    A Bachelor's Dog

I swapped for a bottle of this one unsniffed, based on the scent description alone. I just love tobacco. Of any sort. And I like a variety of scent types, but tend to prefer gender-neutral/masculine scents most of all. And boy am I happy I swapped. This is fantabulous. It's got great throw and wear-length for me - surprising considering the original reviews! Almost everything I wear stays close to the skin, but this one I can smell for several hours *without* always huffing my wrists. Hooray!! When wet, the most dominant note on me is most definitely the musk, but there's depth added by the sweet tobacco. The tobacco balances out the musk as it dries to become very prominent. And it is most certainly a sweet cigar tobacco on me, not a dry or sour cigarette tobacco. It's just a wonderful scent - wet or dry. It smells comforting and everyday, but it's also rich, sexy, and sophisticated. I don't really get much leather, but that's okay with me. I'll take tobacco over leather anyday.

    Gooey Pillowcase Atmospheric Spray

This is yummeh. When I try to analyze the scent, I certainly can detect that bpal pumpkin note with a sweeter caramel-like aftertaste. But at first sniff, I really just smell graham cracker. A well-mixed foody scent with a top note of graham cracker. And even though I don't usually enjoy the foody stuffs, I do love this. I was using up my decant too fast, so now I have a full bottle.

    L'Estate Bath Oil

This was my first bath oil, and I loooove this scent. I get a lot of sweet carnation with a backing of peach and beeswax. Not too sweet, not too floral. It's just gorgeous. I'm upset that I only got half a bottle. I use it by applying the oil directly to my skin after a shower. It lasts all day and has great throw. I wish the perfume oils worked so well on my skin! :-)
  4. hrmmm.... have you tried Morocco? Desdemona? Maiden? I admit I don't much care for florals. I even will try them... and they turn to chaotic pungent noise on my skin. However, I find Tamora to be fairly pleasant. Also, La Vague is florals tempered by a juicy peach. These two *almost* work for me, the floral-hater. (However, when dry Tamora is almost identical to Dorian on me.) Oh, and I just got to try Pink Moon. I must say, if I had the money I'd buy a bottle of it. It's just sugared carnation and phlox. Simple but pretty. If hope (sugared rose) or faith (sugared violet) approach this one for simplicity and softness, they'd be worth trying.

    Temple Viper

hrmmm... first review. i'm not sure that i know the individual notes of this scent, so i can't pinpoint much. i do know and like snake oil, even if brand spankin' new. this on me is a slightly sweetened version, just enough to knock the edge off the spicyness. and then, a bit more of an incense-like quality on top of that, to make it deeper... almost heady. i don't get the fruity grape (whew) and not a bit of "floral" though i'm sure the champaca adds to the blend. i gotta say that for me, it's fabulous. it is sex made into a liquid and bottled. yum. i haven't gotten to try all the snakeys yet, but this is my favorite so far. actually, this is the *only* scent i'm planning on getting multiple bottles of. i adore it. also... i just yesterday got to try the coveted Snake Charmer. yay! what tickled me is that, in my mind, it was simply Temple Viper Lite. hehe. and since i do love my temple viper, i can see why SC is so adored. luckily i get the same effect from Temple Viper, but with more throw. (Since my skin eats up perfume oil, I'll take any extra throw I can get!)
