This is yummy, I love the smell in the bottle, honey and apple are a very good combination together imho. Unfortunately, it fads very fast, and kind of smells bland after only 10 or so minutes. Kind of a disappointment, but I'll use up the decant.

I love this stuff! It is like a bad apple, the kind that is still delicious, but sings it's own tune. Haha, not making much sense. I like the resins here, it makes the apple less shampoo-like. I wish I picked up the resins more after the gloss hits my hair, but oh well. This is still nice! I'll probably bring it out in the late summer/early fall.

STRONG graham cracker presence here. That, along with something sweet, and a touch of faded chocolate. This is yummy, but the faint chocolate note is kind of fake, sad to say. I'm wondering if a dark chocolate note would have been better. I'll use up my decant, but do not need anymore.

I love the Tombstone bpal oil, and was heartbroken to realize that I missed out on this when the forum was down:( Luckily, Absinthetics was able to get some for me, and I am forever grateful So, onto the review:) This smells much more like rootbeer when I spray it on my hair, which is OK with me! As it dries, it smells more like the Tombstone that I am familiar with, vanilla, woods, and sassafras. I love this, and glad I have some in my greedy mitts.

Smells fruity in the bottle, but dries down into a lightly scented cacao with more vanilla than fruit on me. I don't like Sugar Skull as a rule, and did have the bath oil a couple of years ago, and it was much too fruity and sweet. This is quite yummy, chocolate and vanilla, and I'll enjoy the rest of the decant.

Weirdly medicinal at first. After a bit, totally different, a sweet beeswax and honey blend. I like this kind of blend, it reminds me of when my mom used to keep bees, and the smell of the sweet wax, with a touch of floral honey. Lovely, and happy I have a half decant.

This is the lab's snow note along with a sweet almond like scent, which I guess is the almond blossom note. I love the smell of the almond blossom, it sweetens up the snow note in a really nice way. The only thing is that I wish it would stick around a bit longer than 10 minutes. The snow note remains, and it is sweeter than normal, but does not retain that lovely almond blossom. Still, I REALLY like this, it's kind of similar to "Go To Sleep Darlings", but a bit more snowier. Come to think of it, it is probably too similar to warrant it's own bottle, but I'd really like the almond blossom to be in more. *hint hint*

Well, I'm pretty well getting jasmine from wet to dry. It's quite pretty, this white jasmine, it's a bit different from the Lab's usual jasmine note, which is very pee-like. This is more like the tiny white flowers that I'm used to, which reminds me, I accidently left my jasmine outside. I'm sure it's dead with the -17 we had last week. Damn. This is pretty, but too heady for me.

Sweet peach at first. After a bit, so black musk, but it is still a peach, (and yes, it is definitely a dried peach!), sweet, spicy and chewy. I wish that the black musk showed it's face a bit more, as it is just too peachy for me. It really evokes autumn, though, and I am enjoying it, but not enough for an upgrade. I'll probably keep my half imp, it's quite nice.

I love me a good citrus, and this one certainly fits the bill. Right off, the yuzu, and a touch of musk at herb, though I probably wouldn't know the thyme or musk was there, but I peeked. It is in the right proportions not to make this one too herbal or musky. This is a lovely, bright, fresh citrus, and it's the first time that yuzu has behaved on me, (so far!). I may keep my eye out for a decant.

At first, cake. Fresh aquatic pretty quickly, crystal clear and a bit salty. Lovely, but I'm not a big fan of aquatics. The cake note disappears almost immediately.

I was curious to see what white patchouli would smell like, so was looking forward to this one. It smells 'cleaner' if that make sense. Patchouli to me has a gritty edge, sometimes rough and dirty. This almost has a citrus twang to it. After a bit, less citrus, but still cleaner than regular patchouli. If Indonesian Red Patch smells less gritty than the black patch, this one smells less gritty than the red one. I think I get some vanilla in there too. I quite like this, and if I wasn't such a poor person, I may have sprung for a bottle, and this isn't a 'must have love', so it's no upgrade for YGS.

Strong cypress at first. After a bit, the patchouli comes out, and the cypress is more muted. In fact it smells like the African patchouli single note now. I like this, but it is a bit too gritty and masculine for me to wear.

Mmm gin! I love the lab's gin note in the early stages, it is so fresh and effervescent. After a bit, though, the gin note often turns into a fungal smell on me, akin to a mild mushroom. Here, it lasts a bit longer, but I'm still getting the fungus vibe. Sigh.

Somewhat offensive to me. I got something like vetiver, smoky and unpleasant, along with woods. Not digging this one, but it fades fast luckily.
-
Strong, soft brown leather at first, fades pretty quickly into a muted patch. I don't get any rum:( This doesn't last on me, and it's too masculine for me to wear. I'd like to smell it on a guy, and hope that it would last longer on them than me.
-
Heady floral at first. The licorice bark comes out in a bit, and adds a nice dimension to the blend. This is soft and pretty, and quite different from anything I've tried. There is a bit of a department store cologne vibe, but it's still pretty. Something I don't think I'd reach for that often, but I wouldn't turn it down if it happen to drop on my lap.

Usually sandalwood smells cool and bracing to me. This one is warm, and is *biting* rather than bracing. Very woody, but kind of sweet. I like this, it kind of reminds me of UOH2, Banshee Beat proto. After a bit, it gets kind of cologney, but it's still nice. I'd like to smell it on a guy.
-
I love the lab's cherry blossom note, but it is pretty much non existent here. I'm getting musky, sour rose, kind of spring-like definitely, but not something I could see myself wearing. Not for me.
-
This really smells like a TAL blend at first, herbal with a clear musky vibe. After a bit, becomes sweet and powdery, which is probably the amber. I like this stage, slightly herbal, sweet and powdery. I'll enjoy the rest of my imp.

Whoah, salted peanut city! This with along a touch of musk. After a bit, less peanuts, more musk, it's more balanced now. It reminds me of Midway, without 'something', though I'm not sure what that would be. Maybe the apple and caramel. This was fun to try, the musk is just excellent, but I could do without the salt note in the end. Just a bit too foody for me.

Resins at first, kind of like a sweetened frankincense. After a bit, still sweeter, but it as faded somewhat. This is quite lovely, it is totally bpal. It reminds me a bit of Zenobia, the warrior queen from a few years back. I like this, but not sure how much I'd wear it, as I gave up Zenobia back in the day too. A decant would be nice though...

Mostly a muted red wine. I like my red's voluptuous, and there's nothing much else here, it's kind of like watered down red wine. Not my thing.

If Only One Knew the Right Way to Change Them

Fruity, of the plum variety, with woods, as described. This smells a LOT like Dionysia, from Carnival Diabolique, to me anyways. This one is a bit tarter, which is a good thing. Nice to try, but I don't even like Dionysia anymore, so this one is off to swaps.
