Lush to BPAL scent comparisons (BNever included too)
policyoftruth replied to Vanilla's topic in Recommendations
Any BPAL suggestions for Joy Of Jelly? I searched the thread and only found one comparison 2 years ago, and wondering if anyone had any other suggestions -
Very soft and pretty. The scent of peach blossom is strong, but I can also smell fresh, white flowers as well. It's very nice, I'm glad I got this as a frimp or I would have never tried it!

A lot of the notes are new to me, but what I smell is a sweet, slightly fruity scent with a woodsy undertone so it's not too sweet. I'm not sure what champaca smells like, but after looking it up I think that's what I smell the most. Lune Noir is one of my favorites, and love it so much I have a backup bottle so I can slather away

I wore Sticky Pillowcase on one wrist and Samhain '07 on the other for Halloween. I was dressed up as a sugar skull, but unfortunately don't have a bottle of it so I made do. Together, I smelled like trick-or-treating

When first applied, it smells faintly of cake (like others mentioned) before it turned into a dark woodsy note that reminds me of Azathoth. Either way, not for me

Belle Époque? I always call it "the French one" so I don't sound ridiculous trying to pronounce it

I got a sample of L'Artisian's Ananas Fizz a year or so ago and really liked it. Are there any BPAL equivalents? Ananas Fizz- pineapple, citrus essence (lemon rind, bitter orange, bergamot and pink grapefruit), pure rum, cedar, precious woods, cocoa milk, lychee sap, vanilla -

I'm not sure if this is the place to ask, but does anyone else's nose sting when sniffing Skuld? I think it's the labdanum, because I have no issues with the ylang ylang, honey or musk. It makes my nose feel as if every pore is closing up, and that makes me sad -
Thanks to the lab for the frimp! When I first got Come To Me, it was much sharper smelling and much more herbally. I've had the imp for over a month now, and there are some slight differences. There is still the herbal, but there is a soapy note as well. Not a bad thing, it smells like a fresh bar of soap. There is something that smells almost nostalgic, too. I just can't place it. One of the last times I wore it, my friend told me I smelled really good. Or, as she put it, "In a totally straight way, you smell really fucking good" After a while I start to smell like freshly showered skin. Warm, clean and fresh.

In the imp- Something sweet, and lavender Wet- I can smell the tea now. With sugar and milk, mmm. Dry- I put Dorian all over myself this morning, and from what I remember, sniffing my wrist was like putting my nose to a cooling cup of good tea, with a mix of lavender and something else I can't put my finger on. Or rather, nose I've worn it since almost 9 this morning (7:30 PM now) and I can still smell it faintly. My sister was next to me in class today and said she could smell it really well, but not in an overpowering way. That's a good sign, since the last time I made her sniff it, she said it smelled like "old man" Wearing Dorian makes me feel pretty It's one of my favorites so far, and a big bottle is on my Christmas list now.

In the bottle: FIR. Wet: FIR AND PATCHOULI Dry: " " After an hour: " " It's like patchouli and I are battling and I'm losing-- it's all I can smell. I put Samhain on a q-tip to see if any of the pumpkin and spices that I so dearly wanted would come out, but it sadly hasn't I still want to hold on to it and see how it ages. 1/15/08- Aging definitely helps! The fir is still present, but the patchouli takes a backseat (which is great, as I hate patchouli.) It's spicy pumpkin and damp leaves and I love it. Even better, I've received a compliment while wearing it 4/5, will buy again!

In imp: A very tart pomegranate Wet: Straight up rose Right now (10+ minutes): A fresh rose! So pretty! I really like this. It smells like this nice bar of rose soap I got at Target once. Very fresh and clean. On my twin, you can slightly smell the pomegranate, but it's not showing up on me at all.

Is there a BPAL similar to Be Delicious? Description I yanked form Google: Be Delicious is based around a clean and fruity note of apple, balanced by notes of rose, cucumber, orchid, and white lily. The scent closes on soft, sensual base notes of sandalwood and amber.
