~~frimp review~~ on wet, it's very tree smelling, the pine and clove come through very clearly. the cumin also adds a bit of spice which I think is really nice (rhyme!). overall very darkly earthy and musky with a hint of spice which is very fitting. it's leaning very masculine. upon drying for around half an hour, it smells pretty similar. it calmed down as perfumes usually do, but the motif of spicy, dark woods is there. it's pretty nice, I definitely don't dislike it, but it's not one I'd reach for to wear on a normal day out.

~~frimp review~~ this is a very very interesting scent. there's a lot going on at once and it's hard to describe. it smells vaguely nature-y, but too much happening at once to classify this as a real outdoorsy smell, just one trying to be a lot of places all at once. it's very pine forward (but Winter Landscape, Rime does it better) followed by a kind of minty (eucalyptus?) smell, while still being predominantly woody. I'm trying to pick out the scent notes but I'm having a hard time doing so. on fresh, it's minty and woodsy in an artificial way. now dry, it smells nature-y in the same way, but nature-y in the way that a scented candle or speed sticks are. all I can really make out is the pine, bark, and some minty thing I guess that comes off rather masculine or cologne-like. it really just smells like a speed stick. super disappointed for what could've been. it's far from bad or gross, it's just very underwhelming and trying to be too much.

Stimulating Sassafras Strengthener

~~frimp review~~ straight up birch and root beer! I actually love birch beer so it's great to smell like it. I definitely sense bubbles as well. it's just sweet fresh birch beer. not sure if I'd like to actively smell like it, but it's definitely far from bad. maybe a good scent to wear to a birthday party or diner or arcade or something in that vein. now, dried, it's definitely way less sweet and in-your-face rootbeer. the incense comes through STRONG after just 10 minutes after application. it's mainly vanilla-y incense with a touch of the sassafras that made up the soda. it's very pleasant but I'm not super attached. -
~~frimp review~~ on right away, it is definitely the most beautiful smelling drying sheet. it's got that specific laundry detergent/dryer sheet/fabric softener-esque powdery chemically quality about it that I just can't describe fully but you know what I'm talking about. very florally and nice. the musk comes through after about a minute and they blend nicely with the rosey smell. soft, powdery, rosey, checked by the subtle musk. now after 20ish minutes, it's definitely powdery and rosey. smells like some powder you'd use after a shower as well as detergent. it's verryyy nice, I really do love it. this will be more of a bedtime wear rather than going out an about. this doesn't lean masculine or feminine to me, just kinda neutral since everyone washes (or should was) their laundry. after a day of doing chores, this smell is welcoming to me. it's great!

~~frimp review~~ right away, it comes out smelling like jasmine with a hint of other florals and rose in the background. smells like a nice botanical garden in spring when everything's bloomed. I can kinda smell a hint of vanilla, but not much else at the moment. it's kind of a granny smell currently, but that's the risk we floral scent lovers take. after drying, it smells mostly the same. the roses have come out more so the scent is mainly jasmine and rose together. I think I can smell a hint of the mahogany, which just adds to the outdoorsy garden smell. the vanilla makes it a tad sweet. I can't pick out anything else individually, but all the other notes are working out of sight and contributing in their own way to the overall scent. unfortunately it is a tad grandma-y, but definitely not as bad as some other BPAL florals (looking at YOU Water Rabbit). it's a nice spring scent.

~~frimp review~~ romantically cruel indeed. no need to beat around the bush, it's a very dirty, strong, and firey scent. on wet, it's completely dark and masculine, not a hint of sweetness in sight. it smells like something burning, or burnt, or like gasoline. I can't put this scent into words but it's almost chemically and alcoholic. it's so strange to me, especially since I'm one for sweet, fruity, and floral. after some time to settle on my hands, it's calmed down but the essence of the smell is still there: dark, evil, unsettling. the herballyness has come out a bit more but it doesn't do much for me at this point. I'm really glad I got to smell it because it is very very interesting. It's one of those scents you're not ~supposed~ to like the smell of, such as gasoline or smoke or rubbing alcohol. I don't really enjoy it, but it does have its place and people I'm sure.

~~frimp review~~ wow, right off the bat it's super foodie. it smells like licorice and rainbow cookies (which smell heavily like almonds but baked and super sweet [but BPAL almonds on me tend to turn very cherry so it's a cherry almond baked sweet]). these two scents are battling it out right now on my hand. now after a bit, it's gone lotiony. like straight up body lotion in the bathroom. the almond fell off a bit, I think i can still make out the vanilla(?), and I'm guessing the heliotrope and frankincense are responsible for this weird smell. it's so odd. I just can't explain it. lotion. this was in my birthday order that my boyfriend got me and he was delighted with this frimp as he Loves rainbow cookies. he was disappointed to learn it quickly lost its rainbow cookieness.

