This is a well-blended ethereal raspberry cloud! I can pick out the tartness from the blackberry and the sweetness of the raspberry, but it's hiding within that cloud of light resins and chypre. I don't normally enjoy resins or chypre, but these are subtle. Not too woody or incense-like. The myrrh is leaning more stone than earth. Again, very subtle. There's a faint hint of citrus at first, which could be the chypre because it's not woody at all. That hint disappears on the skin. It's sweet in the bottle, but I basically end up with a light & dry mysterious raspberry resin on the skin. It reminds me of a less complicated version of Elf Mutiny. I like this 10x better!

My brain just registered plastic + strawberry cough syrup in the bottle. It didn't really change on my skin. The label was lovely though!

I am a BPAL foodie collector. I love the idea of the BPAL Sufganiyot scents, but every time I get my hands on one, I end up passing them along because the fried pastry part of them is just too much for me. I amp the fried note. That said, I love Dorian Suf! I even like it better than The Serpentine and OG Dorian! I'm not giving it the credit it deserves, but it comes across as a slightly sweeter Dorian with a creamy vanilla edge. It's so good!

I amp Apple and Roses, so that's basically what I get. Sweet Apple Rose. The thing is, it's so darn good. I have many Apple blends, but 🍎 plus 🌹 is now a necessity. It reminds me of Apple Sugar from a previous release, plus a light but sharp red rose scent (if that makes any sense?). It is very potent. A little goes a long way!

I took a chance on this one because I don't really like jasmine or a strong amber. "White" scents tend to give me a headache or make me feel like swooning in a bad way. I'm a sucker for vanilla & almond though (and liked reading Tomie). Anyways, this is incredible! It is literally as described. It is so well blended and beautiful. It does have a perfume-y-ness to it. I can't really pin down the rose because my brain assumed I should be smelling a red rose, but it could be a white rose mixed up with the floral vibe. I think it's the almond flower and bourbon vanilla giving it the dark edge far in the background. Like a hint of poison. No humidity for me. A very very slight sweetness though. I don't say this often, but this is a work of art. I would describe this as luminous, mysterious and expensive.

There's something about this that reminds me of Aunt Caroline's Mojo - but spicy! 🔥 I can sort of pick out all the notes but the cloves, cherry and musk are prevalent. The poppy brings up second tier. It's really well- blended. The only note that I can't quite make out is vanilla. It doesn't go to powder on me, so I'm very happy about that. Also, very potent. A little goes a long way! Vampiric indeed. 🍒 🦇

You wouldn't walk by and know that I was wearing a raspberry scent (I blind bottled it for the raspberry and tobacco) - but - it is worth completely worth it for the mystery it presents. I can't pick out the tobacco yet (I tried it the moment it arrived, so resting may change this). The raspberry, labdanum and benzoin seem to be equally balanced to my nose and the carnation give a very tiny hint of that peppery zing. This is a dry scent. If I assigned it a colour it'd be dusty rose. There's an edge to it that feeds my emo heart. It's very unique and mysterious. I slot scents in my head by vibe. Even though Elf Mutiny doesn't share too many notes with To A Wreath of Snow (in my top 3 favs), it has that ethereal yearning vibe that TAWOS has. If you're anything like me, you needs it!

First impression out of the mailbox (and on the skin): Dr.Pepper + plus marshmallow. I think. That's where my thoughts went. I'm sure it'll age well into something more nuanced. Anyways, it's fascinating. Took a chance as I'm not a huge patch fan. I'm really glad I got a bottle.

This is a slightly effervescent marshmallow with a hint of lemon on me. I guess what is reading as fuzzy to others, reads as (distant) fizzy bubbles to me. Body chemistry is weird. It is very pretty but does seem to disappear on my skin quickly. I am very grateful to have been able to try it, but, I am even more grateful with the new-found knowledge that I don't need a bottle with the cost that it is nowadays!

