I recently found Alice on a whim (2015 and 2020) after thinking that it was Not For Me (TM), and gosh, it’s so freaking good. As I told my bff, I smell like a sexy cigar/Vegas casino floor. I’m getting mostly Bergamot from this, and honeyed carnation. The Rose/milk is not as noticeable to my nose, and I’m a rose fiend. It really smells like a really good cuppa and a whiff of sweet pipe smoke *something* that’s really lovely and kinda takes it from feminine to neutral. I’m planning to get the perfume after smelling this, and so is my mom and dad 😅

This is a Winter 2020 blind bottle for me. I didn’t even read any reviews first, I just went with “I like rose scents”. I was disappointed for about half a day when it arrived, thinking it smelled like absolutely nothing. Upon it warming up and hitting my skin-LOVE. I think I can agree with elbow when I sense the overwhelming greenness of this scent. For me, though, it’s more of a spring anticipation-of-roses-to-come than a clinically perfect rose. I enjoy it for the green bushy-ness of the scent, making me think of rose bushes in the back of your car, going home with you to be planted in your garden, not yet blooming but bursting with potential. It will definitely be a favorite, and I may need a backup bottle.