~~frimp review~~ as a pirate and sea shanty lover, this and wellerman have caught my attention. this is an exciting frimp to get to test the waters of piratey smells. on immediately fresh, it is very masculine. very woody and slightly salty. it morphs pretty quickly to spicy (kind of like those christmassy pinecones from craft stores) that I rather like. the wood is also still present. spicy and woody right now. now, after about half an hour, it has stayed mainly the same. spicy and woody and masculine. it's very nice and stays true to the inspiration

~~frimp review~~ wow. this is exactly what it says on the tin. so sensual and lustful! on wet, it smells very dark, sexy, and musky. I do sense hints of both Black Phoenix and Snake Oil as someone previously mentioned, and both already are pretty sexy but not focused on it as Lust is. it gradually becomes sweeter and a tad bit fruitier as it begins to dry. kind of reminiscent of Blood as well. they're all in the same genre. it has a huge throw currently and it is very powerful (even though I did slather a lot). just now as I'm writing this, my boyfriend thought I lit a candle after putting it on because he smelled it across the apartment! now, after 20 or so minutes, it has calmed down a TON. guess it finally got some. it's still musky but definitely not as much. it's a bit sweeter and fruity, most likely the ylang ylang coming through? don't fear, it's still very lusty and sensual and pleasant. it's a must if you like any of the scents I mentioned previously or if youre a patchouli or red musk fiend.

~~frimp review~~ on wet, it is a lovely lovely combo of lavender, chamomile and fennel. a slightly licorice-y smell with soothing lavender. so simple but so lovely. finocchio is one of my favorite veggies so i'm very biased. 20 mins later now dry, it's almost completely faded. I seriously ate this the hell up. I can only smell a trace of fennel. seems like i'll need to reapply if I want this to last, but it lasts long enough to smell as you fall asleep. this is a really really lovely scent. very unique and herbally and refreshing. total win, I love it.

~~frimp review~~ on wet, it smells super floraly and kind of incensey? I find I smell incense in a lot of bpal smells that don't have them on the notes but maybe I'm just silly. after a minute, it smells very soft, kind of like baby powder, probably from the mix of lily and sandalwood. 5 mins after application, the rose is coming through, and it's beautiful! angelic is a great work to describe it. after maybe 45 mins, it smells primarily of rose and a bit of sandalwood. it's super pleasant and faint now, and I'm happy since I love rose. despite all my praise, this is still super grandma perfume (like most bpal florals on me), but it is nice enough for me to overlook that. sometimes I just wanna smell like a grandma

oh no. nooooooooooouhhhhhhh. this scent makes me sad for what couldve been the lab accidentally sent me An Introduction to Illustrious Kabuki Actors in my order instead of Water Rabbit, which I actually like more. : ( in the bottle, it is just peonies and peonies and peonies. great for peony lovers and bad for people like me who find that bpal florals often turn them into a nonna. kind of the same deal when wet, its peonies over and over. the fruits kind of make an appearance, but they are background actors even though they make up a lot of the notes in this scent. after a bit (maybe like half an hour) it smells relatively the same. peonies on peonies with a HINT (and I mean HINT) of orangey citrus. I wish the lychee came through more, and I can't really pick out the pine or cypress, nor dragon's blood. it's really just soapy and/or grandma perfume unfortunately. I'm pretty bummed since I chose this one over a few tempting Shungas that I now wish I had picked instead. I'll make my final verdict in a few months and maybe review it again to see if there's been any significant changes.

~~frimp review~~ wet, it smells like a christmas tree! shoutout to the strong cedar note < 3 I love you. it fades out pretty quick though and comes through reaaalllly clean and fresh. the musk is really nice, and leaves a nice heat on your nostrils, which I assume is also the work of the leather. it smells like something a haughty businessman would wear. it's very mellow and nice. after a bit, it smells the same but fainter. it's really nice and chill. kind of masculine. I may wear this around occasionally

~~frimp review~~ I don't ever play bard, but this scent is being very nice to me. fresh on, it smells very pleasantly (but not intensely) musky. I really smell the rum, which is fantastic, and it is definitely beachy. I smell the beach in sand and coconut, as well as a sweet vanilla with wood in the background (and a twinge of the brass mentioned?). after a bit it gets muskier and less sweet. the dominant notes now are the rum and wood. overall it is very beachy on me in a good way. the musk and rum and yummy together and it teeters on the edge of cologne. nat 20 for this one
-
~~frimp review~~~ medea starts off very heavy, dark, and forboding. smells like a rained-on garden or forest, wet foliage and soil. very herbally and floraly, kind of teetering on the edge of the dreaded grandma's perfume smell. i'm going to play a match of fortnite then add more about the drydown. alright, back. we won lmao. this perfume is not very much of a win on me though. very floraly in a grandma way, but the flowers are still very pretty. smells almost beachy? like sand and sunscreen and ocean spray. it's pleasant, but not something I'd wear often.

