    Slowly She Turned

Wet its a juicy burst of ambery mandarin followed by a bright peppercorn. My brain really wants to compare this to someting like a fizzy candied ginger. As it dries down the peppercorn is amped up a bit and I get the scorching (but not the rose), leaving in the background a lovely warm comfy mandarin. But behind this warm and glowy embrace there is something... dark? I have no idea what the hint of decay is made of, but it sure gives and ominous vibe to this one and I love it.

    Moroccan Pumpkin

Warm and soft buttery spices and a lovely sandalwood, with a touch of pumpkin rind to it. Wearing it feels so cosy, it's perfect for this time of the year when days are getting shorter and colder. Medium throw and very long wear.

    Roses, Pearls, and Sapphires

In the bottle: Blueberries!!! lots of blueberries and lavender Wet: The lavender takes the front stage, it's a soft and velvety, not herbaceous lavender. I can still get the blueberries and the musk is also very soft. Dry: My skin amps up the musk (as always) and the coconut husk. It's really the husk and not the flesh of the coconut, getting us aways from sunscreen territories. It makes me feel like: I am in a liminal space vaporwave album cover. With a single frog swimming in an infinite pool made of marble.

Her Mouth is Sinister and Red

Like Fletchkat, I expected this one to be loud and heavy on the rose, but was surprised on the first sniff when I got something very soft, feminine, pale and floral. It stays quite close to the skin, always subtle, almost a whisper even after only 15 minutes . I can see this one turning soapy/powdery for some folks, and I'm lucky my skin chemistry works well with it. After a couple of hours there is a slight tanginess (or bitterness? I am not sure I can find the exact right word to describe it). But it is very faint and I must say I find it quite pleasant, a nice surprise after the initial bouquet. It's not an extravagant perfume, it's one to wear when you want to wear a scent just for yourself.

Dead Leaves and Molasses Pumpkin Cookies

In the bottle there is the cookie dough, and you are the oven. This one is a bit sweet but not overly foodie, just perfect for what I like to wear. At first there is some sharpness from the dead leaves, but soon you get the wonderful comforting smell of cookies rounded by the molasses and after a couple of minutes I get the pumpkin. It's one of the few perfumes where I can find all the notes, so it's not a complex one but it is absolutely lovely and is exactly what I hoped for!

    Samhain

Samhain 2021 It's the first time I try Samhain, and the more I wear it the more I am in love with it. Wet it's all dark damp woods, and as it dries down I get more of the spices. They are not overwhelming at all, and the sweetness of the apple is just enough to brighten up the mood just a tiny bit without killing the mysterious vibe. After an hour or so it morphs into creamy/velvety mellow spices (maybe it's with the help of the black patchouli?), it's softer but not losing any of its personality. I will definitively buy another one, I just can't stop reaching for it!

    Winds of Autumn

In the bottle and wet it's all bonfire smoke and charred cedar, they clearly are taking the lead. After 5 minutes the apple pop-up with a happy hello for some good time in the woods with the smoke, leaves and burnt wood, joined some time later by the cinnamon, a bit shy at the beginning but it gets stronger after a while. After a couple of hours the smoke is slowly drifting away and the apple and cinnamon sticks floats around you, a little bit like a nice and comforting cup of mulled apple cider. I love that it smell 100% apple peel, almost no flesh, just the skin of the apple. This is wonderful and the mix of fruits + woods is one of my favorite combinaison, so I am very happy about this one!

    Ouija

Wispy, ethereal pale pastel flowers. Close to skin, yet feels like wearing a light and sheer gown on a sunny sunday in the winter afternoon. I reach a lot for this one when I feel like wearing something soft and subtle yet evocative.

    Partridges in the Snow

Warm, woody and cosy, a perfect scent for winter. It feels like if you come home in your tiny cabin in the woods after a long January day spent outside having fun in the snow. You warm your frosted face and fingers by the fireplace while something sweet is slowly cooking. Wet, I get a strong mix of the oak bark, sawdust and basalm, and as it dries the warmth of the roasted chestnut hug me, the white sandalwood gently peeking through with a hint of juniper. Very long wear, I can still smell a faint sweet and woodsy scent on me the next day.

    Wheatstacks, Snow Effect, Morning

Soft and delicate peaches, hay and a warm cup of rooibos, this is a beautifully calm and peaceful scent. I love when fruits and musk come together, the result is a playful dance between the two of them (but I must say my skin is doing wonders with anything with musk in it). Stays close to the skin and wear length is good.
