Andromedii

Today I am wearing CARNAL and I LOVE it!!! It wasn't initially a combination that I thought would work, but the mandarin and sweet fig meld so perfectly together, like a tart, yet sweet dessert. So much so that at first, before I remembered the scents that were in it, I thought I was smelling a light, fruity sherbet, but couldn't place the fruits. Now that I know, I'm very very happy.

I'm in love again...dang all this stuff that I love. How many and much can I love thee...apparently it's endless!! TAMORA!!!!! Mmmmmmmm.... I've been noticing that I seem to be blessed with skin chemistry that seems to love to play up peach notes, something I'm very happy about. The short-short review of Tamora is that it smells like a creamy, smooth apricot smoothie with a dash of vanilla and drop or two of heliotrope. It's like Jack, but in more of a creamy fruit way instead of Jack's yummy baker-ish peach cobbler edge. It's also darker than Fae, as Fae is a fairy-light peach with the white musk and oakmoss. All three are now in a dead heat with Tamora as my favorite peach scent. I have bottles of all 3, hallelujah.

I have a vanilla single note and I completely agree with Gin's description of it. Quite creamy, smooth, and pure. I should've gotten a bottle. (I discovered while testing my other single notes that if you dab a bit of the vanilla, apricot and lotus single notes together that it's a beautiful, hundred-singer-choir-worthy scent.)

I LURVE Fae (white musk, bergamot, heliotrope, peach and oakmoss)! I keep imagining an ethereal will o' the wispy fairy with feather-light wings. It's such a wispy fragrance, yet with each turn of my head, I get a different scent, magical, ever-changing and stunning. On me, the peach, heliotrope and oakmoss play with one another, intertwining, flitting about, playing with each other to see who gets to lead. Magic in a bottle!!

I have a bottle of Jack and slathered him on both my wrists a while back and all I could smell was spicy peach cobbler. It was quite yummy. It lasted all day. I have no problem smelling like a fruity bakery.

Wow. I this one. I smelled a fruit-heavy mixed-berry sweet French wine, especially just upon application. I love that it lasted a long while, drying down to a red grape punch scent a couple of hours later. This is a truly fun scent. I have to have a 5 ml of this.

I just got 2 imps of Unseelie in an eBay win and I'm going to hoard them like crazy because I love love love them so. I can't understand why this scent was discontinued, because it's flippin' gorgeous! I don't have it with me, but I'd gladly take more if anyone is willing to sell or swap theirs. I'd give Unseelie a loving home.

Oooooooooooo...I'm so in with CHIMERA right now it isn't funny!!! It smells so utterly lovely on me!!!! I didn't think this combination would work on me, but WOWZERS!! A beautiful, magical, light, sweet, happy, fluffy....I don't exactly know where to place it to give you guys an idea, but it reminds me of an innocent young girl at a fairground full of lights, nibbling on cinnamony cotton candy, skipping along to the next ride, a carousel of pink and yellow ponies... In the imp, the oil just smells sweet, no cinnamon or other scents. On me, the honeysuckle flowers are full of fresh, rich, sweet nectar, but not too sweet, with a bare edge of a citrus that shine clearly through, and on top of that, a bare hint of cinnamon. I'm not sure what copal is or what it smells like, but it complements the other scents very well. I think of it as a pale pink-yellow scent. I have to get a 10 ml of this one. No question.

Don't boo me for this, but O, to me, was just a "nice" scent on me. It unfortunately didn't blow me away. The honey and vanilla, of course, are perfect, but some amber just doesn't work for me, doesn't smell very nice to my nose. I passed on my imp to a more loving home.

Mmmmmmmmmm. Every sniff reminds me of fresh strawberries bouncing in sparkling, bubbly, effervescent champagne. A light scent, perfect for when you want to smell like just a bit of berry & bubbly! I lurve this scent! I'd wear it daily, except I'd always be hungry just smelling it.

Well, I'm a huge fan of Hellcat and think it's a chocolatey wonder-smell. Beautiful, exotic and VERY choice!! As for non-BPAL "chocolate", my favorite is Godiva dark chocolate. Or any of their truffles.

Lightning slashing the midnight skies over the endless reaches of the ocean. The electric tang of ozone, marine notes, and a drop of sharp rain. Lightning was one of the first scents I applied to my skin. I will say it gave off a sudden sharp zap, smelled like a white shiver, and reminded me of standing on a sea-side cliff being slapped with crisp storm rain during a thunderstorm. Unfortunately, it's not what I'm looking for in a perfume. But it's amazing the way BPAL can bottle something like a storm in a tiny vial.
