At first whiff I thought I would love this. I planned to love it. It was mint, cool mint. Unfortunately, when it dried, it turned to a burnt butter and plastic smell.

Oh, YUM. Wet, Yemaya is ripe juicy honeydew melon. On drydown, it turns a bit grape-y. Regardless, this is one of the nicest of the foody scents I have tried.

Wet: Sweet lemon Dry: Floral musk this is lovely

In the imp: So beautiful! Citrus with jasmine. The sweet and tart alternate prominence and tickle my nose. Wet: The citrus backs down a little and the jasmine and my beloved amber take over. Dry: Sweet warm amber and bright jasmine. How I love this scent...

I thought on application that this was going to be a definite Voodoocat fragrance. It started out very minty with an undercurrent of sandalwood. Unfortunately, it turned into a fight to the death for supremacy between Rose and Violet. Poor mint got stomped. Sandalwood just gave up and went home. Foo.

Oh. My. Dog. Oh. Long. John. Piano. Being a Democrat was never so sweet. This is probably one of the most compelling fragrances I have ever sniffed. I definitely pick up the honey. I could have sworn that I smelled spicy chocolate too while it was wet. It is simply gorgeous.

When I first put this on, I detected wine grapes and plums. After it dried, the fruits move to the background and the wood, patchouli and frankincense took over. The end result was a deep sultry fragrance.

The devil’s herb, which he cultivates with skill and pleasure. According to lore, the spirit of this plant may take the form of a breathtaking, achingly beautiful woman, deadly to behold. This scent is a tribute to such a dark and magnificent plant: a rich green and floral blend, earthy and haunting. In the imp: Acetone! I smell fingernail polish remover. Wet: Still quite sharp, but there is a sweetness beginning to hover. Dry: Interesting how this is changing... sweet, almost cloyingly so, with a hint of pickle juice and a stong pine afternote (is that a word?). I think I will let this age for a few months and see what happens to the arrangement.

This is a lovely fragrance- deeply tropical with heady florals. The orchid is damp and sexy. Beautiful!

In the imp: Grapefruit with a dusting of sugar Wet: I pick up violets now. Dry: Powdery violet scent is all I get. (but that is not a bad thing at all)
-
In the imp: Seriously citrus!! Fresh orange, rind and all. It is sweet but there is a bitter pith in the background. Wet: The orange goes a bit soft and creamy... with a little floral bringing up the rear. Dry: The orange disappears and I am left with an incense-like fragrance. This is beautiful!

Hmmm... not too sure about this one. In the imp, I get vague florals. Wet, I get soap. On drydown, the rose dashes to the fore and competes with another note I can't identify. I don't think it's pear, so I must assume it's either the lily (the flower of which I have never sniffed in real life) or the white musk. It's OK but not something that I must have.

I have one thing to say about Wings of Azrael... VIOLETS!!! Seriously, that is all I smell. Unless I am suddenly amping violet, that is the primary note.

Oh my. This ia such a masculine fragrance that I almost feel like I should be wearing a plaid flannel shirt. I thought it had lavender in it but I don't see that as one of the notes. I can detect sandalwood and musk... but that's about it for my nose. It is a gorgeous fragrance for a man. A manly man. James Bond would have worn this.

Wet, Voodoo reminds me of coke syrup. After it dries down, it turns sultry and incense-ish. I love it.

In the imp and wet I get evergreen goodness- like being outdoors in a forest on a mountain in the winter. When it dries down, though, it does something weird on me. It starts smelling like pine cleaner. I am not sure if it's the berries that is making it do this, but I have to say... eewwww. Since I love the wet version, I may have to try it in a locket and see if perhaps it stays more woodsy away from my skin. I will not give up on it.

Yum! Darkness is a deep and mysterious scent. The opium and myrrh are tantalizing and heady, while the narcissus adds a powdery touch. This is a lovely winter fragrance.

I don't like Sepulcher at all either in the imp or wet. It smells musty and dirty, almost like something rotting. However, when it dries down, it turns sweetly floral and is just delightful. I nearly washed it off this morning- thankfully I was running late and didn't have time. I adore the fragrance.

This haunting, exotic scent is named in honor of the shapeshifting demons from Hindu mythology. Sandalwood with rose and patchouli. Rakshasa smells very herbal in the imp. The patchouli is prominent as soon as I put it on, but the scent turns to a spicy wood when it dries. Weirdly, it is reminding me of pickles and that is not something I want to smell like.

The lab sent me several discontinued fragrances as frimps- Storm is one of them. In the imp and wet, this smells nasty. Sharp and almost rotten. I nearly washed it off but I am glad that I didn't. On drydown, there's a mint note-- spearmint??-- that is predominant. Lavender is in the background. I wouldn't have thought that these two would blend well but I do like them together. Not an everyday scent, but lovely for a change.

Light, clean and slightly salty- Tears reminds me of being on a pier in the morning. Fresh and dewy, not melancholic at all.

Nope, not crazy about this one... In the imp: rose rose and rose Wet: Rose with a sharp edge Dry: Plastic Ick...

from the outset, Sundew is a bright and immaculate fragrance, very clean and fresh. It does not change on me and continues to sparkle. It's like a garden after a hard rain. Definitely a spring fragrance.

Musky incense on me... beautiful for winter. I really like this a lot.

O aged Snake Oil, how I love thee... And this one is no exception! Snake Oil with a bit of warm leather and bright sage. The Snake Oil outlasts them both and stays for hours and hours. Love.
