Weirdgirlpilled Report post Posted April 4 This luper order has been my most successful order so far. Also- Ooh wow I’m the first review!!! ok so i really love this. Definitely strong on the woody patchouli. The vanilla amber and honey are missing for me until about the 2 hour mark, up until which the general vibes was an expensive smelling patchouli. but then!!!! The amber and vanilla slink in slowly. They’re subtle now but i’m assuming that the vanilla amber and honey will, when given time to blossom, quit being so damn shy! Lasts: 8 ish hours Overall rating: 7/10 at the moment but subject to improvement or devastation. Sillage: strong actually- i had my eye doctor ask what i was wearing! marared Report post Posted April 7 Woo loud patchouli and honey. Incredible throw. The amber lends a creamy powderiness under it all, but it is very aggressive patch and honey. It's very delicious, but people will smell you coming down the street! I had a good 8-10 hours out of it, too.
dancingchair Report post Posted April 12 This is also all about the patchouli on me. Luckily, it's a really nice patchouli note. It is a dry and woody variety, not heavily musky like patchouli can sometimes be. It's got an herbaceous waft that makes me believe it's a member of the same family as mint. I can clearly imagine patchouli root freshly pulled from the earth, spicy and shedding clumps of earth. I can smell the powdery honey and amber lurking under the patch. Those notes veer into baby wipes territory but I don't mind at all because I think it contrasts with the patchouli nicely. The honey doesn't really smell funky or floral to me, but it might be because of how much the patch is taking over. I'm generally pretty cagey about patchouli because sometimes I really hate it, but this was a win for me! I'm hoping the honey and amber come out more as it ages. roseus Report post Posted April 13 Such a lovely smooth and woody patchouli! The honey and amber make this beautifully sweetened and chewy. Earthy and sensual, yet refined. Big throw on me!
doomsday_disco Report post Posted April 17 This gives me Banshee Beat/Revenant Rhythm vibes at first with its black patchouli and vanilla, but the honey and the amber gain more strength over time, so that it's mostly honeyed black patchouli on me backed by some amber and a hint of vanilla. I don't think I need to upgrade to a bottle, as I have a few bottles of BB/RR and no other patchouli/vanilla combo has beat that one for me, but if you're looking for a strong honeyed patchouli combo, this will likely be up your alley. Minh Scent Report post Posted April 28 Yes, yes, I put this on and smiled big time because it is so...BPAL! I agree with the Banshee Beat/Revenant Rhythm vibes and the honey adds some extra sweetness to that perfect patch-vanilla combo. The amber reminds me of the one in The Sun's Treasure. Unfortunately I am not enjoying the longevity others are reporting, so I may need a rare backup bottle.
twilighteyes Report post Posted May 1 This smells similar to the original to me (I find Goblin to be closer to Banshee Beat / Revenant Rhythm) but doesn't yet have the depth that patchouli gets from aging. Will set aside for a year or so!
Little Bird Report post Posted May 4 The amber, honey, and vanilla smell just like O to me, with the addition of an earthy yet smooth patchouli that smells like its been roasted (the way tea leaves can be roasted to be warmer and richer) with a hint of cedar in it. It's been forever since I've had a decant of the original Feed Me, but I do remember the amber in the OG going way too powdery for me. This starts off a little powdery and concerning, but within a couple minutes, it shifts into a rich, honeyed, vanilla-y, dark, creamy, amber-y glow. It's very reminiscent of O's thick sweetness and warm amber, but with a wonderful patchouli note swirled into it, making it even more amazing. Possibly multiple bottle hoarding worthy for me. elissamay Report post Posted May 4 Reminiscent of Owl Moon (Bloodmilk), and lasts forever. This is so ridiculously in my patchouli-loving wheelhouse that I bought two bottles blind.
sudenmorsian Report post Posted May 10 I was wondering what this reminded me of until I read a comment above that compared FMAFMWP to O. Yes, the vanilla, honey and amber really are just like O but now with added patchouli. I never thought O would need anything more but now when the patchouli is here I actually like this better. Feed Me and Fill Me With Pleasure is like cool and confident aunt of O, who's seen the world and knows her worth. Lovely, earthy and sensual, indeed.
Amoraexcena Report post Posted May 22 I really love Banshee Beat, and this chewy, approachable patchouli is definitely reminiscent of it. However...the honey is the kind that amps on my skin. BPAL's quintessential honey note: an infernal honey with heat, made from hot pepper flowers grown in Purgatory, cared for by fire imps. It's got attitude, power, and adds a distinct edge to the scent, dangerously sweet, and quite sexy. It's wiping out any trace of vanilla for me. I'm a bigger fan of the more gentle honey dust or white honey notes - this one is a little too intimidating for me to get a full bottle of. BB stays as my favourite patch/vanilla, but I'm glad I finally got to try this one! I can see it work really well for folks who like that powerful honey note + patchouli. Tamarinda Report post Posted July 17 I was worried that the patch in this would be the kind that goes dirtacular one me. The patch is fine. It's a sophisticated, subdued patchouli. But the honey? The honey in this blend is the type that goes powdery on my skin. It smells fairly awful on me, but I'm not mad. I appreciate this perfume sparing me from the gimme gimmes.
