck down. If you're looking for a long lasting BPAL, this is it! However, the throw isn't very long if that's a concern too. The oudh in here is great and not stinky, I believe this is my first time trying white oudh so I'll have to find more blends with that note. If you're looking for a Civil Twilight comparison (they both have peach and amber notes), I posted my thoughts here if anyone is interested.

    Thousand Pillar Atmosphere Spray

Not a big fan of this. It's super alcohol to me, like rubbing alcohol mentioned in previous reviews. I wish there was a scent description because it's hard to describe what's in it. Definitely something incense or patchouli. Luckily that alcohol note dies down with time, but I'm still not completely satisfied with the end result. I'd probably like this better in perfume oil or hair gloss form than atmosphere spray.

    Meigetsu Ya

I can't believe I initially passed this over. It's basically an ice cold orange juice! It's amazing and delicious, had me craving some of the real thing for sure. If you love citrus notes, do not hesitate to try this. Sure to be a (Sunny) Delight in the warmer months. If you'd like it sweeter, layering with Marshmallow Snow would probably work well!

    The Cherry-Tree Carol

Cherry amber woods with a faint hint of berries. Eventually the rose overtakes basically every note but the cherry and cherrywood. I don't hate rose, but I definitely wasn't expecting to overtake notes such as frankincense and myrrh. I also agree with the baby powder comparisons. On it's own I'm not a big fan, but I could see this working with cherry blends!

    Bleeding Walls

Pretty much just cherry. Started out like cherry cough syrup, but that faded into cherry and berry lollipops. Didn't get any type of wallpaper or almond notes, but that's fine with me. I bet this would layer well with the chypre in Gen Z Feminist Cenobite!

    Two Frames

Delicious vanilla lavender cake. Weirdly, the lavender isn't the strongest on me. It's definitely the buttercream and vanilla. Really good! Not sure why, but initially the lavender reminded me of mints like in Dragon Slide. I can't compared this to TKO since I have yet to try it, but now I am looking forward to it.

    Marshmallow Chick Sanguinem Menstruum

I have not tried the regular Sanguinem Menstruum, but this is so much nicer than I anticipated! Definitely sweet from the marshmallow, but there's a dark blood musk and faint floral lingering in the background. I think there's some honey in here as well. It's really nice, but for sure on the sweeter side of things than dark. Probably won't upgrade, but I enjoyed this!

    Popcorn Ball Snake Oil

Super delicious popcorn with the vanilla spiced goodness of Snake Oil. Definitely reminds me of popcorn balls for sure instead of regular movie theater popcorn. This is not buttery at all so if you want a more plain popcorn with some sweetness, this is a good choice. One of the best popcorn scents around, I'm in love!

    Peach VI

Patchouli and peaches with touches of blackcurrant and benzoin. This is definitely not foodie on me even with the peaches. However it is very faint and fades pretty fast, so I would totally use more next time I wear this. Benzoin was incredibly strong when wet, basically overpowering everything. But it definitely fades down if that's a concern for you to let the peaches get stronger. It's good, not my favorite BPAL peach, but a nice twist.

    Cake Smash

I have not tried Doc Constantine so I can't really tell if that is in here, but I am very familiar with Snake Oil and Dorian. When wet, it was mostly a red velvet and cream cheese cupcake and I couldn't get anything else. After it's dried, I am stating to notice the Snake Oil. Not picking up Dorian or the Doc, it's mostly a sugary sweet cream cheese Snake Oil blend. Really really good! Probably one of thee better cupcake oils I've tried.

Honey, Rum, and Spiced Fig Hair Gloss

Honeyed rum pretty much, only the spices from the spiced rum appear on my hair. Pretty good, and I think would be a fantastic compliment to rum/whiskey/beer oils! I don't have too many fig blends, so I was hoping that appeared so I'd have something to wear with Cannibal Lady Macbeth. Sadly this does not last too long, which is something that shocked me considering hair glosses last way longer than perfume oils in my experience. You might want to add extra than you usually wear.

    The Twelfth

Such a stunner, probably the best banana scent of BPAL! The banana is super strong when wet, but it does fade away pretty quickly. That's kinda typical with bananas on me so I'm not too surprised. I don't get any ice cream really, but I definitely get a good strong vanilla. The vanilla in this reminds me way more of banana pudding than cake. Try layering this with Banana Bread if you want a beautiful banana bread and pudding combo. Heavenly. I think this would work well with Fruit Moon 2020 too!

