In the imp I can smell the patchouli, nutmeg and chili. It's a rather crazy scent where the notes aren't too merged together so I keep picking out different ones! This isn't as dark as I expected. It'smaking my mouthwater when I smell it because it's quite sharp. I don't think it's doing anything for me. It needs to mellow out and deepen as well. As it dries it smells bitter and slightly spicy and not something that I tend to wear. Something is creeping out, the musk I think and I'm not keen on it. It's dried down to a spicy musk which, I'm afraid, is not my cup of tea. especially since I've just rubbed it in my eye

In the bottle I think it's the vertiver that's coming through. When on and wet I can smell a nutty smell which I don'tthink it's the coconut as it's too green. The coconut comes through as it dries down on me. It starting to smell like The Body Shop coconut body lotion. It's not a scent that I've ever had before so I may wear it a coupleof times to get used to the smell. I certainly don't dislike it, I'm just unsure of the smell.

When sniffing the bottle I can smell the apples and blood orange which are cutting through the snake oil and providing a much lighter, fruitier scent. Ok I've forgotten which wrist I tested this on which is obviously a sign that it has no staying power on me, oops!
-
In the bottle I can smell the cherry amaretto very strongly. On and wet I can smell bakewell tart. It's a little bit foody for me I think, but maybe it will chill out. It's still quite foody as it dries, I was hoping to smell the manadarin. I don't think I can keep this, it's just slightly too foody.

In the bottle I can smell spice but can't recall which ones are supposed to be in here. On and wet I can smell the sandalwood coming through the snake oil, heavenly! This smells pretty awesome now it's dried as the leather has also creeped out to play. Oh man, I am going to have to tie my wrist to my nose! heaven.

Frimp. In the bottle I can smell moonflower and rose? Wet and on the soapy floral and jasmine are coming out, noooo! As it dries the jasmine fades but the floral soaps are here to stay. Such as shame as it was really nice in the bottle so I may keep it to sniff.

Frimp. In the bottle I can smell the orris and amber which are notes that I amp that turn sour on me. On and wet I can smell the patchouli and the amber which is quite a sharp, spicy smell. I think I can smell the bourbon and vanilla coming through as it's drying and it's becoming more masculine. There seems to be a damp smell appearing as the scent develops I'm not sure what that is though, I can't say that I'm particularly keen on it. Nothing much else is happening with this, I can't pick out any notes, but it's reminisent of a damp towel after a shower.

Frimp. I'm not sure what I can smell in the bottle I'll have to put it on. Another jasmine. Sometimes they work on me but I've just tested one that was hideous so I'm reluctant to go much further with this. Nothing much is happening with the drydown, maybe a littlemusk coming out, but I just can't get past the jasmine.

The Perfumed Garden for the Soul’s Recreation. This scent is based on a venerable Tunisian perfume that was used to excite the senses, inspire sensuality and inflame passion. Myrrh and Moroccan jasmine with apple peel, Indian sandalwood, myrtle, quince, citron, and thyme poured over soft musk. The name put me off a bit as florals turn soapy on me, but I couldn't resist the myrrh, jasmine and sandalwood so here's hoping! In the bottle I can smell my cats wee after I've sprayed the litter tray area with a floral aerosol! Hello jasmine! I'll be brave and put it on myself, sometimes jasmine mellows out on me. Oh gosh, ok, big mistake, this is the worst wee jasmine I've tested so far. Please dry down, please dry down, please dry down! Ok it's drying down a bit and the apple peelis coming out. Maybe the wee smell will curl up and die eventually? It's dry now and I just don't like it I'm afraid Dry cat wee and apple peel.

In the bottle I can smell anise and cherry blossom. It reminds me of the liquorice allsort covered in little pink balls. On me and wet the vanilla is coming out and counteracting the anise and I can still smell the cherry blossom. I hope the violet comes out as I love violet! The anise has really mellowed out now and merged with the cherry blossom, with the vanilla adding a creamy softness to it. This is turning out to be lovely! Ok it's softening down so much that I'm finding it hard to smell, come back!! Maybe I'll have to buy a bottle and slather myself with it

I can smell cake before I even open the bottle! I'm not sure if I ordered this or if it is a frimp as I don't normally like foody smells. I suppose the milk and honey may have been why I ordered it. Yup it smells of cupcakes. I really don't think I can put it on myself, especially after the experience I had with Shub! On the plus side, my disgust means foody-lovers should adore this!

