Reading the reviews it seems, either you hate Laudanum or you love it. There's a lot of reviewers who didn't like it, and I kinda understand them - this is unique, a bit weird and strongly medicinal. And I love it for that. Laudanum is very well blended and it's hard to pick out any specific notes, but let's be honest too: I'm not very familiar with the given notes. It reminds me of liquorice, but it's not only that. It's herbal, mysterious and unisex, if not masculine. It's like dry, medicinal chai spice, with nutmeg and opium, there's also something smoky in it. Myrrh gets stronger when dry and sweetens the scent a bit, but this is not a sweet scent at all. This smells exactly as you would expect something named Laudanum to smell like.

I knew I was going to love this serpent and oh my, I really do. The Serpent in the Berries reminds me of strawberry-flavored antibiotic medicine that I got when I was a child with an ear infection I get all the listed notes. Strawberry, or actually berries in general in this, are synthetic and a bit medicinal. Marshmallow and sugar sweetens the berries and musky Snake Oil is noticeable but subtle, earthy and lightly dark. I bet this is going to age wonderfully.

Is O discontinued and how long it's been out of stock? I've bought my bottle somewhere around 2019 or 2020 and I remember I instantly fell in love with it. Somehow I forgot it for a couple of years and found it now and decided to wear it today. In my opinion O hasn't changed a lot during time. It's still as sweet and soft as earlier, all the notes are balanced and lovely. Sensual amber, honey and vanilla. Only difference is that I think it's somehow a bit dustier now when it's aged a bit. Lovely scent.

I do get the comparisons to Ava, but on my skin Tomie reminds me more of Eve than Ava. I was so sad when Eve didn't work on me and it would be just too unfair if that happened to Tomie, too. But I think we might get along well. Rose is very tricky on me (that was the problem with Eve) and rose tend to amp on my skin, so the rose-tinted sandalwood reads ROSE on me. Wet phase isn't very pleasant with all that rose, almond blossom might be noticeable too. But completely dry this is so much better. Rose softens, sandalwood and vanilla shows up with a hint of white amber. Is there any jasmine? I'm not sure. Dry this isn't so very complex at all. Tomie is white floral and amber, pretty and somewhat mainstream. ETA. Now as Tomie's been resting a bit more I really need to add that she's only getting better and better with time. Rose has mellowed significantly, sandalwood is more clear than before, vanilla is getting stronger and white amber is just lovely. I'm hooked.

Wet on my skin this reminds me a lot of Delightful Gargantuan Vagina, because mimosa is always loud on me. So, at first this is sweet floral mimosa with a hint of fruitiness. Later the notes balances a bit and I'm getting fig, honey and almond that seems more like almond milk than cream, mimosa is still strong with this one. Jasmine is very, very subtle and in the background. I really can't detect bourbon vanilla at this point. I hope it will get stronger with aging. Definitely a summer/ spring scent. This is sweet, bright, floral and fruity, just what the description says.

At first, when straight from the mail I was a bit disappointed in this because I was expecting something very dark, strong and sinister based on earlier reviews. But after the bottle rested for a couple of weeks I really learnt to love it. The strawberries, they truly are overripe! A bit sweet and tart strawberries backed with indigo musk, some incense and black tea that add some melancholy and roundness. The cacao is quite strong and bitter when wet (it's like raw cacao mass) but luckily it fades backround after drying, being still noticeable. I think I can detect the laudanum accord but I hope it'll get stronger with age. I agree with VioletChaos in this and I would add this works unbelievable well for quite chilly first days of autumn, too, it's like a memory of the summer. Moody, beautiful and warm.

