This is a fun scent... very sweet and fruity and all candy-like. It calms down a bit for me on drydown and reminds me of the burnt sugar of a good creme brulee.

I looked at the description of this fragrance and thought that I would probably leave it on my wrist for 4.5 minutes before I washed it off. WRONG. If I thought it would never fade, I wouldn't wash my arm again. EVER. It starts out with a tartness. I could have sworn I smelled apple but I think that it is the dandelion greenery. I wouldn't know what hops or hemps smell like but if they are what makes this scent turn sweet, then I want them in everything I wear from this moment forward. The tobacco is what I smell at the very end here- and it reminds me of cherry pipe tobacco. Whatever. I really like this fragrance.

Accck! This started out all bright florals and freshness and turned to the soap from hell. It is making my sinuses block, my nose wants to run for the hills and somewhere in my head is one hell of a sneeze waiting to be released.

Spinning Multicolored Metallic Pinwheel

Ooooh, this is neat! It starts out reminding me of these wafers from the 60s called Fizzys that you dropped into water and Voila! you had pseudo-carbonated drink. When ti dries, the juniper comes out strong. The combination of the fizz and evergreen is just... well... NEAT. I like this a lot. -
Verrrrrrrry interesting fragrance, this. It starts out as dirt. I dabbed some on, sniffed and thought "great. I smell like I've been digging in the garden." I figured I'd wash it off when I got to work. Fortunately, I got busy and forgot about it for a few hours. When I sniffed my arm after several hours had passed, it had turned to sweet floral. I am not crazy about its start, but I certainly am happy with what I ended up with.

I think Black Opal is going up there in the top 5. It reminds me of Antique Lace (which is up there too) but deeply musky. It is warm and sexy and simply gorgeous. I put some on at 6 this morning and after 10pm, I can STILL detect the vanilla musk. Super thanks to Seismogenic for the gift of this imp!!

This is lovely- in the bottle, I pick up tea, sweet tea. After it dries, I find the freesia and jasmine notes to be the most prominent. It is soft and clean and pretty.

BOY can I smell the blood orange in this blend. On drydown it is so sweet that I can taste it.

Pink rock candy, strawberry cream, and splashes of gin, vermouth, and grenadine. Oh, man do I smell juniper and gin. Something very sweet is lilting right at the very top. (strawberry sugar candy? Grenadine?) Drydown doesn't change the order much, except the candy sweetness is stronger and lasts longer. Not bad.

Interesting. This starts out smelling like Doublemint Gum and grapefruit peel. It's cool and tangy, sweet and tart. The mint fades on drydown and the grapefruit amps a bit. Now something sharper than grapefruit (that reminds me of the way a beauty salon smells, if that makes any sense at all) is coming out. I don't know if I like it or not.

the fabulous schackjj sent me a bit of this a few weeks back to try... I wasn't too crazy about the scent in the imp... but oh, mama! When I put it on and let it dry it turned into blueberry muffin wonderfulness. I am NOT a foodie for fragrances but I will make an exception in the case of Blue Phoenix. LOVE

Chaos Theory V: Recursive Self-Similarity v1

XCI When this goes on, it first reminds me of pineapple lifesavers... on drydown, it loses the fruitiness and just turns clean. I wish I knew what notes I was smelling but I don't. I can say that I am not detecting any floral or food. It is just fresh and clean. Maybe there's a pine note way in the background but there's still a primary note that is blowing a fresh breezeright up my nose. Whatever it is, I LOVE it. -

CXXXVI This one has a bit of spicy floral in it. Am I smelling carnation? Maybe geranium? Gah, I am so bad at this. -

CXXXII Molasses. That's what this reminds me of. Molasses. -

CXV In the imp, this smells very green... almost like sap from the stem of a flower (I keep seeing a daisy in my nose's eye). It gets a little softer and sweeter on application but it maintains that feral quality. I have no idea what notes are in here. I could be imagining a wee bit of violet but I can't discern anything else. Very different. Very nice. eta: how on earth did Lycanthrope manage to get bottles CXV and CCXV in the same order... and then decant imps of both to me? Hee! -

CCXV It starts out very vanilla. Then I could swear I smell smoke. Wood smoke. Pinon wood smoke. Criminy! This is the pinon incense my dad used to burn incessantly. Hang on a sec. Someone just threw a bouquet of flowers on top of the fire. They smolder. What an odd fragrance. It is bringing back serious childhood memories. Wow. -

XXI Wet: Lemon Drops!!! Super lemony but not cleaning fluid lemony. Dry: At first it lost the lemon action and turned soapy. Fortunately, that faded preety quickly. What I am left with is lemon cake. I am not a foody as far as my scents are concerned- this is nice but I don't know about wearing it... -
Just sniffing this is making my teeth contemplate a good rot. It is sweet, oh MAN is it sweet!! Mountains of cotton candy and cherry taffy by the yard... It gets softer on drydown but stays just as sweet. Yum.

This fragrance starts out as INYOURFACE hyperactive gardenia-turned-Tigger. I can almost hear the "woo hoo!!" Fortunately, I love both Milne and gardenia. Otherwise I would have run from the room screaming something about evil bouncy tiger flowers sucking my breath away. The super-headiness quickly fades, however. What is left is a sweet but calm mix of florals. I think I like this a lot.

Wowser... this is powerful. I've seen people describe the initial scent as Christmas'y and that is quite accurate. But with the Christmas scent is something almost wine-like. It is a bright scent and a little overwhelming. I can taste it. I like it but it is not a slathering scent.

What high hopes I had for Marotte... It started off GORGEOUS. The amber and pear were perfectly matched and I remember thinking that this was going to be one of my all time favorites. And then it dried.... and turned to dusting powder. Le Sigh for Le Mat.

II (2) I read fairnymph's review and I have to wonder if we have decants of the same oil. I get anise and cedar from this while it's wet. No chocolate. No raspberry. When it dries down, the licorice takes a back seat and the cedar steps aside as well. What comes to the fore now is a sweet resin, coupled with a floral that is so heady it is breathtaking. If it only lasted... it turns into something that reminds me of a dusting powder I used when I was a teen. While the reminiscence is lovely, I'd rather have the floral and resin. *sigh* -
CCCXXIX (329) Sweetly gorgeous! There's amber in here for sure. I detect violet too- that[s what's the most powerful while wet. Once it dries down, it is just sweet amber. LOVE Previously reviewed by Aerinha.

I don't smell not one iota of coconut. This is orris all the way. I like the way it smells (because orris is one of the ingredients in my personal horoscope scent) but the intensity of the orris is giving me a bit of a headache. Definitely not a slathering scent. A little dab'll do ya!

Bust out the dzang dzi! This scent honors the zombies of Chinese lore. Mandarin orange, white musk, mango, and white sandalwood. Hmmm... sandalwood, sandalwood and more sandalwood with a little bit of musk thrown in for good measure.