The scent flies out of the bottle and up my nose! I smell moss which I assume is the fungus and a slight sharpness which I think is the herbs. On and wet (and all over my laptop!) it smells sharp and clean, it reminds me of cleaning a bathroom but in a nice, clean, fresh sort of way. I was expecting something darker than this. The herbs seem to be the dominant note on me and I'm pretty sure one of them is lavendar and it reminds me of bubble bath. It's starting to soften as it dries but I can't say I'm too keen on it, as much as I like clean bathrooms I don't really want to smell of one.

The patchouli is what tempted me to try this. In the bottle I can smell a slightly dark spice patchouli. I can't seem to pick up other notes at the moment as they've all merged into one. When on and wet I can smell the patchouli and I think the juniper, it's lovely greeny scent which is leaning towards the masculine. I seem to only be able to smell the beeswax from far away. When drying, the patchouli is dying down and I think the musk is coming forward. The drier it gets the more masculine it smells I do really like it though and may be passing it along to the OH.

The colour of this looks promising. The darker the liquid the better my skin chemistry, although not always! In the bottle I first smelled rose, then lychee, then cistus, fab! When on and wet the lychee comes out strongest closely followed by the rose otto. It's a beautiful deep mix so far, although quite sticky-sugary. It smells pretty much the same when drying just slightly spicier but I'm not sure where that's coming from. Once dry the lychee and rose have come into a lovely balance. I really like this scent and is the perfect deep/sweet rosy scent that I've been after

The violet and vanilla are what tempted me to try this. In the bottle I can smell floral soap with a hint of vanilla. I really hope this doesn't turn to soap on me, hopefully the vanilla will barge past. On and wet it smells very soapy floral which, I presume, is the narcissus and orris. The vanilla is coming out as it dries and the florals are turning spicy. I've not had a hint of violet though. When dry, it's pleasant but not one I'll be wearing unles it turns creamier over time. It's just a bit too spicy/soapy/floral mixture.

In the imp I smell fresh green jasmine, maybe a hint of soap. The first sniff is great but the soap is making me very wary! When on it's turned to soap as I suspected, what a shame! Well, at least I smell clean, haha! And yes as someone metioned, it's not just any soap, it's a rose soap. Nice, but no thanks.

I am excited but nervous about this. I love Blood in the bottle, but it turns to insense on me, so let's see how this fairs. In the imp all I can smell is mulled wine! I'd best try this on then hopefully I'll be able to separate the notes. The blood has come out with a slight foody smell but not enough to put me off. After I sniff there is the slightest scent of fresh tobacco left in my nostrils. The throw smells of mulled wine. This is strange! Someone mentioned teaming this with Blood to calm it down so I may try that afterwards. Now that it's drying it's getting a little too foody for me and I may need to wash this off. It's still drying and I still want to wash it off but will persevere until it's dry. It's taking a long time because it's so thick! Ok I can't wait anymore, it just isn't me at all. The throw is mulled wine which I don't like and close up it is foody which I don't like!

In the imp I can smell sweet vertiver, so possibly lavendar as well. I'm not too sure of the other notes. It smells weird but I'll persevere and put some on. Ooh the herbs are out, this reminds me of the herbs in my windowbox, specifically the parsley and lavendar. There is a very sweet smell in the background, someone mentioned dark chocolate, that may be it. I think I can smell rose, something sweet and fresh and rosey! Ok now it smells of roses and chocolates, with a hint of lavendar in the throw. I know what it reminds me of! LUSH's Black Magick massage bar! I have 2 of these and love them, the rose and chocolate, delightful! Once dry it smells beautifully sensual. It reminds me of when I use the above massage bar and layer with Vanillary powder. This will be the perfect scent to match it. A beautiful soft, dark rose with the teeniest tiniest hint of incense. I adore this scent.

