I agree with the association with Sea of Glass. They share a certain fruitiness, but the Storm almost seems to have a white amber aspect overlaying it. I prefer Sea of Glass but wonder if aging this will make a difference.

I'm getting very little pink/flowery/fruitiness from this. It's basically the tiniest amount of strawberry in the very beginning layered over Flickering Lights, Fluttering Curtains, which is likewise too chalky and vague for me. Alas.

I tend to avoid florals, but I feel like this doesn't even count as a floral. It reminds me so much of Astrid's Confectioner's Sugar, with a hint of floral. Delicious!

I love this scent—far more than I thought I would and far more than I did at first sniff. At first, the vetiver makes it slightly overwhelming, but then it just lends a backbone to an amazing vanilla coconut that seems to get stronger the longer I have it on. It lasts overnight for me, and while I love the drydown better than the wet stage, I've learned to love all parts of the journey.

I did not like this at first. It has the sickly sweet quality I got from NAVA's Lait and Alkemia's Foxfire/Ghostfire in the wet stage. As it dries, it's becoming more powdery, creamy, and subtly perfumey. My instant revulsion to the wet stage motivated me to stick it on my destash in a knee-jerk reaction, but now I'm waffling. Not sure I can handle the wet stage, so we'll see what fate decides. Edit: okay, interestingly, I think I’m getting a hint of clove here, and it’s the kind of clove I like, which I’ve only ever experienced with NAVA’s lait de epices on the long drydown. I don’t think I need both, but I’m liking this a lot more now, even if I’m imagining the clove.

This starts out smelling a little like baby powder. The eventual drydown does remind me a lot of The Girl, but I'm going to need to test this a few more times before I decide whether I can deal with that opening! Follow-up: The baby powder smell ended up edging a little too close to "the smell that baby powder is covering up" territory. Destashed.

This kind of made me sick to my stomach when I first tried it, the way a lot of gourmand Possets perfumes do. Days later, it's much more bearable, but I'm still not a fan of the bread pudding mixed with strawberry. There's a buttery, dense, almost savory aspect to it that's just not agreeing with me. It might be my imagination, but hours into the drydown, it leaves an almost lace-like vanilla, like Daybreak and many others do. I'm definitely fine with that part but not willing to go through the stages that have the actual scent notes.

This starts out smelling like straight patchouli and gingerbread, then fades fairly quickly until only a whisper of incensy, non-indolic oud remains with a vague spiciness. Granted, I tried this one on my hand, so that probably affects longevity. It's pleasant, but not really my jam.

Man, blackberries have a habit of going unpleasantly musky on me, but the apple is perfect for adding a light crispness to the scent. In fact, I'm hoping the next sufganiyot is just baked apples, because that aspect is my favorite and is strongest when first applied—and I have yet to actually like an apple scent, so that's kind of amazing to me. Then the apple aspect slowly fades away, leaving a slightly musky, almost indiscernibly scented sufganiyot, but I'm not mad. I haven't liked a suf this much since pomegranate, and I might even like it more (with Fig and Cranberry, Raspberry, and Strawberry being my top three at this point)! I'm getting a couple of these bottles for sure (currently three are sitting in my cart).

I... am confused about this scent. Maybe I even got something mis-filled by Ajevie? Because this smells like a sweet, fruity, almost rhubarb-y scent to me. No weed. Maybe a touch of chocolate. I might edit this later of something changes.

Overwhelmingly lemongrassy for me, with a slight creaminess. Unfortunately not a fan.

It seemed to take a month or so for all the notes to settle on my skin, but I agree with asterope that this has some serious Pediophobia vibes. It doesn't seem to be as strong or lingering, maybe slightly less nuanced, but it is definitely similar enough to give people who missed out on Pediophobia a current alternative! I'm keeping both scents because I love this combination.

I'm so jealous of the nuances everyone else seems to be getting. This is all champaca all the time for me.

Blueberries, Cream, & Cardamom
daemonrabbit replied to zankoku_zen's topic in Duets & Menage A Trois
I got a sample of this, and in the vial, it’s amazing. Super realistic blueberry, sweet and tart at the same time. As soon as it hits my skin, the cardamom takes over, and that realistic blueberry vanishes with a slight fake-fruit trace, though it’s still fairly pleasant, but eventually something happens to the scent that makes me feel queasy. I had such high hopes, but it’s probably for the best to not like something that’s so hard to find! -
I'm in full agreement with LdyKnight. I'll add that the fake sweetness reminds me of Bath and Body Works lotions that would give me headaches and make me a little nauseous.

I don't get a lot of jasmine from this at first. It starts out smelling like slightly sweet cigarette smoke. I did not like it at this stage and was prepared to give up. But when dry I think I'm mostly getting the sweet vetiver with a touch of jasmine, and it. Is. Amazing. The smell sticks to the collar of my sleep shirt and I love getting whiffs of it. It feels unisex to me. I full sized this.
