Tested this from my blind-bottle since I know people are going to be looking for opinions: The "snow-laden" had me wondering if it would have any of the snow note, and I do believe I can catch it while the scent is wet, a kind of bracing element to the first inhale that continues to linger and help differentiate the floral notes. The peony and rose are very light (white, tonally) florals that play nicely together in the nose, they don't over power one another and it's definitely not a stereotypical rose. the dark plum comes in at the end, the breath after the sniff almost! I find it to be really inviting overall as a scent, androgynous and professional among the more bodacious shungas.

Though I still wish the pomegranate and plum were a bit wetter and more present, this perfume gives the incredible impression of being someone who wears a lot of expensive, high quality make-up (particularly lipstick) without having to do any make-up at all! It has a lovely, high-femme lean and would be a great addition to any date-night kit.

This is so sad, but also very non-characteristic of the imp and full-size i ordered. Maybe you got a particularly watery batch, or a poor mix? I would honestly message BPAL if you have the energy, they might be willing to send you another bottle.

I'm in agreement with VioletChaos on the contributions of the oakmoss and the mandarin below this lovely fruity red wine central note. The booziness of the wine note is well controlled, these are definitely fermented fruits but without any unpleasant astringency. I hope the sweetness folds in a bit more by winter but as is it makes a lovely spring-y sangria scent that would be just as suited to daytime as night.

I grabbed a 0.5mL of this from Ajevie to get into the Blow Molds and see how I jive with the "plastic" note. I had no idea this would be so... clean and gentle and fresh smelling! Something about the bright and clean lemon + amber combined with the frankincense & myrrh makes me feel like this is how an angel would smell if they were disguised as a human. just a like, very tiny touch at the edges of the scent of something really ancient and holy. I completely agree with Failmingo that it has a very "uplifting" aspect to it that is intoxicating. I've never slathered something like I am with this, and I have already added a Full Size to my order, depending on how much is left when it's time for Yules to come down, this could be my very first scent to earn a back-up bottle.

Pumpkin Spice Dark 'n Stormy - Here are my fresh from the mailbox goblin impressions. For context, I don't consider myself a "pumpkin spice" person, I like the spice profile but don't tend to go all out on it yearly, but I was intrigued by this enough to blind buy! Immediately, I am in LOVE with how the sour lime and full spicy rum are balancing out the sweet fizziness of the ginger beer. All of the promised notes are present and robust. Right out the bottle you can smell a sweet smoky molasses-like note, popping into a carbonated middle range ginger beer soda note and ending with the lime trail. I can tell I'm going to be reaching for this a LOT this fall for grocery runs and walks. I can definitely smell the spices in the overall profile, but I don't feel like I'm wearing "that smell" bottled, it does come off as its own complex lovely scent. It also could tempt some people who prefer a more masculine scent profile but want to do something seasonal, it walks a really nice unisex line.

Wet - Subdued and low-profile, can get a small impression of the porcelain and florals at this state but just barely. Drying - Curiously, a wet edge seems to come over the scent as it dries, pulling the porcelain smell out in to the air over the peony and rose. Lies very close to the skin, but has a lovely classy feel and is mature and older-fashioned without being out of date My partner likened this to a perfume their grandmother would have worn and I can see what they mean. Thanks to the low-throw and simple notes, I can definitely see this appealing to someone looking for a peony-rose ONLY floral with a twist, the porcelain adds a fantastic dusty airiness that I'm enjoying immensely.

Kusunoki Tamonmaru Masatsura Surprising a Fox Ghost
wodnesse replied to Invidiana's topic in Limited Editions
Have recently started collecting BPAL again, picked up this scent for some personal associations it has with some creative writing I'm doing and it has been such a joy for regular wear. The florals float on an aquatic background, with just the hint of warmth from myrrh to really bolster the florals. As it fades down to a more subdued aquatic musk I like to dab on a green/herbal scent like Entangled or Boy with Goat in Landscape to give a kind of aquagarden second wind