~~frimp review~~ extreeemeeeely sweet out the imp. it smells like grape candy, like a skittle or something. once put on, it calms down suuper quick, I'm talking in a matter of like 2 minutes. i have to put my nose on my hand to smell. it retains the sweetness and becomes fizzy, similar to the champagne in Bon Vivant. now that I think about it, it's very much like BV, but grape rather than strawberry. it's not ~evil~ on my skin, but does have a slight dark edge to it from the wine and florals, but it is still very much sweet and fruity. overall, it's a grape Bon Vivant bubbly fruity sweet champagne smell. great if you like fruit and carbonated drinks/perfumes. I don't know that I'll wear it often, but it's a nice change of pace. maybe I'll layer it with BV. pretty happy that the Frimp Gods chose well for me

i got this as a frimp and holy crap is it really nice. this one's quite a changer. when wet, it smells really, really fruity and sweet. when i first got it before it settled, it smelled like juicy cherries. now after chilling for ~2 weeks, it's still fruity but not as much so. the almond that previously came through as cherry is now coming through as itself. as it dries, the musk comes through more and more. an hourish later, it smells very musky and warm, but not spicy. all the scents melded together into a really nice and flattering smell. it's great
-
another frimp scent! when just put on, it smells like a baked good, like a fall candle that bath and body works would sell. firstly I notice caramel, along with a hint of salt, flowers, and a bit of wood. overall, it's salted caramel in the woods. it's stayed that consistent smell for about 30 minutes, if it changes I'll edit the post

ordered an imp of this and I'm satisfied with it. when first put on, it's increeeeedibly sweet, like sweet cherry lollipops. i believe the scent i smell behind it is the amber, which yanks the leash on the sweetness and chills it out towards the end. the musk is also really pleasant, kind of earthy. after only a few minutes, the smell really fades. about an hour later, the smell is still relatively the same. cherry, vanilla, sweetness, and a bit of earthyness

a scent that needs no introduction. thee legendary Snake Oil. upon first applying it... it is straight up church. sunday morning at like 9am and the priest is swangin that metal ball full of incense all around the people lmao. very... ceremonial. the vanilla is very nice and warm, bringing a beautiful sweetness to the scent. it stays almost the same upon drydown, still very sweet and incensey. unfortunately, I don't think I'll be wearing this in my day to day life. the scent isn't really my thing to wear out. but I'll definitely wear this around the house and in bed. I actually put it on the other night and could still faintly smell it after my 8 hour sleep. it's really nice, sexy, seductive, mature, smooth, ahhh. go ahead and buy an imp if you haven't already. cheers to snake oil!

very happy I bought an imp of this to try because ohhh it is very very delightful when out of the bottle. it smells like alcoholic sprite. super bubbly and very, very sweet. drying down, I can smell the strawberry among the soda. it stays very sweet, but I swear I can still smell the bubbles. I don't know how I can smell the carbonation bubbles... but I can. about half an hour later, the smell's stayed mostly the same. it's overwhelmingly sprite with a hint of strawberry in the background, like if you got soda from one of those machines at a fast food place where it gives you the option to add the cherry, vanilla, orange, strawberry, etc syrups to your soda. it's just sprite with a shot of strawberry syrup. while it is really nice, really sweet, totally up my alley... it does kind of get on my nerves after a while, and it tires out my nose. this is a really great smell for a fun, upbeat occasion, like a party or going to the beach. overall, I like it!

I just ADORE this scent! adore it! as with all other floral bpals (on me) it smells awful the first few minutes. I really gotta give it a minute to let it calm down, and wow, after that cooldown... persephone is just amazing. so simple but lovely. it smells of beautiful roses with a fruity backdrop. it's just gorgeous, and I like it more as it fades a bit so it's not too potent. overall, it's floraly and fruity and sweet. what's not to love?

this is a veerrryy interesting smell. when drying down, I can smell the clove primarily and some sweetness. when dry, it smells really smokey, like a campfire, and there's some dark scents at play in the background (edit: I can also pick up maple syrup). I'm at a loss for words describing this scent. it's very mysterious and interesting. definitely not my first choice to wear, but since I got it as an imp I'd most likely wear it to bed or around the house, it's not really 'me' enough to wear out, but I do appreciate it

when it's wet, it's VERY apple-y, which is like peak autumn smell if you live in a state that grows a lot of apples (or a yearround scent when you live in the Big Apple like I do). very quickly upon drying down does it become much more herbaly and complex. it's hard to pinpoint exactly what you can pick up because there's a LOT going on (also because I'm not very familiar with a lot of these scents or amazing at articulating smells). I also pick up a hint of spiciness among it all. I'm kind of at a loss for words on how to fully capture it's essence. It's appley, sweet, a bit spicy, herbaly, foresty, and autumnal. it's fantastic!

was really excited by the mint in this one, so I got an imp. wet on skin it smells VERY herbally, almost nauseatingly so. very strong and unpleasant. glad it doesn't stay that way. in the middle stage, it smells kind of like the speed stick deodorant that I use when I sleep over at my boyfriend's (not a bad thing, I actually really like how it smells lmao) upon drydown, the mint really comes through, you can feel it cooling your nostrils ever so slightly. the florals (rose especially) also begin to bloom with a hint of citrus in the back (and possibly the grape wine?? there's a lot going on and it's hard to pick out any of the non-major players). the rosemary is also very prominent and works especially well with the mint. overall, it just smells very herbally, rosey, and cooling. I do kinda get old lady perfume from this smell, but it's not as bad in this scent as it is in other bpal florals I've tried. I definitely feel like I'm channeling royalty with this scent. it's a great chill smell perfect for the heat wave we're going through right now!
