deepquietvoice Report post Posted March 8 I was hoping for something with a lot of pine needle in it, but (perhaps not surprisingly) sweet creamy ol beeswax jumps out to the fore as soon as I put this on. Can I smell the pine needles at all? Ehhhh... I will have to turn to greener scents to get my forest floor fix, it seems. However, this is not bad at all in combo with the main Wolf Moon 2024 scent - it adds a pleasing creamy smoothness to Wolf Moon's scratchy woods.
dancingchair Report post Posted March 14 Wet, this is a mix of smooth, melty beeswax and camphorous pine. As this dries, the beeswax really takes over. The pine is still present, but it's more like pine needles mixed into a beeswax candle. During the dry stage, it's definitely green and pliable fresh pine needle rather than pinewood. It's pretty straightforward, but I like the combination of the swoon-worthy beeswax note and the green pine needle note.
Orafish Report post Posted March 17 (edited) This is a joy, surprisingly it is all about chewy sweet honey backed by a tiny bite of green. The pine never takes over, it stays a step behind the beeswax throughout the wear. This is strikingly similar to the smell of fresh basswood honey, which for those unfamiliar tends to have a light green hue and a slightly medicinal herbal *smell. samanare Report post Posted April 1 The beeswax comes over very resin-y on me and dominates the scent. It ends up being a relatively simple, resin dominated scent, with a hint of pine needles.
doomsday_disco Report post Posted May 1 This is mostly a beeswax single note on me, with just a hint of green in the background from the pine needle. The beeswax is creamy, honeyed, and has a hint of smoke to it that reminds me of Candlelight Atmo. I was hoping there would be more pine in this, but I am getting even less pine than I did from Pine Needles, Frankincense, and Beeswax Absolute. Still, it's a very lovely beeswax scent. I tried layering this with Juniper Berry, Pine Needle, and Hemp yesterday, to see if that would bring out MOAR PINE, but that ended up being beeswax-swirled incense on me. It was a nice combo, though. Although I'm sad that this wasn't more pine-heavy, I'll probably keep this around for layering purposes.
lithie Report post Posted May 24 This is gorgeous! Beeswax is the start and it’s creamy, tinged with vanilla, and smoothed out with a hint of woodiness from the pine. The beeswax in this is very reminiscent of beeswax, bourbon vanilla, and cedar wood (one of my favourites!)
Minh Scent Report post Posted May 25 This is a heavy beeswax with just a tinge of pine. It is a rich , beautiful beeswax. Folks longing for pine may be disappointed.
roseus Report post Posted June 5 This beeswax is incredible, so creamy and reminds me a bit of candlewax notes in other scents. Glowing. The pine blends into it beautifully. Sitting in a cabin by candlelight in a pine forest.