    Utter Sophistication

I'll be honest, I'm not digging this as much as I expected. I was hoping for more popcorn! The most dominant note on me is beeswax and vanilla. And when it comes to Snake Oil and Dorian, on me the Snake Oil is much much stronger. If I didn't know Dorian was in here, I probably wouldn't have detected it. Beeswax and Snake Oil fans would dig this for sure! Would have liked for some lavender to appear, but it doesn't. I am also glad the polished oak doesn't make much of an appearance because I am picky with wood notes. Overall, not what I was wanting but still a lovely beautiful blend. I think I am started to appreciate beeswax notes more now.

    Papa Monster

Mostly getting the ring pops and licorice from this, I have to really put my wrist up to my nose to pick out the vanilla cupcakes. This is really great, very fruity and fun. Even though I am not getting much of the cupcakes, I still really like this and think it would have been fine if it was just the grape and cherry notes. Doesn't get powdery on me, some of the candy scents I have tried tend to do that on me.

    MVJBA: Spring Training 2008

This is amazing! Super accurate peanut brittle. I do get a faint little bit of caramel popcorn, but the peanut brittle is the MVP of the blend on me. Very buttery and I'm picturing that the peanut butter in this would have been the crunchy kind. I bought this for the popcorn since that's one of my top three notes, however I am amazed with how wonderful this is and I think I need to try some more peanut butters. The throw starts off pretty strong, but it fades with time.

    Boo Hair Gloss

This review is for the 2014 version! Similar to the 2009 perfume oil, however this is less buttery and more sugary cotton. And weirdly the perfume oil lasts longer than this? I don't usually have that happen with hair glosses and this is much newer than the oil. While I thought the cream in the perfume oil almost resembled popcorn, this comes close to resembling candy corn on me. I think the cotton and sugar really shine more in this blend than the cream. Still just as lovely as the perfume oil, will upgrade if I can!

    Boo

This review is for the 2009 version! Amazing, a beautiful buttery blend of sugary marshmallows and cream. I personally don't get a cotton note, but I'm fine with that. This almost resembles popcorn to me. As this dries, I'm getting a tea like note, which was unexpected but I enjoy it. Compared with the 2014 hair gloss, I think these are pretty similar but the hair gloss is stronger. Hopefully I will be able to upgrade this beauty, even if it's not the 2009 version I reviewed. Aoede, Melete, Mneme from the 2020 Liliths is the closest thing I can think of that resembles this.

    Scarecrow Turned Philosopher

Soft faint corn and amber hay, surprising pretty sugary on me? I'm going to chalk that up to the amber. The wildflowers mostly read as grass to me, and they are staying in the background. I've seen this being compared to Corn Riggs, and they are a little similar. To me, Corn Riggs is stronger with a smoky note. Enjoying, but since I've got a bottle of Corn Riggs I think I'll be fine without a bottle.

    Playing with Dangerous Toys v2

This is absolutely nothing like the original Playing With Dangerous Toys! Basically a bubblegum single note on my skin. There's a faint vanilla frosting note, which makes me think of a vanilla cake with bubblegum toppings. As usual with me and bubblegum, I love this! Definitely wish this was the Dangerous Toys that was released instead, but I can appreciate both.

    Playing with Dangerous Toys

Mostly got the cocoa, wood, and a strong resin note which faded almost completely within about an hour. No coconut or moss that I could tell and just a small amount of tobacco stayed in the background. It's not bad, but I definitely prefer the prototype since I am a sucker for bubblegum scents. I might have liked this more with a stronger cocoa and tobacco.

Wad Of Chewed Up Strawberry Bubblegum

Powdery and chalky bubblegum, alright! I love a good bubblegum note, and while they tend to fade fast on me, this one is by far the worst offender. All I'm getting now is chalky strawberries, almost like candy. Probably not gonna hunt for more since I've found better bubblegum scents that last a lot longer. But this was fun, and if reviews comparing this to a Lolita prototype are true, I am very glad I got to try this considering I have yet to try that one.

    Pumpkin III (2007)

Definitely a pumpkin spiced caramel frappucchino to my nose! Only note that doesn't appear to me is the pomegranate, but that could have faded with age. Otherwise this is a delicious warm pumpkin coffee with extra cream. The white chocolate is a little faint and only really appeared during the wet stage, I'm thinking that note might have morphed into coffee on me? Probably won't upgrade cause I've got a plethora of lovely coffee blends, but if you really love pumpkins and coffee give this a shot!
