Hmm, I got more of a valencia orange scent than grapefruit. Wet, this is the juiciest orange, very fresh and summery. It dries to a perfumey floral , and stays that way for a bit. 40 minutes later, the perfumey is gone, and it's more of a powdery, sweet florally fruit. Quite a morpher, and really, all the stages I can do without. I do wish I got grapefruit, as I am not an orange scent lover (or perfumey floral). Off to swaps.

This smells like vinegar and vetiver. Could be wet wood? Maybe it's a fresh imp and needs to settle a bit? Right now, this is not for me.

I have been waiting to try CM for the longest time. On, this is a dark, honeyed incense with a bit of dried florals. I don't really get the Chrysanthemums like in Flowering Chrysanthums, which I absolutely adore. I went for a walk right after putting it on, and I couldn't tell if it was the summer breeze or me that smelled so good. It's that kind of scent that smells like the hot summer outdoors, when the gentle wind is blowing and the flowers are mixing with the heat. Unfortuneately, this did not last, the incense totally took over the blend after about 20 minutes and I smelled like a department store perfume factory. I'm so sad, as I really liked the wet stages of the blend. I wish it stayed that way, but I'm sure I'll find a better home for her. eta: CM has actually grown on me, (or maybe she has settled since coming here!), and I'm reaching for this blend more and more often. I do not associate it with dept. store perfume anymore, really it's a golden, incense, honeyed blend, like the earlier stages of my first review. This is perfect for a hot summer evening.

Skin musk and flowering sugar cane. Velvet Nudie is a lemony skin musk, of the fast disappearing kind. I love lemon and was excited to smell this in the imp, as it seemed like it was full of win. Unfortuneately, I'm discovering that skin musk does not work on me, it just reacts with my skin chemistry and makes a blend smell to "department store perfumey" in a bad way. Off to swaps.

This is very strong cinnamon and a bit of fruit. I don't really get much else. Not bad, it reminds me of another GC, but I can't think of what at the moment. This would be great for cooler weather.

I was sooo excited to try this, I mean, tobacco, smoky vanilla, plum, most of the notes are total win on me. This smells great in the bottle, somewhat fruity with a bit of incense. On is a totally different story. This is high end department store perfume, like a few reviewers have noted, but in an awful, overly floral way. No plum, tobacco, red musk, smoky vanilla, just strong, perfumey floral. I don't get any of the comparisons to Black Lace or Hellion. If anything, this is kind of like The Witch Queen, which was another big disappointment for me. I'll hang on to my partial, just to see if it changes, (crosses fingers) but my other one is definitely off to swaps.

Hmm, this is very "green" smelling, kind of like "That Terror Over There", and reminiscent of a commercial CK perfume, (kind of aquaticcy) UGH, and a "green" smelling underarm deodorant. This really isn't what I was expecting this blend to be like. I was hoping for citrussy chrysanthemum, with maybe a bit of mint. What I get, is some mint and strong, green like florals. I'll try once more in a few days, but right now, J-Horror is looking like it's a BIG miss.

Mmm, this is currant berry goodness to the extreme! I was really worried about the mushroom, but all I get is a subdued spiciness. There an incense vibe happening here, which makes this blend one of my favorite combinations, berry plus spice and incense . This one joins the ranks of Hellion, Couple's, and Makanaitis for sultry, sexy blends. My only complaint is that it becomes faint fairly quickly.

This at first smells like a mixture of violets and roses. It quickly dries down to a powdery, slightly sour rose. Not a rose fan, (especially sour ones!), so this one is off to swaps.

This is a sweet creamy, strawberry/candy scent. Whoever said "taffy" was right on. Another candy this reminds me of are the strawberry fluff marshmallow chicks you can get at Easter time. I also get the Pink Sugar comparison, though PS is a bit more muskier, and "grown up". The scent fits the description very nicely, I imagine Unicorn posters in a little girls room, doll houses, barbies, etc. I can't really see myself wearing this oil very often, as it is just too childlike. I do enjoy the memories it evokes, though. Also, a lot of the time strawberry scents go "chapstick" on me, kind of waxy, this however does not. So if you are into imitation strawberry/candy fluffy scents, you'll probably love this.

I swapped imp for imp for this baby, and man she does not disappoint! This is a nice, mellow patchouli, with a background of red pomegranate/raspberry and a little bit of spice thrown in for good measure. I really don't get any floral, which is a good thing. This is quite similar to Mme Moriarty, like a cousin, only not as strong, and with a different fruit rather than the plum. This would be a great scent to wear to a halloween event. I LOVE this, and will treasure my little impy.

I don't normally go for scents with pear in it, but this is a subdued pear, balanced by incense and musk. It changes very little from wet to dry, but sometimes it seems a bit sweeter, which I don't like as much. This is 'OK' especially for a pear scent, but I won't be hunting any more down. I'll have to try layering the three Le Mats and see what they are all like together.

