Rose Recommendations - which blend is for me?

A quick search turned up this: In other words it looks like they just use plain ole rose essential oil. I'd go for the purest rose scent you can. Zombie (all rose on me, but I tend to amp it), Whip, Persephone, Harlot, or Two, Five & Seven, perhaps?

Autumn Scents - recommend the ones you love

Ohhhh Shub sounds deliciously spicy.I couldn't find Cockaigne though. What section is that one under? Wanderlust, down at the bottom.

    Cyberpunk scents?

I haven't tried Kataniya, so, NO idea on that one. I think that Black Opal might work well though. It's a very nice vanilla, with whatever it is that makes it smell like a freakin' rock. In other words it's familiar, but in a strange and unexpected way. I don't know, that any of that made sense, but seriously, try it.

Pumpkin V, it's the only one of all the fall scents I've tried that really says "comfy fall spice" to me.

    Recommending a BPAL pumpkin blend...

Sorry, I was getting III and V confused. V is my favorite, while III got swapped immediately.

    Recommending a BPAL pumpkin blend...

Pumpkin I - fresh juicy grapes, yum Pumpkin II - nice carnation note, but nothing to write home about Pumpkin III - divine, lovely fall spice, and I've tried alot of the lab's older fall scents, this is my absolute favorite. Pumpkin IV - was interesting, I live in the desert and this definitely got that feel right, it smells very nice Pumpkin V - bad bad butter note, too foody for me Overall, III is my favorite, with I and IV trailing behind.

Hunting for the ultimate _____ blend

I FINALLY found my ultimate coconut - RED LANTERN!!! It's all the wonderful light juicyness with out any bitter husk or nuttiness. TereFaerie, for an everyday jasmine you should look into Crossroads and The Caterpillar. The Caterpillar is dryer and more herby. Also The Apothecary may work if you like Crossroads.

    Pronouncing "BPAL" and scent names!

My friend and I call it Aeaeaeaeaeaeaea, because it's fun to make lost of vowel sounds in quick succesion. I also call Schlafende Baigneuse "Schnafelapagus". Hope that helps!

The Musk Thread! Need to know what type is for you?

Smut is beyond compare, and really not that difficult to find, especially since we're (I am at least) expecting a rerelease next Lupercalia. I managed to score myself a cheap bottle without a problem. It really is worth a try as there's nothing that quite lives up to it.

BPAL Fruit Blends - the many variations

I haven't personally tried it yet, but Imp is peach with amber and golden musk - might be perfect for your resiny tastes. Ooo........ I like musk........

BPAL Fruit Blends - the many variations

Is there anything that does for peach what The Hespirides does for apple (ie. a soft understated fruit and not much else)? I'm just starting to like peach but I don't want to be overwhelmed with sweetness.

    Aquatics

Aquatics and I have a strange relationship. There was only one aquatic perfume I ever wore, can't remember the name of it now, but I wore it alot in high school. When I got into BPAL I thought I'd try an aquatic, bad, just bad......... So I swore off aquatics. Then The Deep Ones surprised me. My friend got me to try it one and I LOVE it. I think it's the salt, and lack of ozone. It smells just like the ocean. Are there any other salty aquatics that don't have ozone? I need to try them.........

Severin is ten kinds of wonderful for Earl Grey lovers, although it does smell more like cold Earl Grey than warm.

Oil recommendations for studying, learning, exams

I'm resurrecting this thread because this is something I need recs for. I've found that Clio really helps alot. I think it's the lavendar calming me down a bit, as I tend to get antsy and anxious when I sit down to do my homework. I'm going to need something that keeps me awake as well as calming me down, but I have NO idea where to start there. Maybe i should just super-caffinate myself when I wear Clio.

BPAL scents appropriate for very young children?

The other day my three year old came to watch me try on scents and sniffed her wrist mimicking me smelling Shadwell. I figured Shadwell's mellow enough for her. So I put a bit on her neck (I didn't want her to try to lick it off or something ), then she ran away giggling up a storm..........I think she liked it.

Hunting for the ultimate _____ blend

Juke Joint, on me at least smells entirely like bourbon for the first few minutes, but as it starts warming up it smells just like nuzzling into a warm boy's chest and getting really comfy. Doc Constantine, while nice for men, was mostly woody, and not what I think of in sexy men's scents. Theodosius on the other hand I want to find and pounce!
  17. My best friend swears by Loup Garou, and I think she said there was some eucalyptus in it. I could be entirely wrong. The warm and piney fits Loup though.

Hunting for the ultimate _____ blend

I get indifference and claims of allergies. He swears that there's "something" in all the scents, some common note that he's allergic to. I think it's just something in the air right now, and he's jumping on the perfume. Lesee......... Crowley Aziraphale Dee Juke Joint Theodosios Wulric for starters. :)

Hunting for the ultimate _____ blend

Misk U has that dusty parchment/paper note, though it doesn't come out as clearly on everyone. Some people tend to amp the Irish coffee and/or the oak more. Yeah, my skin does very bad things to Misk U, it was the first scent I had to wash off immediately. Smells great on my friend though, so at least I know how it SHOULD smell.

Hunting for the ultimate _____ blend

I recently fell in love with the lab's dusty/paper note. Eshe, Aziraphale, and Clio are all lovely (but all in very different ways). Are there any other scents with this note?

Rose Cross or Hymn maybe? I haven't tried either of them, but they sound like what you're looking for.

    Scent for Halloween?

For my Mother-in-Law's birthday dinner I wore Dia De Los Muertos '06. It was perfect for a night of Italian food and good conversation.

Try Lyonesse, it's very light vanilla, not too sweet, just lovely. My husband even likes it he thought Antique Lace was too strong too.

Hunting for the ultimate _____ blend

Update: Still searching for a coconut blend. I didn't like the toasted quality of the coconut in Eden, and Obatala's shea butter added a nuttiness that I didn't enjoy. I really just want a coconut meat/milk scent, so......still looking........

Looking for a BPAL that Resembles a Favorite Perfume

I've been on the look out for dirt scents as well and recently tried some forum suggestions. Depraved came out surprisingly like wet soil. I totally it. Envy has alot of green mossy notes and is probably my favorite mossy scent. I've also tried Nosferatu, and while being kinda dirty it was surprisingly clean and lovely, and not what I'll wear when I want to smell like dirt but I love it anyway. Other forum suggestions for dirt that I have yet to try are Penny Dreadful, Death Cap, Deatroying Angel, and Jazz Funeral. There were some LE suggestions too, but I ignored those as I don't own a money tree yet. Hope that helps, trying things and being pleasantly surprised is the best part about BPAL.
