When wet, this resembled Black Coffee from the 2020 Winter release. All black coffee with no sweetener. It takes a while for that note to fade to more of a ground coffee bean scent and then the pastries note gets stronger and sweetens up the blend a little but not overwhelming. I like it, won't be upgrading but it's going to be perfect for fall and winter!

This one is a little odd, much like the name. The dragon's blood resin in here resembles a woody, peppery smoky beef or something? I've had BPAL's dragon's blood note before so I don't know why this one just smells so funky. Eventually the beefy part leaves, still have a smoky quality though, and I can get the faint grapefruit and floral mix. Mostly the lilac, I can't pick out the honeysuckle. It gets better, that wet stage is just really strange and I might need to retest it. Since this is from 2019, my guess is that the florals have faded quite a bit from my decant and that's why I'm getting a lot of this resin. Not really for me, but I'm hoping it'll perform better in the colder months or something.

Not sure which year my decant is from. Lots of spices and apple cider, I keep thinking there may be hay in here but it's not in the notes. Gets more boozy as it dries down along with more orange. It doesn't last terribly long, it's been close to an hour and now all I'm getting is a faint mix of spices, mostly cinnamon. Definitely will not upgrade, but I wish this had better staying power. It's pretty good if you can get past the wear time!

Vanilla mint candies covered in tons of sugar. I can't really detect the pistachio. Reminds me of those Andes chocolates, just without the chocolate note. If I was blindfolded and sniffed a bottle of this and Don't Lick It, I'd think they were the same blend! I smelled my bottle of the latter and they were pretty similar to me. The throw is pretty good on this which is nice! If you have the hair gloss of Stitched Together, that would be perfect with this. I've got quite a few mints, so I won't be upgrading this. But if mint is one of you favorite notes, this is fantastic.

I really wanted to love this. I love apples, cranberries, rum, and I like most of the other notes. But this faded so fast, like within 10 minutes! It started off like a delicious boozy cranberry, but then it started to morph into a potpourri like blend when the apple and fig got stronger. I didn't really pick up the leather at all, this was completely foodie on me. The booze note also didn't stick around long. This would have been great, maybe I'll retest this in the future and hopefully it'll behave better. But for now I'm a little bummed.

Definitely the same dead leaves note that's in the Halloweenie blends. For some reason, whenever I wear a blend with that note it goes slightly vinegary on me. Luckily, it goes away pretty quickly as the leather gets stronger. Might be due to the age, but this is heavier on the leaves note than the pleather. I like it, definitely seek this out if you adore Dead Leaves blends and want something close to a Single Note. It's a little too harsh for me to wear on it's own, but it'll definitely get some use for layering.

Waxy pumpkin and mushrooms, similar to the mushroom note in Death Cap to me! This doesn't seem foodie at all to me even though the pumpkin is super prominent. I think there may be a dirt note in here as well. A little bit of wood and grass as well. This is pretty good, definitely try and find this if you want a more natural pumpkin scent.

This review is for the 2012 version! Oddly, i'm getting some honey in here? Honeyed incense with some dry leaves and smoky incense. The leaves smell a little closer to wood. Not getting red musk at all. I like it, but likely won't upgrade.
-
Vanilla and tobacco mostly, with the cinnamon coming out while dry. No orange blossom, probably faded from age. It's got a smoky quality to it and it's a little similar to potpourri. Not what I wanted, but it's not bad! Just can't see myself wearing this.

Honeyed grapefruit, I don't get the apple cider until it starts to dry and the honey fades. Eventually, the grape turns into a Fun Dip like scent, very powdery. And the apple cider seems closer to apple juice since I'm not getting much of the spices. The throw is very, very low which is a bummer. I enjoy it, but I don't know if I'll upgrade.

So sweet and comforting. I keep thinking there's honey dust in here but it must just be the combo of goat's milk and marshmallow musk. This would be perfect for sleeping, it's pretty foodie though since I am not getting a lot of tea and just a smidge of lavender. I definitely see the graham cracker resemblance! I think the Lilith scent Boop smells somewhat similar to this, so since I have a bottle of that I won't be upgrading.

Honey herbal cough drop, haha. That's basically what this is. Doesn't read as candy to me at all. It's okay, maybe better for layering instead of wearing on its own.

Fiber-Optic Illuminated Aluminum Christmas Tree with Gen-U-Ine Pine© Scent
fairybites replied to Lycanthrope's topic in Yules
This is just pine and wood with a little bit of metallic from the aluminum. To my nose, it's similar to the silver note in the Razors in a Doll's House hair gloss. The silver is a little weird, but fits since this is supposed to be a fake tree. Kinda cologne like as it starts to fade. Not my thing, but it's interesting! -
Rose water, amber and bergamot mostly. Just a faint hint of floral in the background. It's okay, just not crazy about it. I wish the florals were stronger, but it's probably because of aging why they don't appear.

Icy and green, I got some wood notes and it went a little vinegary on me? This was a confusing scent to review since it doesn't completely match the notes. Not my thing, but if you're into ozone heavy scents I'm sure this would be great for you.

