Sorry to come to this so late, but a friend gave me a decant, I tried some today, so here we are. In the bottle, this smells fresh and a little like a cucumber, but not in a bad way. This goes on fresh and cool, with herbal or vegetal scents. It has a mildly sweet note without smelling like a teenager's cucumber-melon scent, though I feel like it is a little bit like that teenager's older, sophisticated cousin who has gone to college. As it dries down, I get more of the spice and parchment. It smells just a little bit like old books! It carries on towards a more incense sorts of note without going too far into New Age Shoppe or old lady smell. That being said, if definitely has some throw - more than I initially expected, whoops. It calms down after an hour or so, and it stays spicy. I liked the cool vegetal notes, and wished that that stayed around more to balance out this scent as a whole. I have a small collection now, and too many end on similar spice notes. I prefer wood notes to be the final notes over amber or too-sweet incense. Here, that's probably the frankincense I'm picking up on. I'm not getting the oudh as much as I thought I would. The oudh (or at least that's what I think I'm smelling) really shines a few hours in as a lovely, more faded, but round and mellow woodsy note. That being said, while this scent starts out strong with some throw, it simply does not last. It was gone by about four hours. Verdict, for me, this is probably 7.5/10 Solid, nice, but I don't see myself reaching for it every day.
