I visited Pompeii in 2019 and bought a perfume from the gift shop called Rosa Pompeiana. I ran out a few years back, but have been trying to get my hands on a bottle, but it's only sold at the gift shop and I can't order it. I've searched eBay, and Etsy with no luck. I recently placed my first order with BPAL and was hoping they had something that resembled Rosa Pompeiana, but there's so many scents to comb through. I'm hoping those more experienced with BPAL know of something that will calm my obsession with finding this scent.
The notes, according to an article I found, are "...rose, mixed with sandalwood and ash from Vesuvius in a universal blend, far from the sweetish taste usually associated with the rose, but rather with a pleasantly bitter aftertaste, which recalls a place, Pompeii, where life was savored intensely." Like the description says, you can definitely smell the rose, but it's woody. Almost like a 'grown up' and sophisticated rose, mixed with a warm afternoon in the hustle of the busy Forum of Pompeii.
I'd be forever grateful if anyone knows if a cent that fits this description. Thanks!