Sugar cane, molasses, oak wood, and honey. Very sweet, caramelly with a touch of wood, the vibe is pancake syrup-like. Kind of reminds me of fresh Al Azif without the incense (which takes awhile to appear on me) This is much to sweet and foody for me. Off to swaps.

This very much reminds me of Coral Snake, without the snake oil. I did the quiz when the Inquisitions were first out, and this is what I was, but didn't get on the bandwagon. I swapped imp for imp, and am not disappointed! This is late summer in a field of ripe apple trees. In the distance, someone is making apple cider, with the wonderful spices wafting in the air. Carnations provide a florally/spicy kick in the background. I wish I got more musk, myrrh and patchouli, (not too much!), as it would make this a little darker. I don't get fig or hawthorn, but I'm actually not sure what they even smell like. I really like this, and will treasure my imp.

This reminds me a bit of Wood Phoenix, but it is not as sweet in the drydown. Wet, this is very sweet coffee and woods, and dries to a sharp, woodsy masculine scent with maybe a touch of tobacco, but not like Perversion tobacco, which I love, but rather a vague smokiness. Kind of like a dirty ashtray. Overall this blend is a bit too masculine on me, and coffee/woods are usually not notes that work well on me. Off to swaps.

I could have sworn there was peach in this! This is a creamy, heady floral with what I thought was a bit of peach. The vanilla seems to temper the gardenia and jasmine somewhat and is not as strong as similar blends with tropical florals. Kind of reminds me of Tiki Queen, but a little less florally. I'm not a gardenia/jasmine lover, so this one is off to swaps.

Wow, I was totally off on this one! Right away, I get musky fruit of an undetermined type. Maybe a toned down peach? Rose was undetected until I read the notes, and yes, rose appears, but it is behaving pretty well on my skin. More like a sweet pink rose, and not a whiff of sourness at all. This is very well blended, and I guess the fruitiness must be the translation of lotus to me. Overall, this is just a little too florally sweet, and the "peachiness" is something I don't like pretty much in any perfume. Off to swaps.

Wow, this is some good stuff!! A generous forumite frimped me with this little gem. I normally don't like chocolate scents, but I'm discovering that I like chocolate when it's blended with something. This is not a straight up foody chocolate, but one with a bit of tart berry, and yes vanilla. The caramel is barely noticeable to me, thankfully. It kind of reminds me of the Feb 13 blend, but not as spicy, and more chocolatey. I'm kind of hoping that my 13 will morph more into this. This would be a great bath, and I hope it comes back for a visit someday.

This is a soft whispy floral on me. I'm generally not a floral gal, but I'm finding anything with Iris works well with me and kind of makes a blend "ethereal". This is no exception, and I love the softness of the blend. There is a bit of powder vibe here, but I kind of like powder so that's OK. There is a bit of sourness here, but it is well balanced by the sweetness of the florals. Nice! ADDED Nov. 8: already reviewed.

Mmm, this is a very fresh spring-like blend. It kind of reminds me of Embalming Fluid, but without the lemon. At first, I thought that this blend had lemon, it's so fresh and light, but I peeked at the notes. Maybe my brain is broken and the EF association just made me think there was lemon in here. Then again, I could really swear it was there...At any rate, this is a lovely fresh, cooling oil. OK, I'm going to say it, lemonny with a touch of tea and ginger. I'll enjoy the imp, but it's too much like EF to warrant a bottle. Would be great in an oil burner.

I've been looking forward to trying this, as it smells pretty good in the imp, fresh apricot with something less sweet grounding it. On, it becomes a perfumey floral with a touch of apricot. Twenty minutes later, a fake, fruity apricot takes the foreground, and it's worse than the previous stage. It actually is a bit alcoholic, so if you like boozy apricot, I'm sure you'll love this. It reminds me of apricot brandy, actually. Off to swaps.

Mmm, this reminds me of Mme Moriarty's much older sophisticated, rabble rousing older sister. I get some spicy incensy (fruit?) and a generous dash of patchouli. In the imp, this is quite offensive, but on, the patchouli mellows and the most wonderful fruity (not in a bad way) vanilla, sophisticated blend emerges. This blend is dirty, but not in a bad way, more of a sexy, "I know what I want" blend. I really like this, and I see a bottle purchase when this little imp runs out.

This is a very sweet DBR blend with a blast of aggressive musk. Very evocative of it's name, but I am not a DBR fan.

This to me, is a very fresh fruity green floral to me. The floral is almost candy-like in it's sweetness, and now that I know there is an aquatic note, I can smell it. Quite nice, especially with the subdued aquatic, (they almost never work on me) but not really my style. Smells kind of like this expensive department store perfume, but I can't remember the name.

Whoah vetiver in the imp!! After I put this on my coat, though a lovely tobacco comes out, with a hint of leather and the barest bit of vetiver. This smells very much like Perversion to me, which I love. I had originally written this off, due to the vetiver, but I'll bet I'll be using this in an oil burner for sure, probably when the weather gets a little cooler. Maybe the Perversion assocation is just making me *think* there is leather here, but whatever is in here, I love it!