Ha, what a surprise - on my skin this is very much like toned down Morocco! The sandalwood part is remarkably the same. I love Morocco so this is not a problem. They're definitely different scents, though, but there are some similarities. This is just what the description says: vanilla sandalwood. Very beautiful, warm and comforting. Sandalwood is usually quite loud on my skin and this is not an exception and because of that this is quite a strong perfume on me. Great throw. I bet this is going to age wonderfully. -
I really don't have much to add on earlier reviews but I'm here to say that this is just as I hoped this would be. This is sweet, fluffy, pink and pretty. Juicy, sugared strawberries with some cream and candies. Simple perfection for those who love sweet candy scents. Perfect summer scent but I'll joyfully wear this through autumnal months, this is just too beautiful not to wear.

I really wanted to love Eve, because I do love the movie and Eve's character. But it seems I am the only one whose skin chemistry just don't get along with her. And that actually makes me very sad. Don't get me wrong - there's much I like and I could love this on someone else. Eve is complex and there's so much going on that I find it hard to describe it. I get mostly rose, herbs and incense. Rose is very tricky on me and while there's some scents where rose works beautifully on me, often it goes soapy or kinda sharp or unpleasant. Sadly, I get the unpleasant part of the rose here. Moss is bringing some earthiness. I do get the comparisons to Morocco, there's definitely same spices and sandalwood in Eve. But mostly on my skin I get the rose with honey. I'm going to forget her for a couple of months more and retest then. If she's still roses and honey she shall go to someone who will love her.

To me, White Cat is a true comfort scent. I get all the listed notes and oh my, she's a keeper. Only based on the listed notes I was already sure that this would be instant love, and I wasn't wrong. Wet (and very fresh from the post) I get the lemon amber at first but as soon as it hits the skin all the other notes emerges. Vanilla cream softness with musk and lovely amber and a touch of mallow flower. Dry this is exactly as described. Actually this really reminds me of Haunted but this is more vanilla based. Cozy, fluffy, soft and beautiful.

Rose tends to be tricky on me but that's not a problem with The Demonaic as the other notes balances it beautifully. When wet this reminds me of hibiscus tea - it's brisk, almost herbal. This gets darker and more interesting, more complex during drydown. I like resins and labdanum is noticeable. Incense-y kyphi smoke is making this mysterious. On my skin this is not very sweet, I really don't get any honey from the oud. The Demonaic is mystical and dark but not at all heavy.

My Madame is only a year aged but oh my it's beautiful. I think I get all the notes listed, which is rare. At first this is clearly red musk, sweetened by vanilla, but berries and fruits comes forward after a while. Mme. Moriarty is deep, juicy and seductive. I like it how vanilla softens black currant and musk, pomegranate and plum brings juiciness and tartness. Patchouli is behaving and comes out only shyly. Mme. Moriarty, Misfortune Teller feels expensive, she's mysterious and absolutely gorgeous. I'm in love. -

I've got two imps of Love me, the first one being unknown age but it's OLD, the second one I got as a frimp about half a year ago. The older one is quite impressive bright red colored while the younger one seemingly different golden yellow. They still smell quite alike: they're absolutely same perfume but I can detect one being older - it's somehow smoother and a bit dustier. Younger one is more fresh. Both of them smell mostly jasmine and cinnamon, honestly they're all I get. I get the cola-like scent too that some mention above but I think it's the floral cinnamon combination that reminds of cola. There's definitely some vanilla in the older sample, but I cannot detect it in the newer one. Cinnamon is making this warm and spicy, jasmine makes this floral. Floral aspect is dominant on a newer imp while spiciness dominates the older one. Voodoo blends interests me a lot and I'm going to find out how this is going to work on my magick purposes.

After couple of months I'm ready to rewrite my earlier review. The perfume has developed significantly and now it's quite pleasant, beautiful and calming. Much more softer than earlier. At first, when wet on skin, there's still a hint of woody-like smokiness but it has calmed remarkably. Now it reminds me a Finnish sauna! And it feels relaxing and nice. So the courtesans are definitely relaxing in a bathhouse and there's some kind of sauna, too. Coconut and almond are dominant while drying and about an hour after that. After that cardamom and jasmine cream comes forward staying subtle. After all this is now very soothing. Never underestimate the power of aging your perfume oils.

