I keep wanting honey to love me, and she don't. In the bottle: Barenjager Honey Liquor, and orange blossom??? on: Cloying sweetness. A version of yellow honey like a candy, or a golden liquor. Honey caramel flavoring- close to being natural but slightly plastic. (No throw or wear length data- I washed off due to sensory overload.) For me, this wasn't a winner. Will be holding onto imp to see it it ages well!

I wanted this to be a bottle I would love (and I will, just perhaps less so than other members of this collection) In bottle: a film of salt over an ethereal blend of dusty spices. Tonka appears with patchouli hand in hand at the tail end of the scent- a wandering afterthought that scampers off quickly. On: The wood of the ship is more pronounced- oaklike, and slightly musky layered beneath an almond-leaning tonka. Each spice moves in and out of the periphery, mace tricking my nose with her nutmeg like resonance. A crackle of black pepper lifts occasionally above the other components. Medium throw, medium wear length. I'm happy I have half a bottle, but won't need more.

OOf. First one here, huh? In bottle: the black patch and spiced rum make their way out of the darkness. This one is strong and reminiscent of a man's cologne with a splash of something feminine- even fresh out of the mail it is delightfully full-bodied On: My my! Who took Doleful Pipe Organ out on a couple of dates and watched them grow up into this scent-sational aroma! To my nose, the oud balances superbly with what comes across as a rendition of "Body Remember" plus a delightlfully hard working sailor chap's cologne! I tend to amp sweet notes, and stay away from them myself, but the headiness and contrast within the scent is simply stunning. Long wear and pronounced throw.

I'm pretty sure I have the 2019 version- that would make the most sense at least. In the bottle: coconut. coconut chocolate? Like a dusty mounds bar. Wet: sugar and coconut! I can smell the sugary coconut shavings, drenched with something syrupy in a decadent dessert. Dry: this has some really good staying power- now so much throw, but it kind of mellows down to a "box of chocolate candies in which all of them are coconut cremes." I've been catching whiffs of this all morning, and am loving the delightful decent into skin musk with high notes of sugar and delicate musk. It's a close smell, but not a "hey there sexy I'm ready for a whirlwind of a time"
