Jenjin Report post Posted December 26, 2023 HAPPY NEW YEAR! Let’s all turn over a new leaf – and be good Well, it’s worth a shot at least. Rose petals, gargantuan green leaves, and a splashy, fresh chypre.
bygraveyardlight Report post Posted February 25 So green! So rose! So delightful, fresh and fun! This is lots of green leafy goodness (reminds me of frog moon!) With a fresh young, pretty dewy rose. Smells like you just stepped out of your shower where the water is wet, still stem-sticky perfect pink rose petals and their pale green leaves. You must like rose! And you must like green! And if you like both, you will be delighted, as I am. Wearing this I feel like a water nymph a la Waterhouse, stepping out of a spring while draped in silks. Cali Report post Posted February 26 Soooo pretty. I agree with everything bygraveyardlight said. There's that fresh green note that I vaguely remember was in The ghastly garden. Squelchy, greenhousey goodness - several images come to mind. A cozy rainy day in a greenhouse, the nymphs bathing in pale water by a full moon, festive, lush greenery outside just as a party is getting started inside... theredkilt Report post Posted March 4 This is a white rose, similar to the one in Herbert West, with the green elements, reminiscent of the one in Venus Murcia, amped up around the edges. The green leaves stop the rose from becoming too dewy, but some dewiness lingers. All in all, it's a white rose dipped in green musk.
samanare Report post Posted March 31 A very green rose scent. The rose reads as more pink to me, dewy and slightly sugary. The star of the scent is the green stem and leaves of the rose, which smell so strong and vibrate it reminds me of crushed plants. Very fresh and very very green. RoseThornAndOak Report post Posted May 16 (edited) Hey guess what? It's leafy! It's green! Super green, juicy, fresh, bright leaves in the opening. A bit of pretty rose, doesn't amp, and not too powdery. The chypre is nice, a bit of that citrus bite bergamot can have, (but not the Fruit Loops type of bergamot), with a classic moss throughout. Some chypres have patchouli listed as a component, but there's none here. When I sniff close there is an almost tea like note. I really like this. I think fans of vintage everything will adore this. It makes me think of what a vintage chypre would have smelled like when brand new. Clean, nostalgic, soft, and romantic. A bit linear on drydown, I think it would layer well as well as hold its own all by itself. Edited May 16 by RoseThornAndOak
Threemoons Report post Posted June 27 Totally agree with all RE the gorgeous "shower-fresh florist greens/roses." I'm getting more of a white/pink rose, not at all a red rose. Definitely not Rose Red or Peacock Queen rose. This brings back perfect memories of fancy florist shops. I could swear there was also a hint of baby's breath in there somewhere.
