Three words: Lush's Rock Star. Fantabulous! I need more!

I Fell in Love with a Floating Brain
Leopard403 replied to RaeiNarcissus's topic in Retail Exclusive Oils
On first whiff this is very much like Sticky Pillowcase poured over sour cream pound cake. Delish. I don't get much of the grapefruit note, but the strawberry and carnation are both lovely: Sweet one sniff, sharp the next. All over spongy cake. -
Invasion of the Flesh-Eating Reindeer from Uranus

I admit that I have a strong dislike for musk. So much so that I almost passed this by despite reviews. But I figured what the hell, and am SO glad I did. This is delicious! Gingerbread-y without too much cinnamon, heady and sexy but not too HELLO, MUSK-y, a bit boozy and foody without the Oh, You Smell Like FOOD! factor. Shockingly lovely! -
This is lovely, and unlike a lot of "serious" florals on my skin, it lasts and lasts and just gets prettier as time passes. Very well done!
-
Too masculine for my skin, and a little too incense-y. I wish I got the boozy smell some people get, because to me this is the epitome of the smoky, amber-y scents that just don't work for me.
-
Very reminiscent of Villainess' Decadence scent, which definitely means this is fanTAStic! Just like real sugar cookies, though I was a bit surprised how dark and boozy this smelled. Delish!

In the bottle: Musky Christmas trees. Wet on my skin: MINT! An hour later on my skin: STILL MINT!
-
What is wrong with my skin?? In the bottle this is SO lovely. A creamy, fruity floral composed of so many of my favorite scents: Lush gardenia, juicy peach, soft vanilla and cream. On my wrist: Parsley.
-
All I could think when I first smelled this on my skin: Bandaids. And even though the scent is still evolving a little, I can't get that concept out of my head. Edit: So I came back to this so I could let my boyfriend smell it. He liked it, though he was very adamant in his opinion about this being "too men's cologne-y" for me, but not manly enough for him (though really, what "perfume oil" is? I can't break him into BPAL habits yet). He did not smell Bandaids.

Smells purple. I don't know how else to explain it. Slightly floral, but mostly ripe plum, and something sort of grape-y smelling; though a wine grape, not fake purple bubblegum grape. I don't get any cream, which is probably good because too much of it tends to be salty on my skin. On me this is juicy as well as flowery, and definitively girly.

Root beer? Seriously?? Maybe I'm getting that hint-of-mint, too, and it's coming out as root beer. I don't dislike it, but it's sad to think I've been scouring the swaps pages for ages trying to get my hands on this, and when I finally do I smell like soda. Particularly when I can wear Sassafras Strengthener on the days I want to smell like soda.

Well hello, Brom. *waggles eyebrows* You are a bit too manly for me, so walk on over there and molester my boyfriend, m'kay? Do I sense a bottle or two in his Christmas stocking this year? I think so!
-
Ye gods, how I wanted to love this. And I do: In the bottle. Because in the bottle, it smells just as all the reviewers described. On my skin--and, sadly, even in my scent locket--it smells like cheap Autumn potpourri. I want to smell it, I just don't want to smell like it. Sad.

Soil-covered crushed pumpkin, water-weeds, saddle-leather, and pine pitch. Oh, wow. I wish I could get this without that "soil" note, because it really is delicious. It's a rich manly pumpkin that, to me, is the essence of fall. Again, too bad about the dirt, because that makes it unwearable for me.

I am one of those freaky-ass people who has never tried Snake Oil. I've tried several blends from the Snake Pit, but never SO in its singular glory. My love for Dorian made me purchase this, because as much as I love it, it just doesn't last on my skin at all. SO glad I bought this. How could you not love it? Something I find quite important: The lavender here is definitely less obvious and herbally than the lavender in the Gladdener blend, and that is a good thing.
-
This is absolutely gorgeous. I fear musk, but this is a complex and sexy version of it. A floral musk, if that's possible.
-
Hellooo, lavender! This is *very* herbal when it is wet, and only after it dries and settles in on my skin do I smell the lovely carnation and faint milk-and-honey top notes. Sadly, those notes burn away rather quickly and leave that very loud lavender. Not sure if I'll keep this one.

I guess if I'd known the meaning of the word "muguet" I might have ordered this sooner. I bought an imp and an empty bottle from a lovely forumite after I'd heard it smelled of lilies. Dur. Lovely scent, this, though I don't smell the complexities of the pepper like some others do: For me it's a wet-smelling lily scent, a fresh bouquet without the green.

Cigarette smoke.

Something is definitely wrong with my sniffer, because to me, both in the bottle and on my skin, this is Juicy Fruit gum.
-
Not good on me. As others have said: Too astringent, too green, too soapy, too cologne-y. HEAVENLY on my boyfriend.
-
Yep, dirt. Wow. For me, even less wearable than Worm Moon was, but interesting to sniff nonetheless.

This one is really strange. On first sniff, it reminded me of a candle shop I used to frequent, sort of candle-y and incense-y. Then, sadly, it morphed to: Black licorice? Are you kidding me??
-
This is lovely, reminiscent of Clemence with extra dollops of fresh roses on top. A musky, sexy floral that isn't quickly identifiable as ZOMGRose; the rose blends well with the beeswax and the resins, so this scent has complex layers.
