I received this as a swap from a lovely forumite, and what a great swap! I'm trying to imagine what this will be like when it is hot out, (which will be quite some time). I have a tendency to love the smell of flowers, but not on me, hence florals don't work for me. The exception is violet, carnation, some roses, and HELIOTROPE!! I love heliotrope, and Red Moon has it good. I'm also a big red musk fan, and I'm thinking the sunflowers may like me as well. I'm so excited over this RM, I may try to track down the 04 version (good luck huh!). This is an awesome blend, and I can't say enough good things about it. Everything is so well put together. I barely get any dragon's blood, which is a good thing for me, so any db haters give this one a try! eta: The only negative is that I put it on two hours ago, and it has pretty much faded, so it needs to be slathered for me.

On first sniff I thought this was a floral, and thought "Wow a floral that I like!" Checked the description and discovered that my nose is broke (again), and see that there is teas. No wonder I like this. Everything is blended so well, and after checking the notes that are in this, I sure do smell the Earl Gray. Sadly, it does not last very long on me, but it's nice while it lasts! Will definitely keep the imp.

Well, this to me smells pretty much like rootbeer and cedar, a little too cedary in fact. Although I like to drink rootbeer, I don't like to smell like it. I Don't get any vanilla at all. Maybe it'll tone down after awhile, but right now it's a little too woody. I could imagine a hunky outdoorsy guy wearing this, near a cabin among the forest. *must try on my so*

At first I really liked this scent. After I put it on, though, the sweetness just amped like crazy drowning out the yummy incense. I really don't like the combination, and sadly for me, (great for those that love this), it lasts a VERY long time. Very glad to have tried this though.

In the bottle and wet, this is THE MOST PERFECT OIL. I get a lovely lemony scent, with a bit of spice and a touch of honey. I really do love ginger and spicy scents, but I don't really smell them very much, maybe a tinge. This lasts about 20 minutes, then fades to a single note honey, it actually reminds me a bit of Dana O'Shea, which I like, but if I wanted to wear her I would rather than use something that is htf. I might hang on to MM a bit and see if it changes, but really I doubt that the lemon will get stronger with age, although maybe the spices will. I'm cursing my skin chemistry.

Once again, some kind forumite frimped a sniffie and I really appreciate this always!! Anyways, back to The Star. This is a beautiful, citrussy buttery scent. I'm a big citrus fan, and this one seems lemony to me, and along with a bit of foody cake, this is a really awesome scent. I'm not even sure if this is a gc scent, if it is *crosses fingers*, I must get some. If not, I will be very sad, but still, I'm very glad to even have tried just a little bit of this gem.

Wet, this is very fresh and fruity, not really a great start for me. The musk and tea is coming out as it dries, which I like as a rule, but the fruit combination is just not my thing. This kind of reminds me of an expensive cologne, but I can't really place it. I was so into this kind of scent about 10 years ago, and would have been all over it. As it dries, it smells like Secret deodorant. Luckily, it doesn't last long, two hours and it was gone. Definitely not for me, oh well.

In the bottle, this is a candy violet scent to me. Huh? Not like Faith, but a fruity candied violet. There is no violet in the description, but damned if I don't smell it, along with the some faint patchouli. At first I didn't like this, as I didn't like the "candy" feel to this, but it quickly faded away. After 20 minutes, I kept getting faint whiffs of a very nice powdery violet patchouli, and wondered who smelled so good. Turned out it was me! I do like powdery scents, but Ravenous sure doesn't have very good throw, kind of a barely there scent. Still, it may be one of those oils that kind of blends itself into you and others notice it more. I move a little, and I get a beautiful "whiff", like she's telling me "I'm here with you, I want to be noticed but in a subtle way". I'm contemplating a bottle for sure.

This really reminds me of Sherezade. I see no scents in the description, but I think there is some kind of musk and patchouli. I didn't know this was a guy scent, it's really quite smooth, and dirty on me in a good way. I have Scherezade though, so probably won't be needing any more of this lovely.

I never would have guessed that there was violets in this when wet and in the bottle. To me, it has more of a honeysuckle/jasmine vibe to it, which is a little too much floral for my tastes. It is fresh though, like other reviewers have stated, and would be a very nice spring/summer scent for those who like honeysuckle/jasmine. I really don't get any violet, which is one floral that I actually like.

When I first got this, it was a lab fresh imp. I opened it, sniffed, and immediately tossed it aside. Very bitter, if I remember correctly, and just for the lack of a better word "blech". I guess it's been 3 months now, and what a wonderful change has taken place! This is a very "golden", warm and sweet scent with a hint of spice. I wish there was no lotus, however, and maybe a little less sweet. It is a bit cloying, but I'm quite impressed by the changes in 3 months, and this scent definitely holds promise for me. Possible future bottle.

