I love ginger and vanilla and so I thought this would be the perfect scent for me... and I DO love it... but on me the ginger is non-existant... this is milk and honey all the way (not that thats a bad thing ) Its creamy, dreamy, warm, comforting... mmmmmmm when I wear this I want to eat my arm... I want to smell myself constantly... (note to self: not a good one for a job interview ) but... mmmmmmmm!!! Easily my favorite so far... have asked friend for a 10mL for Yule... my only problem with it is it doesn't last as long as I'd like... oh well.. cest la vie!

Me likey... its sexy and soft... like afterglow... it doesn't have the brazen sexuality of O ans Snake Oil... its very sweet, feminine... I get the honey/vanilla thing... but not in a foody way... I could wear this everyday... and may have to get a big bottle to do just that... I think this on the short list of favorites!! In fact... I like it BETTER than Snake Oil...

So... I didn't initially buy this becuase of the patchouli (I love it and want to bathe in it... husband hates the smell and can pick it out of ANYTHING) But... I met some gals for Sniffin' and smelled this one and loved it... I had no recollections of the site description at the time so since I couldn't smell my beloved patchouli in the bottle, I didn't guess it was there... When I got home with this I tried it on... and at first it was very strong and very heady... like too much perfume, smogged up the house with incense heady... almost to the point of being stinky... but not... just REALLY strong (and I didn't put more than a dab on my neck...) After about 30 minutes it settled down nicely... I couldn't pick out any specific notes... its sweet... so that's gotta be the vanilla... theres a spice (beloved patchouli and musk??) but not the biting cinnamon smell of chimera and snake oil more mellow... sexy with out being overly sexual... four hours or so later... I think its gone... but the husband tells me I smell good... mental note Last night... I'm picking out something to go with my outfit for Willie Nelson's show at the Music Hall (I LOVE Willie Nelson!!!!!) and I decide on Desire... just seemed fitting but not sure why... just wanted something special since for the first (and probably only) time I got to say "I'm on Willie's guest list"... but all I can say is GREAT CHOICE!!!! Husband could not keep his hands off me!!!! Thought we were going to be asked to leave!!! He was constantly nibbling my neck telling me how wonderful I smelled... This is my new "date night" perfume!!! This is the scent of marital consumation!!!!! WOW!!! all from my beloved patchouli!!! but what I don't smell is the lemon or the apple... oh well... when it gets this reaction... WHO CARES!!!

so... I got a hint of the mint in this, but not the overpowering mint so many have described... the citrus and floral come out much more but the mint hangs on enough to keep this from being the typically feminine blends that I try to avoid... I LOVE this scent and can't wait until its available so I can BATHE in it... those of you who don't like it can send me your imps... I will happily trade or buy them!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Truly the scent of autumn itself -- damp woods, fir needle, and black patchouli with the gentlest touches of warm pumpkin, clove, nutmeg, allspice, sweet red apple and mullein. So... I must be a suck reviewer but I'm going to give it my shot anyway... I got my Samhain (2004) in the mail yesterday and I really LOVE this scent... on me, its warm spiced apple cider... and the smell of the plate you just ate pumpkin pie off of... mostly spicy apple... just a hint of the other things in the description... but soooooo yummy and comforting... definatley a good one for fall... I was disappointed to not get this in time for Samhain but once I smelled it it didn't really matter b/c this was NOTHING like a Samhain smell for me... this is the fall carnival... homecoming... or someother occassion to hang out in the changing leaves in a favorite scarf and sweater (which I can only imagine doing as its still in the 70-80 range during the day here...) I really like this one!!! And the hubby does too...

I got this as a freebie with the Halloween LE's (thanks LabGang!!!) I liked this scent but am not as in love with it as I want to be... in the bottle it smells very delicate and feminie... like Sudha Segara's distant spicy cousin... But on me... the juniper comes out strong and it has that gin smell for a long time... As it fades its nicer... spicy but soft and feminine... but then its gone... I don't think I could wear this one much becuase the gin smell is frowned upon at my work (I'm a teacher!!) Nice blend though... maybe for the casa rather than the body

Sexy, Smutty, Seductive, Provocative... It's All in Here

I got a nice reaction from the hubby with Sudha Segara... and will probably be needing a big bottle of it in the next order... so far he hasn't liked anything else... Sin and Vixen are "too patchouli" and apparently I smell like everyones grandmother weating Vixen... which is decidedly NOT the reaction I was hoping for... I think i must have weird chemistry or something... going to try scherazade though... thanks for the story Beth! -
my first review: My vixen is not like your vixen... to my nose... there's no ginger here... and I definately don't smell the orange... When I sniffed the bottle... and while it was wet on my skin... I HATED it... very sharp, pungent... not at all sexy... My husband smelled the patchouli... and that's ALL he smells... Later... it softens...very warm, vanilla... lots of vanilla... sexy and comforting... I love it and could wear it all the time... unfortunately... everyone ELSE seems to hate it... I've been told that it smells "like patchouli" (the hubby who hates patchouli); "like an old lady's perfume" and "like perfume that you get at a garage sale that's past its prime"... (don't worry Beth... I didn't tell them what it was!!!) I can only guess that its doing something with my chemistry that my nose doesn't smell... Oh well... guess I'll have to keep looking... damn,,, gotta buy more!!!!!!

So... being new to this... I don't understand these two terms that you non-newbies (could never call anyone an old-timer!!) toss around with abandon... so... what is decanting? what does it mean when something is "tarted"??

The accent should be on the second to last syllable: Mah-sah-BAH-kehs Multisyllabic Spanish words are always accented on the second-to-last syllable, unless an accented vowel (é, í, etc.) appears elsewhere in the word. actually... that's only true if the word ends in a vowel, an "n" or an "s" (which covers 99% of the language... Sorry... Spanish teacher... can't help myself
