Like the previous reviewer, I couldn't stand MB Bloody Mary, and just resigned to myself that I guess I wasn't a foody person, as most of the "food" scents are just too sweet for me. Eat Me certainly changed that, my but this is GOOD. I guess the sourness of the currants round off the cake scent nicely, and it doesn't really seem like a true foody blend to me. Perfect for a non-foody like me.

At first, this is all vetiver. I have a hard time telling vetiver and cedar apart, but vetiver disappears very quickly on my skin, which is a good thing. This whole blend actually disappears very quickly on me, and I get a "barely there" fragrance of something very nice. Kind of musky, with just a touch of vetiver. The throw and length of this is not great at all, so not for me.

This smells like a really expensive high end soap. That being said, it is not an insult at all, this is a beautiful whispy blend, that reminds me of a feminine ghost creature. There is a soft florally scent that is perfectly balanced with what must be the white musk. There is something almost sharp about this blend, but before it hits you in the face it backs off, kind of like a ghost would do. Silly review, I know. I do like this, but not sure if it is "me". eta: 20 minutes after I wrote this review, the Lady has again morphed. I love love love this, very pretty, sweet, whispy and mysterious. This blend almost "glows" now. It is "barely" there now, but not. Beautiful.

At first, this is fruity and citrus, I kind of like it. Reading the description, I see Embalming Fluid, which is one of my faves. No wonder. The aftershave and something else comes into play, and the lemony goodness takes a background. I don't mind it, kind of neutral on this one. It's got a cakey vibe to it which probably is making this not a definite win for me.

I thought there was cedar in this, my bad. I guess it's the Black Patchouli that I'm not liking, smells a little too dirty for me, though I do like other blends with patchouli in them. Not generally a fruit lover either, so this is not for me.

I really thought there was incense in this, must be the opium. I really like this, it is quite reminiscent of Midnight on the Midway. Lily of the Valley is one floral I quite like, and the drydown of this is amazing with a bit of vanilla rounding everything out. I really think this would be a summer scent for me, and feels odd to be wearing this when there is two feet of snow outside. Definite future bottle purchase for sure.

I knew there was red musk in this one right away, but boy am I surprised to see the rose in the description! A rose blend that works for me, Yay!! This is very reminiscent of Lust, Scherezade, and Sin to me, very yummy red musk, and now that I know there is rose, a hint of floral. The rose is barely detectable, though and is very well blended together. Amber is there, but again, the musk is in the foreground. This is definitely a bottle worthy blend to me, but I do have two imps to use up, so it'll be awhile.

My skin amps florals, so I was a little leary about this. At first it is this beautiful, spicy floral. This soon disappears, and it is more tropical smelling floral to me, not really a good thing. Maybe I amp the tropical more? I just get a gardenia-like scent in the dry down. Funny how some reviewers notice the other flowers, like the violet and rose, I just get the icky gardenia. Will give it another go, though before it goes.

This starts out very strong and resinous. Amazingly, there is a point where "poof", it fades very quickly and morphs into something vaguely citrus and herbal. Reminds me of Cytheria, in how faint it has morphed into. I do like this, not sure if I love it, though. Maybe some aging will bring out the other notes. I really wanted the ginger and benzoin to make an appearance, but alas, they are not there.

Ugh, cherries, cedar and overwhelmingly sweet. Two of my worst notes, I also get some nuts, but maybe it's the cherry. Must get this off, one of the rare bpal that makes me feel ill.

If you like Lush's Silky Underwear, you'll like this one. It is almost a dead ringer to me and probably one of only two jasmine scents that I like. The other one is Flying Fox. I definitely get the jasmine, but I can't seem to pick out anything else. Well maybe they'll come out later. This would be really nice for spring, a very light, pretty floral.

Wet, this is a very piney scent, I kind of like it. I also get a whiff of something feminine, very nice. After half an hour or so, this is pretty much like Red Lantern (wtf??) Not sure what is up with my skin chemistry, I wanted the pine to stick around. I really liked the first half hour, reminded me of the snow and skiing, and now, Red Lantern, which I sort of like, but have plenty of already. *Sigh* I had high hopes for this one. I'll revisit this in a week or so to see if something is "off" with me.

Wet, this is nice and minty. I love mint, so this is a good thing. After a few minutes, there's a whole lot of ozone, and the mint has taken the background. After twenty minutes, it's about equal. I'm overanalyzing this one, as I'm kind of on the fence. I love the mint, but not the ozone. Ozone reminds me too much of a lot of the CK perfumes, which I'm not too big on. I think I'll just enjoy the imp in the summertime.