This is a very fresh and clean floral to me. I don't smell the rose at all, and my nose isn't good enough to detect the other scents. This isn't me, however, but for those of you who enjoy the notes, it would probably be a great summer scent.

Right away, I smell the citrus, and the spice. It really is quite nice on me for a couple of minutes, then it goes masculine. I'd probably really like this on a guy, but for me, there is too much of a sharpness to it to wear too often. This is a very warm and comforting scent, however, and I'll keep the imp.

This is REALLY sweet and caramelly on me. I wish I got the incense and darkness that others seem to be getting. On me it is basically sweet sugary caramel syrup, a little too foody for my tastes. I'm pretty sure this is a fresh frimp, the oil is very light. Maybe I'll put it away for a few months and try it again later. eta: Later on, I kept getting whiffs of what I thought was Underpants, so this little gem definitely holds promise. Not as much throw, but there is a similar vibe to Underpants.

Wow, this is very rosy and has a sweet cinnamony base. Almost a "red hots" candy tinge to it. For awhile, I got musk, when wet, but not anymore. Very nice, I want to eat my wrists off. I'll definitely keep the frimp!

Going on wet, this is very strong and very overpowering. On drydown, a very nice musk balanced with the vetiver and myrhh, and yes, it is very snakey. Reminds me somewhat of Temple Viper the most I think. I like this, but I have plenty of snakes and musky scents. Very glad to have been frimped this, though!

Helena has great throw. Just a little dab will do you, and silly me slathered on a first try. The rose really is overwhelming and seldom works on me. I smell a whiff of honey, which is not good on me as well. My husband asked me what smelled so good, but too bad for him I'm not going to be wearing it again. Ah well.

This was a frimp from a lovely forumite. DBR, however is not my "thing", so I doubt any of these blends would work for me. Lilac just makes it sweeter to me when it is already sickenly so. I'd be curious how DBR would smell with something "darker", but not enough as to buy it

I like fruitcake and boozy (is it rum?) notes, so not surprised that I love this. I'm not usually for foody, but this is rather enjoyable on a cool fall day. It smells pretty much like fruitcake with lots of dried, candied fruit soaked in rum. Yum!

I'm discovering that I really don't like sweet fruity scents on me. As a room scent, yes, but not on. I do get mango, sweet and somewhat citrussy and it is giving a "sour patch kid" feel to it. I probably would have been all over this 10 years ago, but for now I'll just use it as a room scent. I'm sure this will be great for days when I want a nice tropical feeling atmosphere.

This is sooo beautiful. I'm getting a citrussy, soft floral, very wispy and romantic. It is almost foody, I'm wanting to eat my wrist, but it is more like a fizzy, "girl" drink as I like to call them. Very nice, glad I got this one!! eta: It's about a month later, and this has turned into THE most beautiful red musk blend with the wispy florals taking background. This may have replaced LV as the fave baby scent.

Wet, this is a strawberry, waxy scent, very reminscent of the tube lip gloss that you can buy. The strawberry is definitely not "real", but rather fake. A half hour later, this scent has morphed into something a little more wearable. It is somewhat reminiscent of Pink Sugar, for those that like that scent, me included, but more sweet and waxy. I think this one is a little too sweet for me.

This is quite nice and caramelly on me, with a touch of spice. It is a frottle from the lab, and I'm assuming it's been nicely aging. I don't get masculine at all, just a creamy, beautiful spicy scent. It is kind of reminiscent of Glowing Vulva, but not as strong and more spicy. A very nice surprise!!
-
WOW, this is super strong. I really liked this in the bottle, but the copal and spices are just amping way out of control. It's been an hour, and now the florals are asserting themselves. I'm starting to get a headache from the perfumey association. I haven't quite written this off yet, maybe I just need a drop, or this scent would benefit from some aging.

As soon as LV came out and I read the description, I had to have her. I love both Dorian and Snake Oil, and Lily of the Valley and Vanilla flower are floral faves, even though I generally don't like most florals. In the bottle, the lavender, say's "Hello, I'm here", but it really doesn't last too long as a dominant scent. The Dorian and Snake Oil are present, but everything just kind of blends together as one to create this gorgeous masterpiece. This scent to me is masculine, feminine, maternal, sexy, and childlike all in one, but I don't mean that in a perverted way at all. Just that these scents are contradictory, but blended so well, they are as one. In fact the song "Bitch", by Meredith Brooks kind of describes this scent very well. "I'm a Bitch, I'm a Lover, I'm a Child, I'm a Mother, I'm a Sinner, I'm a Saint..." I cannot stop raving over this scent. It is probably my favourite right now, and I plan to hoard. If possible, this blend will only get better with age, I give it a 10/5 edit to add correct singer, thx Cordia!