In the imp I can smell a mixture of the mint and violet with a bit of eucalyptus in the background. It smells sharp and lovely, definately electrifying! When on the mint comes out to pinch my nose and make my mouth water. Strange! The eucalyptus is making a slight appearance but I can smell the violet in the background. This smells more like a herb garden than a perfume, hehe! Is anyone else getting a tingle on their wrist from the mint? I've just scrubbed off my last imp test so that might be why! It's got a nice throw, like a mixture of soft mints and parma violets. Yummy! I'm liking this more and more. I hope it stays this way then I may have to invest in a bottle. It reminds me of the Raven, just sharper due to the mint. When dry the parma violet throw is there, but not upclose, that is reserved for the mint and eucalyptus. This is an odd scent but I do quite like it, although I wish my mouth would stop watering!

In the imp I can only smell the vertiver, which is fine by me because that's how Saturnalia started out for me! Nice and green. When on and wet the patchouli is coming out with the vertiver and it's all very dark and smokey, mmm and I can smell the ylang ylang from far away, it smells like a hippy shop I used to work at, lovely! The vertiver is chilling out as it dries so the scent is becoming lighter, still no sign of the blood orange. So far I am liking this, but know that OH will just label it as another of 'those incensy perfumes you like'. It's so hard to explain to an untrained nose! This has calmed down as it has dried and isn't as strong. It's still smokey but not overly so. The patchouli and ylang ylang have mixed to give it a slight sweet kick. Wow, I really like it, for some reason it's clearing my nose and head fantastically! Wonderful stuff.

I adore Snake Oil so was eager to get my hands on this. I've never tried Dorian but have hear good things about this. I finally got my hands on a partial bottle, yay! In the bottle I can smell the snake oil, then something softer behind like lavendar, ah yes that must be the lavendar duh! It smells lovely, hopefully I day-time snake oil. When on and wet the lavendar is making a statement but the vanilla is sneaking out as well. The snake oil is coming out more as it dries, which is great. But it's still not that really thick scent associated with snake oil. When dry I can smell the snake oil from a distance but it's lightened by the lavendar, and possibly the lily but I'm not too sure what that smells like. Close up it is slightly floral soap on me, but the snake oil cleverly masks that. Overall I really like this scent, it's perfect to wear during the day when snake oil is just too heavy.

I got this as a frimp so am intrigued by it! In the imp it smells fresh and sweet I'm assuming that's the peony. Not sure if this will work on me when dry, I have a tendancy to turn florals into soap. When on I can still smell the peony, it smells really nice, fresh and happy! I might be smelling tea, but I don't drink tea so I couldn't really say. This reminds me of something but I don't know what, maybe a room spray I once had. Once dry it has toned down a bit, but I can't smell soap, not a hint, yay! This is a really lovely scent but would probably be better suited to the warmer months, so I will hold off ordering a bottle for another 6 months. I'm glad I got to try this! [EDIT] Unfortuantely this only lasted 10 minutes on my skin then completely dissappeared

This is my 5th and last Halloween scent to test. The other 4 didn't work on me so fingers tightly crossed that this does! Sniffing the imp I can smell the clove and the black musk, it smells nice but am not sure how it will turn out. When on it smells the same as the imp pretty much although I can smell the laubidanum I think. As it's drying I seem to be amping insense as usual! Once dry it reminds me of a darker version of how Blood ends up on my skin - pure insense. It's ok but I won't be buying a bottle.

Sniffing the imp doesn't smell too promising. It definately has the potential to turn to a floral soap on me. When on I can smell florals and soap. This doesn't bode well. This may be the 4th out of 4 Halloween scents that just don't work on me. I think the jasmine is coming out, but it smells like wee, this tends to happen on me if there is no vanilla. Once dry it doesn't smell as soapy as I was expecting but I never smelled any smoke or leaves or food or chocolate, just dissapointing florals. I doubt I will be wearing this again.

Sniffing the bottle is heaven! Yummy cherries. When on it reminds me of my cherry almond shampoo and cherry chapstick. It lives up to it's name - I want to suck on my wrist. Ack, 3rd in a row that doesn't smell nice when dry It reminds me of the cherry part of a dib dab, not in a good way. I am so so disapointed. I can smell soap!! Maybe one for the scent locket. I've just not been having much luck of late.
