At first To Helen smelled like overwhelming potpourri. Oddly, it reminded me of a cross between two stores I used to go to at Silver Dollar City when I was a kid, the candle shop where you would dip your own candles, and this store with kinda fussy, kinda Victorian things. On the dry-down, it settled down to a powdery scent- which is good cause I like powdery notes. It reminds me somewhat of the scent of the makeup my grandma wore when I was a kid, like the big powderpuff she used. But if it’s a powder it’s a “complicated” powder. The roses are very light and there’s a hint of something I want to call spice but that’s not quite it. About thirty minutes later it starts to remind me of an Estee Lauder perfume my mom wore when I was a kid. About an hour or so later it’s a very nice, very feminine (but not girly or sultry) perfume that isn’t quite like anything else. I like To Helen. Once it’s dry it’s not overwhelming, and it’s very pretty. The lasting power is great, I put it on about eight hours ago and I can still smell it on my wrist!

Lots of orange when I first apply it, and then it calms down to a soft orange. I didn't get most of the notes everyone else got, just orange and maybe something floral or herbal ever so lightly over it. I like it and will definitely use the decants I have.

I just got an imp of the 2008 version. I will be buying a 5ml of this! It's a sweet musk witha warm, "golden" fruity smell, and just a little bit of a powdery note to it, but I really like powdery notes. I've had it on for about two hours and it hasn't really faded. Not too much throw, but I like how it kinds hovers around my skin. It reminds me of a quieter, more sultry Hony Mone.

This oil did not work on me at all. It's kinda fake-sweet, and the floral part reminds me of the air fresheners in the restroom of an airplane. Ew.

Very nice spicy musk! To me it smells somewhere imbetween Snake Oil and Blinding Glory of Love. It's lighter than Snake Oil and without the vanilla and sweeter than Blinding Glory of Love. I just got the imp today and this will probably be the next 5ml that I buy.

Warm, sweet, and yummy. This is the first chocolate scent I've tried from the Lab and I loved it.

My mom ordered three bottles for me for Christmas (Whip, Dirty, and Midnight) and this frimp came with it. I was so excited to see it because I had been hoping to get my hands on it since I read about it on lj. It smells exactly like the fruitcake my great-aunt made every year when I was a kid. She'd make it in cupcake wrappers and I loved them. I've missed her fruitcake for years so it was so nice to get to smell it again today!

This makes me so sad......on me it smells like chemicals, like something that you would use to clean stuff.

This is my favorite BPAL scent. It works well anytime and anywhere. On my skin it turns to a beautiful incense-y vanilla, sweet but mysterious. This just about got me mauled at the club a couple weeks ago! I get (almost) more attention while wearing it than while wearing the voodoo oils.....

Yummm......rich sugary cake. It smells amazing in the bottle and even better on my skin. Even after it dries it keeps a cake-like scent.

So in the last few days my depression has lifted dramatically. It had been bad and getting worse for eight months but then Friday night I was just suddenly ok. It finally occured to me last night that that's around when I put an imp of Lionheart in the little box of imps I carry in my purse. I just finally put some on. It's soft and powdery, with just a little bit of florals and spice underneath.

I just got an imp of this today and I can't stop sniffing my wrist! On me the leather and rose are in perfect balance. It's sexy and feminine, but not at all overpowering.

From the description I didn't think I'd like it. I'd never had good luck with citrus scents, and the tea and leather made it sound just too heavy and masculine. Then I got the imp and tried it on my skin. It's just a perfect light scent for summer. The leather and tea give it a nice base and citrus makes it light and fresh. There's something in it that I can almost "taste" when I smell it- something that reminds me of the way I remember church smelling when I was a child. Funny how a scent with such inspiration smells so innocent to me!

On me this was just too heavy. A really spicy, heavy musk. It actually reminded me of a cross between two perfumes my mom wore when I was a child. I think I'm going to keep the rest of the imp around though, it may be one that I'll grow to love.

It's sweet but not too much so. I smelled milk in honey in it when I put it on, I was told it smelled like myrrh and other spices on me. I like it, it's sensual and a little mysterious, but also "clean" enough that I could wear it to the office. This is definitely going on my list of 5ml's to buy.

This was one of the imps I bought in lots from eBay because I had no idea what to try! When I first smelled the imp I thought it was awful. I couldn't place the notes, it was just overwhelming and unpleasant. But having read that so many BPAL scents change on your skin I decided to try it. I put it on one night, and it seemed like a pretty heavy floral. After a few minutes I washed it off to try something else. A week or so later I put some on before rushing out to the club. The only comment I really got was from a male friend who asked me why I smelled powdery (this was about 30 minutes after putting it on) I checked my wrist and it was a beautiful powdery smell with spices underneath. He said it was powdery but not at all unpleasant. A few hours later while driving home I checked it again. It had turned into the most perfect vanilla ever. A pure, creamy vanilla, innocent but sexy. I love it! I seem to get a bit extra attention from guys when I wear it but it's hard to tell because pretty much all of the guys I'm around are long time friends of mine.
