Seventh is Sjofn. She is much concerned to direct people’s minds to love, both women and men. Our song to the Norse Goddess of Love is scented with apples and birch and bound with apple blossoms. Soapy cherry blossoms. The tiiiiiiniest tinge of apple underneath, but this is just so soapy on me.

In Hermetic alchemy, brimstone is one of the Three Heavenly Substances, one of the primary alchemical Priciples. It represents the strength of will and the vigor of passion, and it is a symbol of the process of fermentation. A smoky, gritty blend, husky and gray. Spicy, smoky, headshoppy. Definitely smells like fire in a sort of round about way, like coals that are still smoldering which i guess is the point! Will use up my imp. I feel like this could smell soooooooo sexy on a man so this will be added to the pile of things i’m forcing the boy to try, lol.

Mmmmmm….. cookies, buttery and warm, smothered in a lavender buttercream frosting. perfect for sleep, because its light and comforting.

Nope nope nope NOPE I am NOT a jasmine person apparently!!!! god this was straight cat-pee covered up by an over bearing floral mainstream perfume. so sad :((((

Blast of leather and lavender- it’ll clear your sinuses thats for sure! This actually ends up being a gorgeous creamy lavender-hops scent. I smell something deep down thats almost…. blanket-y. like putting on a warm sweater after your boyfriend wore it under a leather jacket after he got a massage from one of those fancy-med spas where they rub you down with lavender oil. Safety in a bottle. My boyfriend loved it but its not something I see myself wearing enough to justify hanging onto my fullsize bottle, so i had to pass it along to someone else ;( i’ll probably hunt down a decant or something

I sold this off almost immediately because something in it was giving me a combo headache and sneeze-attack every time i put it on! It’s not the porcelain note because i’m pretty sure i’ve sampled other porcelain notes before (i believe cat with vase has it?). The bright strawberry and carnation is gorgeous, it bloomed on the skin, but after testing it a couple of times i realised it was THIS that was giving me troubles lol. so disappointed as it was truly beautiful

I love this. Sunny slices of lemon floating in a base of patchouli, allspice maybe (?) vanilla and barrel-aged whiskey. For some reason the association in my brain is Love My Way by the Psychedelic Furs? It just smells like something a 70’s witch would wear. Lovely! It’s super strong and has a good wear time. I wore it all day and to bed, and could still smell it when I went to sleep. I was also told I smelled sexy by a very close friend of mine with a notoriously hard to please nose! Overall 10’s in my book.

I always wanna bite my arm when I wear this. I really like the bright blackberry jelly note. I really don’t get much apple, but the pastry definitely is rounding/ softening the blackberry!

This starts off with a really lovely buttercream-y vibe. It’s definitely recognisable as dorian. It’s like a cup of tea next to a beautiful vanilla cake with layers upon layers of lemony frosting, with the tiniest hint of musk to warm it up.

This is just straight up leather and. something sharp and indolic. it fades into something prettier after the initial blast but remains mostly leather and floral.

Slightly salty caramel smothering OG antique lace. Very faint and soft but nice longevity. Will be buying several backup bottles to age and hoard....

SO MUCH LEATHER. I don't know that I like it. Snake oil is twisting around under it somewhere. I just kind of smell.... airport.

Soft, warm, chai-y vanilla. There's a creaminess that I have come to associate with the lab's marshmallow note but is probably helped along by the goats milk. Soft, low throw but long weartime.

Do you like dirt? Do you like leaves? Do you like these two things together? That's this. Imagine you just had sex with a very sophisticated goth older man (possibly a vampire, to second FloridaFledgling) in a very old crypt full of leaves and dust mites swirling through autumn air. There is no sweetness in this mix and the leaves actually lean a little greener than I originally thought they would. It's been a total standout in my weenie order so far.

Yummy. I've got a fetish for cool vanilla. this is a gentle, cold vanilla with soft little trails of florals. Not powdery on me, but very ethereal.

This is a melancholy, grey scent. it’s smooth and beautiful, very adult, very pretty, very alluring. the throw is good, the sillage too. it’s perfect for a day where i’m feeling empty inside despite the happy external circumstances.

I don’t know why i never reviewed this! I have a tiny sample, and i don’t know if its age or the fact that it was decanted or what but i don’t think mine smells the same as everyone elses! On me this is just kind of lemony vanilla powder. Maybe i’m anosmic, but i generally love marshmallow scents from the lab so i don’t know. It’s not super creamy or marshmallowy, just kind of. vaguely sweet sugar smell :((

This is such a sadly weak scent. It seems like it would smell incredible if it were just a tad stronger. I get no tea, no crunchy leaf scent. Just a soft maple scent, like i spilled a little syrup on my hand an hour ago and washed it off but the tiny scent trails are lingering. So SAD!!!!!

Soft, pretty and wistful. A gentle scent that really encapsulates the painting. The silk accord is kind of effervescent, but the scent overall is not pitchy or harsh. The tea rose really fades quickly but the tea and silk stick around for about 4 ish hours at full strength and then really fade. This is a little girl’s antique doll- well loved and passed down through generations, in a little silk dress her great-grandmother hand sewed.

GET THEE AWAY FROM ME SATAN!!!!!! Eugh something about this just smells like vomit and garbage on me. I think it’s the mix of vetiver and horseradish bc wtf. Actually made me gag and i had to scrub it- it could also be the orange flower which just goes dusty old smoker lady on me. EUGH. On my mom though, this is just kind of a grassy patch with some sharper bits. Weird!!!!

I’m getting something entirely different than everyone else in this thread and I find that delightful!! I love this one- maybe not on me, but definitely still love it. I originally wrote this off as just tobacco and not super complex- but testing it again helped me change my mind on it. This is a smooth, warm, rich tobacco. I don’t get the vanilla until well into the wear, and even then it’s super faint. But it’s sexy and complex in a way only older men can be, it’s sophisticated with a little dark twist. Lasts a long time, and the people near me sniffed as i walked past and ask what i was wearing which i always count as a win!!!! -
stand on the beach and watch a huge storm roll in. remember how tiny you are in comparison to the universe and draw your cardigan closer to your skin, feel the hair on your neck stand on end. lightning on the horizon leaves spots in your vision. that’s the smell of this hair gloss- weirdly beachy (i think perhaps it’s the aquatics) and it really smells exactly like watching a storm roll in on the beach- something most Floridians have probably experienced. i gotta get a whole bottle of this stuff because it’s absolutely fantastic.