Where do I begin reviewing this? This was one of the Lupers that captivated me the most. And it ended up being nothing like I expected! I am so disappointed, I saw mentions of bubblegum in the reviews and got really excited cause it's one of my top 3 notes. It definitely does smell faintly of bubblegum when wet, but that came and went very quickly. The pear note is lovely, but again didn't stay around long. My skin ate those two notes up, so I was left with a musky champaca after about 15 minutes. It's almost like a "my skin but better" smell (is that a thing in perfumes, I know that's a lipstick thing?) The throw is also extremely close to the skin. Going to keep the decant and retest, but I want to love this so bad! This might have worked better as an atmosphere spray since it's a little bit clean smelling. Another reason I'm keeping this: I like telling people I slathered Surprise Ejaculation all over me when I wear this.

So based on the notes alone, I wasn't sure how I'd like this because I tend to wear a lot of foodies and gourmands. But I wanted to try something different since a lot of the Lupers didn't really captivate me as much as previous releases from 2020 did. And yeah, this is not for me. It is strong, not close to the skin at all. Lots of champaca and abalone, it reminds me of vintage perfume. It's got a somewhat clean quality to it, but not enough to make it seem soapy. Just smells fancy and expensive. It's a little salty when it dries down, but not enough to overpower anything as it stayed in the background. This would be great on someone else, I think I'll keep sticking to my beloved foodies. Glad I tried it though, always fun to try something new to see if my tastes change!

Almost comes close to being an apricot and peach duet. The only other note I can detect is the amber, everything else doesn't appear on me. The peach is very juicy, but the apricot is a little bit stronger. It's definitely growing on me, but it's not peachy enough for my tastes. Wear time is pretty good, about 4 hours or so until the peach left and I can only smell the apricot. I was really hoping I'd like this one a lot more than Cherry Blossom, and while I prefer it, it's not bottle worthy really. Maybe with some age the peach will get stronger and so will the other notes besides apricot, so I'll keep the decant for now.

This was the Honey Pot scent this year that I was most looking forward to. However, it didn't end up living up to the hype. When first applied, it was tooons of sugary honey and syrupy cherry, almost medicinal. Made me think of Bleeding Walls initially. Eventually, the cherry mellows out and now it's just honey and almond cream. The honey in here to me resembles honey dust more as it starts to fade. It was just okay, no upgrade. The cherry just was soo fucking strong and so was the honey, they completely overshadow what I could detect of the marzipan. I'm going to keep the decant around just to see if some aging will mellow those two notes more.

Loaf? Seriously, I thought I almost had a mislabeled bottle. It is pretty similar to Loaf from the 2020 Liliths. The main difference is that this is softer, sweeter, and creamier due to the milk and almond cream. There's some soft spices, but the bread is the main note for sure. Since I've got a bottle of Loaf, I likely won't need to bottle this. However if you missed out on Loaf or it didn't work out for you, give this a shot!

Snake Oil and leather with a little bit of patchouli. I don't get much of Smut except for a faint musky booziness. The leather isn't too strong, the patchouli and spices from Snake Oil are bigger players in this blend. It's dark and a little sweet, but I wouldn't say it goes near foodie territory or anything like that. Not my favorite Snake Oil blend, and I wish I got more of Smut, but I still like it! Will probably upgrade, hopefully some aging will help make Smut more prominent and the cardamom to appear.

Starts off as cherry blossom and honeysuckle with a touch of cream. Eventually, the plum and gardenia take over, leaving the cherry blossom note itself in the background. I don't hate it, but I did not expect the plum to be so fucking strong. It's very pretty and faint, but I have a feeling I might enjoy Peach Vulva more so I won't likely upgrade this. Lasts around 4 hours which isn't too bad!

I did not expect to like this as much as I did, I mostly picked up the decant because I love mermaids. It starts out as a beautiful jasmine rose incense with a little amber and vanilla. As it dries the rose fades a bit, I didn't get any patchouli. Rose and jasmine tend to get a little soapy, but that did not happen at all here. It does smell clean, but in a floral way not like soap. Plus, the incense makes it slightly smoky. It's close to the skin with not a big amount of throw, but it's soft and lovely. Honestly, the jasmine and incense are the main players on me. I can't get over how nice this is, I may be upgrading to a bottle!

Creamy slightly floral citrus, I thought it was orange or orange blossom initially. I think it's probably just the grapefruit and ginger confusing my nose or something. I like how it's a little fruity and a little floral; not one note seems to overtake the other. I do agree that because of the aloe it's a little similar to Embalming Fluid. The throw is so low, might be due to age or just the notes. Won't be upgrading, but it was nice while it lasted!

This review is for the 2009 version! Now this is what I wanted Bliss to smell like! Creamy sweet hot chocolate, I don't get coffee at all and just a tiny bit of cinnamon. This is a nice chocolate scent; it doesn't smell artificial and it's not too milky or too dark. I was surprised to like this so much, I may get a bottle if I can find it! And for once, it didn't get chalky on me like chocolate notes tend to do. However, there was a faint waxy ness that I've had with some other chocolates.