OMG, a foodie scent that I really do like a lot. I love the spice and rum, so I shouldn't be too surprised I guess. This is not as sweet and cloying as some foodie blends, for example Sugar Cookie does not work for me, too sweet and in your face. There is a "milky" element in this too, that I really love, not sure where that is coming from, or rather what it might be. The cookie part of the scent is what I expected Sugar Cookie to smell like, but didn't. I do believe a bottle is in store for sure. eta: I got a compliment from someone today about this scent, saying I smelled very festive, like gingerbread. I guess it had dried down, and sure enough, this is almost exactly the same as gingerbread poppet to me. I went to the movies, and my daughter said after I got back to washroom. Mom, some kid says that something smells like gingerbread in here. Yes, it is too much like GP for me to justify a bottle now..

This is so gorgeous in the imp, just exactly like a fresh, dewy rose. I thought for sure this would be a bottle, but it goes quite sharp on me almost right away. Not too terribly surprised, as rose tends to do this to me. The only exception is Hope. Oh well, when I need to smell a beautiful rose, I do have this imp. Truly wished it worked on me.

Affectionately nicknamed 'The Devil's Bake Sale'. Wet, this is buttery and boozy. The booziness fades and we're left with a sugar cookie with a touch of nutmeg. I'm not a foodie, but got an imp to see what the hype is about. I tried it this morning, and it made me hungry, so the foodie association is definitely there. Hubby does like it on me, but to bad I'm not going to wear it for him, as I'm not liking this one at all. Maybe if there was a little more spice, and a little less buttery caramel, I could go for this. It may be nice layered with Snake Oil, as the caramel kind of reminds me of Anaconda. Could be a good sub for that one?? Very happy for all the foodies who get this one back though!

This is another Yule win for me. I really like this, it is a soft, mild incense, perfect for the holiday season. It kind of reminds me of the incense in Midnight on the MIdway, only milder and without the flowers. I detect a slight woody note, I think it's cedar, but it is not bothering me like it usually does. This is definitely a bottle for me to wear during the holidays to come. A previous poster said this is a classic, and I wholeheartedly agree.

I don't usually like to wear straight up chocolate, which is what this smells like wet. Not a cadbury, or generic chocolate, but more like Purdy's or an expensive belgium chocolate. I like chocolate blends better when they're blended with something, and after awhile, the amber comes out, and this is really quite nice. I put Jacob's Ladder on this morning, and I can still smell it underneath the Gelt, a very nice combo. Not sure if I'll get a bottle, but if you like chocolate, this is not chalky, like I find some cocoa blends to be.

I ordered a bottle unsniffed because I thought I would like this from the notes that were listed. I must say, I need another one. This reminds me a bit of Mead Moon, but not as honey-like, which is a good thing. There is a warm resiny sweetness, and it really doesn't change to much for me from wet to dry. This is like an overly strong, (but great!!) bpal, in the best stage after about 5 hours. You don't have to wait for the good to come, it is already there when you first put it on. This smells like an aged oil, it is so good, and it is already sensational. I can only imagine what it's going to be like aged.

A celebration of three years of decadence, determination, death and rebirth. Red musk, tonka, Chinese cassia, mandarin, patchouli, benzoin, wild plum and tobacco. WOW, I love this. It reminds me of red moon only better, as I get a spicy red/hot cinnamon like I've never smelled in any other blend before. Kind of like the candy hearts you can get around Valentines day. Must be the chinese cassia, because other cassia's don't smell like this to me, unless something else is giving it that vibe. I'm also getting some burning, but nothing that won't stop me from wearing this. I love red musk, and the two together is such a wonderful combination, though the red musk is taking the background here, it's mostly just the glorious spice. I detect a mellowness underneath, which is maybe the benzoin that is rounding this all off. Very nice!!

I really like the bottle. The oil has a peaceful feel about it, kind of reminds me of something, but I don't know what it is. This is quite strong, very incensey and cologne-like as other posters put it. I only have a sniffie bottle, and the last teeny bit has an enormous amount of throw. I don't think I could wear this, a bit too intense, though I'll bet this would be great on a guy, or perhaps as a room scent.

Yeesh, I'm not very good at detecting rose until I see the description, and there it is, so obvious. This is a very green, spring-like floral to me, like you'd walk into a huge greenhouse, is the feeling that I get. Still, it is really not for me, just too florally for my tastes.
-
In the bottle and on, this is a most beautiful grapefruit citrus. This lasts for about 20 minutes and then goes all cloying floral on me. So sad.
-
This is a very "cold" scent, and a bit masculine to me. I really smell the evergreens, but this smells just too much like a cleaning product for me to wear.
-
Very much like the true scent of a candy cane. I don't get any vanilla, still this is quite nice.