And Though They Are With You Yet They Belong Not To You

At first, I couldn't catch the sandalwood in this blend. Months and months later I tried it again to find the most beautiful mix of (ever so slightly spicy) sandalwood and vanilla. It wears close to the skin and is a perfect scent for all. -
The cool/fresh in this reminds me of Black Ice Sleeper. It's a very cool but bright cranberry scent with not much skin musk. I think I'll set it aside for a bit longer to see if the skin musk comes through more in strength. BTW: I live in a very cold place - so - it's probably still in a sort of mail shock!

This is going to sound bizarre, but, it smells like the following: a heady rich red rose with a slight hint of green stems, a whisper of powder (how amber plays on my skin sometimes) and a touch of purple grapes. That's right! 🟣 It's pretty great though.

2021 decant: I put this on today, not remembering what the notes were and am very surprised at what I smell vs what I should smell (according to the notes listed). Don't get me wrong, it's very lovely, but, all powder on me. I don't notice the lavender at all. I do amp amber into powdery smells sometimes. It's a sweet amber powder with a tiny hint of something dusty in the background. It would be fabulous for layering.

It's like a perfect blend of Bliss and Beaver Moon 2019. I don't really detect the cardamom (which I've come to realize is not really a scent for me, so I am glad). Even though I have a number of chocolate/cocoa scents, this is a unique enough scent that I am pleased with this blind-purchase.

Wow! This is now my ultimate favorite chocolate BPAL. The chocolate is dark, dry and decadent. The hazelnut is there, but not overpowering. I don't actually get much of a cake or creamy experience with this, but, it's sweet enough that it's clearly foodie.

It's probably a chemistry thing, but, I get an overwhelming skin musk + lemon. Even in the bottle. Hoping it will evolve over time.

I've never smelled the original, Dodo, but this is delightful. Something about the mango and lemon comes across as floral. Maybe it's the agarwood. Supposedly agarwood can smell floral. Basically, you've got to love apples and florals to like this one. At first, it's a bright, sweet apple-floral-pink musk situation. Perfume-y, with good throw. After some time, the apple takes a small step back and the sandalwood comes forward. I don't really detect the cassia. I'm sure time will bring the woodsy bits forward.

I was desperate for some plum-y lace! It's great, but, it basically dries as a dusty plum oudh. I don't get any cognac or vanilla. Thankful for the tester, but, that purple oudh vibe that I get here can be scratched by others in my collection (Arlecchina, Blackberry & Oudh, etc.)
-
A beautiful white rose scent with a barely there herbal or green undertone that you could wear to work. What's really wonderful about this is that it does the job it states...ever single time I wear it!
-
In the bottle, it makes me think of some sort of apple-scented cleaning product. It's very bright and strong. I agree with another who say there is some sort of hint of guava in there. On the skin, that astringent cleaning scent goes away and leaves behind an iced (not petricor) apple smell. There's no sweetness to it for me.

This starts off smelling a lot like Jumbles (a rich butter cookie rolled in sugar and spice), then ends smelling a lot like Antique Lace (without the lace part). So comforting! Jumbles from an old cookbook called, The Cook Not Mad, 1831: Half a pound of butter, half a pound of sugar, three quarters of a pound of flour, two eggs, rolled in sugar and nutmeg; to be dropped on tins to bake.

Straight out of the cold (mailbox), this is gorgeous. At the moment the oud is the star, but I can easily catch the cacao in every sniff. The oud has a floral vibe to it. I can't wait to test it again after it ages!
-
I can tell this is going to age splendidly. I do get the same hit of something floral at first, but, it calms down and becomes a subtle sexy red musk. I don't detect the pumpkin, but something is giving the red musk a bit of creaminess. I think everyone who likes red musk should get a bottle for the journey it will take you on!

This is delightful! Not too sweet, no powder....just a light opium perfume with a hint of lavender. There is a distant touch of something aquatic or petricor-like.