Right after opening the vial I get an in-your-face burst of strong cinnamon and a hint of cassia. Nice, I thought, and put it on my skin. When wet the cinnamon is still dominating and after couple of minutes happens something that have never before happened with BPAL: my skin gets red and irritated. I've tried and worn many perfumes with cinnamon and spices but this is the first time my skin reacts. The reaction isn't very strong nor itchy so I don't hurry to wash it off. During drydown other notes start to appear and this is very much chai spice or chai tea to me. Very nice and quite strong. Sandalwood is noticeable and pretty. I don't get any tobacco, though. This is very much like Bengal with these chai spices but I like Plunder better, this is deeper and more intensive while Bengal is very soft.

I have never tried the original but I really like the new one. At first, when wet, patchouli is the strongest note leaving everything else behind. It's elegant, dry patchouli, not the "dirty" and hippie one. After a while the perfume balances and other notes appears. Along with the patchouli I get mostly black orchid and opium tar, blood musk is apparent when fully dry. Lavender is noticeable but not strong. Beautiful and mystical, moderately strong with nice throw.

This is gorgeous. Opening the bottle I got a strong whiff of incense smoke but the smokiness fades quickly. Wet on my skin there's something dark and surprising, licorice-like smell, that seems to be the resins, until sweet caramelized oud is getting stronger and taming it a bit during drydown. Dry it's mostly glowing amber, sweet oud and dark frankincense. I have no words to describe how beautiful this is. Nyx, Night Goddess, she is divine.

Could you tell how the new one differs from the original? I bought Monk lately so my sample is all new and fresh. It's green and lightly sweet, very much sandalwood incense dominant. I think the saffron is detectable. Crispy green honeyed sandalwood incense mostly, I can imagine that monastery could smell like this. This is nice and soothing, I really liked this on my significant otter.

I don't know if cherry wine is a thing but it's the first description that came to my mind when sniffing wet Black Phoenix on my skin. Cherry liquor. With roses. After a while I get almond too, but it's only a hint and just a soft touch of lovely almond. Still mostly cherry, wine and rose. And I tend to amp rose. I was hoping for a huge cherry bomb but it's more like a rose bomb with some cherries, but my imp is quite fresh and I'll gladly let it age. I think Black Phoenix goes the same vein as The Obsidian Widow and Blood Kiss. I'm happy with my imp but don't need a bottle.

As a clinical psychotherapist I had to try this one! Most of the notes are soft and pretty but still very strong - the throw is huge and the scent lasts hours and hours. At first I get incense with something that reminds me of a pencil The pencil-note must be brimstone I guess? This is mostly incense, sandalwoods dominates when completely dry. I think this is very comforting and definitely would do better on winter days than on summer, so I must try this again when the sunny days are over. I don't think I need a full bottle but I'm happily keeping my imp. Nice, comforting and somehow calming perfume.

I was wondering what this reminded me of until I read a comment above that compared FMAFMWP to O. Yes, the vanilla, honey and amber really are just like O but now with added patchouli. I never thought O would need anything more but now when the patchouli is here I actually like this better. Feed Me and Fill Me With Pleasure is like cool and confident aunt of O, who's seen the world and knows her worth. Lovely, earthy and sensual, indeed.

Japanese incense is strong with this one indeed. It's the dominating note on my skin and for the first 10 minutes I can barely get anything else. Like said above this scent takes awhile to settle and after those first 10 minutes the florals appears. Neroli is the strongest but I can surely get the jasmine and rose, too. Labdanum is lurking here giving this a resiny base. I hoped for stronger vanilla, I can only detect it accidentally when waving my arm near to face. After two hours the resins are stronger and florals a bit toned down but still noticeable, I think I like this phase the best. I think Voyeur is nice but just not for me. I would enjoy it on someone else.
